Fozzy would have lost the ball today aswell, he is as good passer as Pattison.

Try watching the game next time you go, assuming you do go.

[/quote]I watch the games week in week out. I go. Fozzy was there against leicester. He was their against Sheff utd and at home against Blackpool. All are below Ipswich. And he did F all in those game. A luxury that we missed today or not as the case may be. Who knows he''s an average player in a $h!TE squad. some you win and some you don''t

I was gonna say the same. His retention of the ball is good, he keeps the game ticking over and always wants the ball. Something we missed badly today.

One goal a season is quite impressive. NC have scored 5 league goals from midfield this season. Not bad if you ask me.

Fozzy can retain the ball all bloody day long but he isnt producing f all in terms of creating and scoring goals. Overated big time.

The fact that alot of people see Fozzy as the ''saviour'' baffles me. It really does.

He''s not a saviour but he is the player that finds the Huckerby''s, Croft''s and Dublin''s to ignite us. How many times did Hucks get the ball yesterday? I think even he said we miss Fozzy......

When the wheels came off under Grant, it was when Fozzy got injured.  Yesterday shows that he is needed as the engine of the team; I have been critical of him in the past and questioned what he added to the side but we were overrun yesterday and I think it would have been harder to cut through us with Pattison, Russell and Fotheringham in the midfield.

Fozzy is well below the standard needed if this club has any aspirations of promotion , offering new contracts to people like him and Doc just tells you we are in for more of the same next season .

Yep, I agree with most of that MC.

I reckon he''ll have been bloody frustrated to have picked up that injury on Saturday. He''s our captain, he''s a driving force in our midfield, he''s very passionate, he can get stuck in and put his foot on the ball and pass it accurately from central positions. I think we missed him quite a bit after his injury against Southampton back in August.

But he will need good competition for next season if he''s going to stay and improve further, which I hope he does on both counts.

lets put it this way if i heard wolves were signing him for 500k i would be bitterly dissopointed in that case i say he over rated

keep him next year as squad player but you need new centre mid to play alongside russell imo

maybe whelan if stoke go up? commons?

Good idea in theory weswb. However we would have to offer him a new contract to keep him. I think he thinks he is the business and he will expect a massive salary increase. He doesnt merit one. Commons would be good but would prob be way outside our price range.

Fozzy is a poor man''s safri and safri was a poor replacement of what we had before. Don''t get me wrong fozzy is a good player but not a player that could make you go places. Just to add I like commons and with hux (probably) going I''d love to see him maybe come in as a replacement. I think he is good enough and my forest supporting neighbour rates him as well.
