Sufyellow 250 Posted January 9 How much should we be spending on governance? It was 500,000 to directors in 2023 accounts I believe. Who was all that too?
essex canary 623 Posted January 9 Zoe. Some people will tell you it is worth every penny and seriously expect us to believe they are not joking. 1

It's actually quite serious from both sides Nige , can we afford to add more governance when it is that much already. Next season we are making loses , only way to limit it is sell players

Annatasio and his Aussie friends would be encouraged by investing in a PL side also. S-d the humiliation. It's the system, use it.

It rarely works out for you but don’t lose hope yet buddy. It's all beyond this bog cleaning, bingo calling male model…

I provide my expertise (I know plenty here will scoff but ....) to three organisations for nowt, the only cost to them is the cost of executive staff indulging me in my observations & challenge and listening to my advice. I am sure the folks at the Carra could get a similarly inclined person to join the Board to fulfil that role without payment, but just a little budget for appropriate external advice when there is a definite lack of experience in house. Then it is just a question of spending it right. Along with Purps, I have severe reservations they have employed the right advice for all the shenanigans associated with Takeover Panel dealings, the club is paying for it now in the elongation of the time for Attanasio to formally assume his agreed role.

Let love shine a light Indeed, if they loved a non-executive director enough, then they can always hide behind them, spread their love and everyone would love them and hate the non-exec director. There is another advantage in having a board fall guy! 😉
