Safri's injury / tightness / tiredness...

Recommended Posts

anybody catch Ali on canary call

Safri''s mate whom has called before.

He says Safri had a calf strain and wasnt ''tired'' after all. After he said that one of the BBC guys (believe it was Goreham) said the local press had asked to speak to Safri at the Thursday press call. The club said he was unavailable.

He is the same guy whom phoned to say that safri wanted to leave as he didn''t get on with Grant, that was back in December.  He also rang to say Safri wanted to play when Bobinson was being picked ahead of him in an unbeleivable error of judgement from Grant.

Also from the canaries.co.uk messageboard:

"Grant actually origninally said that he was out because of a tightness and tiredness, it very much sounds as though it was more tightness than being tired. He then on Tuesday stated it was tiredness and on Thursday that he was aching all over. I admit that this is partially a change of emphasis, but its not really consistent."
Really can''t agree with you there. Safri is the one midfielder we have who can pull the strings in the centre of the park and pass the ball about. We really struggle when he isn''t playing and how you can say he''s lazy i''ll never know. He runs everywhere and often has to carry Etuhu as well!

However $. hite you say he is, he''s one of our best central midfielders, hang on, probably the best.

I agree Huck Tastic....

Funny how Smudger thinks we''re  interested in his opinion on a football related matter. This guy hasnt been to a game for a year and a half too apparently, nuff said.

actually James is Joe Ferrari''s assistant at NCFC in the media department.  The words Fatigue of the Groin and Leg came from Peter Grant.  It was NOT GENERAL TIREDNESS, as was portrayed in the media.
Once again I fail to see how you can possibly form that opinion having not seen him play in what must be a very long time.Safri is one of our top midfielders, his passing and tackling is excellent.

Yes I heard the call CJF, I replied further in a duplicate thread further down the page. This was my take on it.

I thought that the foreign gentleman who rang Canary Call yesterday and said he was a close friend of Safri''s, made some really good points. He sounded genuine to me and said that Safri had never asked to not be included for tiredness but that he was carrying a knock/injury. The gentleman said that both he and Safri couldn''t understand why the club had come out with their tiredness story and made it clear that Safri wants to play in every single game and is committed to our cause.

Makes you wonder whats going on there doesn''t it,  guess thats a question for the next fans forum!
