canary cherub 1 Posted April 22, 2008 Well deserved. Many years ago I used to travel away on Lil''s coach. I remember a trip to Carlisle in December (could have been 1969, 70 or 71), we left Friday midnight, lads straight out of the pub and onto the bus, had to stop four times before we got to Kings Lynn. Over the Pennines in the snow in the early hours, reached Carlisle in time for breakfast in a cafe with steamed up windows, it was so cold we stayed in there till kickoff. Open terraces covered in sheet ice, snowed all game, lost 3-0. Got home about 2.30am so sleep deprived I started hearing voices that weren''t there. Those were the days . . . She don''t much like The Doc! I know better than to argue though[;)]
