Mook 0 Posted May 13, 2008
Fabio Rochemback, Mendieta and Dong Gook Lee- Mendieta would be great for us
Yep. Formerly the world''s most expensive footballer sharing a midfield with Russell or Fotheringham. Good shout. I''ve heard there''s a kid at Barcelona, Lionel someone-or-other.... GJP 79 Posted May 13, 2008 Has Mendieta he even played in the last 2 or 3 years??? He had a couple of of very good seasons for Valencia and that was it. Not saying he''s not a good player but he''s nothing special.

we8wba 0 Posted May 13, 2008 no, its pure guess work really! im basing it on our last summers dealing and januarys dealings- and you have to agree wolves look to have the bigger budget! im not saying they make the most of it or being succesful but we made few million pound signings in both windows! but in a way i could say we have made the most of it as we were very familar circumstances few years back and we stayed in touch with playoffs every year at worse and you have slowly taking a drop each year!as to the 3 players am i only one who think the only realistic one is the korean chap? the other two will come with far too high wages i feel for any club bar qpr. Not saying he''s not a good player but he''s nothing special.
For two or three years Mendieta was probably one of the bestplayers in Europe. During that period Valencia reached two Champions League finals in a row and he was voted best midfielder in the competition in both of those years. When he decided he wanted to leave Valencia he wasunder the impression that he would be moving to Real Madrid butValencia refused to sell him to another Spanish club, I think they''reattempting something similar at the moment with David Villa. There wasno way back at Valencia and he was sold to Lazio even though he didn''treally want to go there. Unsurprisingly things didn''t work out and seven years later he ends up being released by Boro, a rather undignified end to what could have been a brilliant career.Would be great to see him in a City shirt but I think it''s rather unlikely. Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,627 Posted May 13, 2008 Dong has proved himself to be useless, Rochemback would never join us and Mendieta''s wages would cost a bomb.Should be in the transfer section as well...
