UNBELIEVABLE !!

Recommended Posts

Yes, that''s right, un f***in'' believable!!  No defeat, oh no.  Not a loss, not a stuffing, not a hammering ..... in 13, YES ladies and gentlemen 13 whole games, in the league, of 90mins plus. OH NO, all it took was a 1-1 draw,  a home draw against a good side who happen to sit several places above us in the league and guess what?  They''re out already.... the doom mongers and pessimists.   "The bubble has burst for me now"  and several "we won''t make the play off''s now".

I thought the word was "supporter" as in one who "supports" the club.  Come on guys, have a little faith in the Roeder revolution! Instead of all the negativity can''t we all be more positive?  You would have thought that there would be a feel good factor around the club and all of the fans at the moment. Just take a long hard look at where we were, then look at where we are!  11 places higher and 11 points off the bottom.  Now who''s to say that we can''t make up 7 points and 7 places before the end of the season.

There are too many people who don''t want us to aspire to better things for fear of disappointment, too many of the "we don''t want to be seen to be doing too well or someone will nick our manager" brigade.  Too many, I''d settle for mid table safety this season.  Well what about next season? Are you going to settle then too? You might as well support Wolves!  I''d settle for promotion this season, and Qualification for Europe the next season, how does that sound? I''m dreaming am I? Well good, because I''ll bet there is a dressing room full of players pulling on yellow shirts every week with that same dream, of playing in the Premiership and travelling to Italy and Spain to play and I, for one, will be "supporting" them every step of the way and hoping that next season I''ll be watching them play Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and all.

oh and ps. those who said we8wba knows what he''s talking about .........yeah right !

Great post Scooby.  Unfortunately, the negative disease has infected a lot of the posters.  If they can''t enjoy a 13 match unbeaten run, it shows that they are just moaners and nothing else.

Bring on Leicester.

what have i deserved to take another snip shot? i dont think even said anything bad in last week to wind anyone up

norwich can get in playoffs, they talking bout wolves yes wolves who 2pts above you saying we need minimum 9win out 14 games to get in on 71pts

well norwich are 2pts of us, so technically you need 10wins to leave you on 72pts, may sound lot points but remember our goal diff could ultimately cost us, and already worth extra 1pt to like palace, ipswich on us

its possible to win that many, but realistically you can afford lose maybe 1game? as you will prob least draw 3 games and win 9,

13 and no defeat is good, but can norwich get 1 defeat in 27matches? i very much doubt this, you have good squad, but you are no world beaters

i happen notice the following BIG fixtures left in your season

watford - AWAY

stoke - Home

sheff utd - AWAY

bristol c - AWAY

Ipswich - AWAY

wba - home

qpr - home

also few toughies in there to grab 3pts in games like leicester away (very winnable, but also could be banana skin) coventry (the same as leicester away) sheff weds (away last game could be fighting for survival) colchester (home end march - many relegation threatened teams put good runs towards the end

Basically im not saying norwich cant do it, but maybe you will see how hard it will be to succeed now, when you drop points you tend to drift further away and when you win you seem to only gain 1pt on the 6th place team

i think if season ran for another 46games then yes norwich make it but i feel its to late for push for both our teams in all honesty

Not really having a "snip" just a bit of a laugh but I do wish you''d stop quoting all your fact''s and figures at us, they don''t wash.  After all, look at Sunderland ! Anything is possible.

Also, not quite the point of the thread

Also...... please try and punctuate.  I don''t mean to be picky but it makes your comments extremely difficult to read, especially the long ones....... Thank you [:D]

Firstly, you support Wolves - who alot of City fans genuinely dislike and as such there will always be people on here who will give you stick. If you don''t like it, there is an easy option!

Secondly, that''s impossible. If you win, you will either make up 3 points, 2 or none depending on whether the team above you has won, drawn or lost.

I bet you wouldn''t get such a pedantic reply on a Wolves site!?!?

Not impossible at all Einstein. You are assuming the team in 6th is always the same when in fact they can chop and change i.e if we win, the team in 6th loses and a team two points behind them also wins we make up only one point on 6th. QED

we8wba, I don''t think it was a personal snipe at you. You have to realise that alot of Norwich fans have a deep seated, longstanding dislike from their Wolves counterparts.

I thought you would have realised it by now. Just your lot and the bin lickers down the road though.

Back on topic, I for one am more than happy with how things have gone since Roeder and Clarke took over the reighns. Look at the job they took on and the points tally at the time they arrived. Hard not to be happy.

think you find most time the 6th place team doesnt win the 7th or 8th placed win

i.e 8th and 7th are 1pt off 6th

norwich say are 6pts of 6th

you win 6th lose, 7th 8th win

you are now 5pts off 6th placed team.

but if you lose and 6th lose

but 7th 8th win

they go 6th place team gains 2pts on you

pretty hard understand but if you can understand it, it will become clear (i havnt used the right facts figures, tried to keep it easy for people try understand)

BigFish / we8wba......I offer a full and unreserved apology. I hadn''t considered that and feel extremely foolish!

Still - my point about hating Wolves is still valid!

Oh dear it must be half term. I happen to believe that we will not make the play offs, not because I am "not a supporter" and not because we drew with Hull but because I believe that our poor start leaves us at a disadvantage. I really hope I am proved wrong and our run is sustained but the fact remains we have a few tough games coming up and I for one think it will be difficult for us to sustain the run untill the end of the season.

I don''t think we''ll make the play-offs either. We just don''t score enough goals to get the wins we need. And I''m not sure that''s a bad thing. I would rather see this team develop and get promotion next season. Then we might do a Reading in the Premier, rather than a Derby. Not sure that makes me a moaner, though. Roeder has done a wonderful job, and looked like the perfect fit for this club right from the start. I am delighted with the job he has done and have enjoyed every moment of our unbeaten run, especially the away wins at Southampton and Cardiff. The man''s a legend as far as I''m concerned. And although I think the play-offs are beyond us, I will be singing my heart out at every single game I go to between now and the end of the season, hoping that the very unlikely becomes possible.otbc.

Good man. I agree that the play-offs are a faint hope but considering where we were, it''s a miracle we''re even talking about them. However, I don''t agree that this season is too soon to be promoted. It seems to me that come the summer, Glenn will have to do a massive rebuilding job wherever we finish. He potentially faces losing all the loan signings as well as Dion and possibly Hucks. And that''s from an already thin squad. I trust Glenn''s judgement and contacts to bring in quality players. What I don''t have faith in is the amount of money he will have available for that rebuildiong job. Promotion would make a very big difference.

Maybe, but your rapidly evolving into an elderly fruitcake Aunt who''s outstayed her welcome. Mad ramblings, with only sparodic bouts of sanity and with feint odour of  wee, it''s time to pack your bags and catch the sunshine coach up to the Midlands

[/quote]In all fairness I treasure your input. Some people on here may shout "get off my land" but I say this is a foobtall forum first of all and I think outside voices are good. Puts perspective on arguments that NCFC supporters couldn''t give.Personaly I don''t think the draw with Hull will effect our chances much - what I said before was that we could make the play-offs but we would be relying primarily on teams above us slipping up because there are quite a number we have already played twice and whilst we have some easier teams in there they tend to be away from home.I doubt Wolves will make the play-offs either. They have a rediculous number of strikers, none seem to be that in-form and none seem to be given that much of a chance to get in form either. They must have one of the most valuable striking departments in the league and yet look at their goal tally! What is most important about this season is that we go into the end on a high note and either in the play-offs or just outside of them to prove we want top flight football and maybe attract one or two players as a result. At the end of the day though one thing I do disagree with we8wba on is our players. For all the money spent we are two points off Wolves, we have Marshall who is premiership material, Fotheringham and Russell who both could at least do a job there and Croft who when on form could be a good proposition up there too. Our defence is the shakiest part of the team at the moment but having said that Shackell is getting better once more and Semmy looks good too - not going to be many wingers that are going to get an easy run with him marking them.

good post, i dont mind people disagreeing with me at all on here when they put it into contructive post like this

marshall would deffo cut it in the prem, semmy maybe given time but then many your fans asking can he cut it in our league? would be good squad player, but 1st choice its bit difference coming up vs ronaldo and cole then say your kightlys, brunts, varneys (the best in our league)

as to your midfielders russell would i feel, fozzy unsure maybe as squad player, you couldnt keep the pair as your main two though in my opinion as they would get slaughtered. russell would need a tight defensive player in prem with expereince or physical presence, i remember at molineux he was nowhere as breiller didnt help him at all and he was physical out of the game.

hucks if he regains old form may stay on for one last crack at prem, he would do job if he found old form

obvisously if loanees like evans betrand can stay either perm or loan then this helps a great deal but im just saying you cut out all the loans and you go up it will be very intresting summer

personally i feel both our sides miss out, we need 9wins to get to 69-73pts roughly out of 14 games is it

personally one of those sides above us could win 8 games and knock us both out

our goal differences are very poor which is costing us both 1pt

i think the only postive for either of us to get in is fact hull plymouth burnley dont strike fear into me at all

im more worried of palace, ipswich and cardiff if im honest and believe its 6way race for 1place with maybe sheffutd as outsiders because they sort team who can win 12 or so of the remaining games
