Mr Brownstone 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Roeder is trying to get Lita on a half season loan. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_4716189,00.html Can''t see Reading going for it with him being out of contract in the summer and if the rumours are to be believed, other clubs willing to pay a fee for him in January. Gentleman Jim 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Can''t imagine why he, or any other player, would want to play for our ailing set up.
Alex Moss 2,165 Posted December 29, 2008 According to that report ''Leroy has said he''d very much like to stay''.
First Wizard 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Ratty''s just tryng to look good, Reading know Leroy can walk away for free in the summer, and they won''t want that.

blinded by the story 0 Posted December 29, 2008 we are forgetting that Rodent has an extensive contacts book and is loved within the game so it is obvious that any Football club would prefer to loan him a player rather than sell the player who can walk for free in the summer.more spin for the sheep
Ex-greenoschin 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted this on Xmas eve but think it got lost over xmas lol:Re: Lita for £300k??? Spoke to ND today and he was saying that Reading obviously want to sell but Leroy has one eye on being a free agent at the end of the season and has ideas about doing something then and doesn''t to commit to anything in January. He was saying that in light of this it would be best to try for a loan to the end of the season if they can get Reading to agree. Not knocking Leroy as it is a case of looking out for what is best for him, but at the end of the day we can all want him to join, including the club, but if he doesn''t want to commit and thinks there is something better at the end of the season we are going to find it hard to get his commitment. He finished by saying he hoped we would be able to do something but would probably be at the end of the transfer window and this would probably be a loan to the end of season. Merry Xmas one and all.
ZLF 274 Posted December 29, 2008 we are all hoping to keep lita; but he is one among at least 3 other must buys this jan, central defence, central midfield and centre forward
NCFC_Shaun 0 Posted December 29, 2008 This is stupid. Why on earth would Reading send him out on loan for the last 6 months of his contract. They would sooner sell him for a tenner ...If we do get him on loan it shows how stupid and out of control the loan system has become. With clubs using it at every opportunity when it doesn''t have any form of reason behind it ...

We have still not replaced Francis. A box to box, attacking midfielder who will get us around 10 goals a season ...
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted December 29, 2008 It''s now on the Pink''Un........http://www.pinkun.com/content/ncfc/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&tBrand=PinkUnOnline&tCategory=Norwich&itemid=NOED29%20Dec%202008%2010%3A42%3A29%3A147 “When you look at injuries, a couple of loan players that have gone back, we are down to about 14 outfield players. We need to increase that to as many as we can, but I''m not silly, I know the situation. We won''t be able to get in five or six but hopefully we will be able to get in two or three.”So we are going to head into the 2nd half of our relegation dogfight with "hopefully" 16/17 players. Whats a right winger 0 Posted December 29, 2008 It might not make sense to Reading who want to sell, but it would make sense to Leroy as he would be a free agent in the summer and able to negotiate a decent signing on fee(may be the same with Crofty?).Leroy does not have to sign for anyone its his choice even if Reading agree a fee. Under those circumstances maybe Reading would take a (smallish ) fee of us to effectively have him on a five month contract. Total guesswork but a certain logic to it

Whats a right winger 0 Posted December 29, 2008 TRANSFER FEE goes to Reading not Leroy. Free agent in the summer equals fee & decent wages to Leroy. Its Leroy who decides where he''s going not Reading. But agree there are more clubs out there who may have same intentions, although if they''re in CCC Reading may prefer one who are no threat to them. By the way I couldn''t see Leroy signing for us even if we cme up with the fee. He wouldn''t want to risk League one and I do think thats where we areheaded with Roeder. Strange our best/only players yesterday were Worthy signings

ZLF 274 Posted December 29, 2008 Reading site says nothing we dont already know - he is clearly back to Reading for now.More interested in Alex Pearce; did alright for us last year and would be a useful permanent centre back signing I would have thought.
