Matt Morriss 69 Posted August 13, 2008 what then? im normally optimistic but i really fear were in trouble if we dont get a striker in. We have no leaders or match winners, no Dion no Hucks. Its not looking good.I know its early but we had trouble last season scoring goals and now weve lost our 2 main contributors to the goals Dion and Hucks and we havent replaced either of them. renegade tootsie 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Wow are you a scout? You must be as obviously the clubs scouting team missed this gem you spotted... renegade tootsie 0 Posted August 13, 2008 We have no leaders (Stefanovich may be this eventually?) and no strength or genuine speed on the pitch. The solid spine that wins this division is first name on the team sheet for a solid goaie, centre back, central midfielder and striker. Apart from Marshall who is at last shouting at the defence, we have NONE of this spine.

Beauseant 0 Posted August 13, 2008
i was merely voicing an opinion
Yes,but it didn''t conform to JC''s narrow world view,so it''s not admissable. If you''d added something about burning Delia, one of the forum''s chief bullies might have ignored you and looked for easier prey to give a quick kicking to! norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted August 13, 2008 I think our only hope is to sign Wendy Hurrell as Cureton''s partner up front. She wouldn''t have a transfer fee, perhaps a lil bit of compensation, and her weekly wage would be easily affordable. Get her to play in a top and shorts 2 sizes too small and instruct her to do stretches and some aerobic type movements and be all girly in front of the oppostion defenders and keeper. This will give Curo the opportunity to nip in and score, Premiership here we come!
Houston Canary 0 Posted August 13, 2008 If we don''t get that striker, or how about WE WON''T GET THAT STRIKER, then we will be promised big changes in January. When January rolls around, nothing will happen for a few weeks and anyone who makes a worried comment about lack of deals for us will be told by the brainwashed few who always forgive crap decision making. Along the way, we will be told there simply are no funds to pay for the striker we need to be successful. After the window closes, we will be promised big changes in the summer. As the months roll by, the same faithful few will denounce any criticism of the lack of activity, and insist signings are imminent.
