Give Wagner until January…

Recommended Posts

I get the feeling he won't be going anywhere until Webber is gone. Doubt we can really afford to let him go nevermind him being Webbers best mate and him being sacked would mean Webber would have to admit he was wrong yet again.

I do think that if we get all our players back we would be doing much better, but lots of questions have to be had about Wagners love of certain players over others, his nonsenical subsituions and his poor to awful tactics and formations.

if we are still underperforming, don’t renew his contract.

Would rather not.  Would rather terminate his contract now, use a temp manager until new DoF is in post - he can hire someone and give them whatever we have for the window

We might as well try and support the team. I do think we have a really honest bunch of players everyone is putting a shift in but tactics are just too high risk. Webber does not have the authority to sack him. It will be Knapper first job I would imagine but then it looks like this season is a right off which is a bit grim.

Maybe a stop gap manager might emerge due to being sacked elsewhere in the coming months. Alex Neil maybe.

If we now have the most goals conceded, my main concern about Wagner is his refusal to change our defence.

Yes our midfield doesn't protect our defence, and yes everyone makes mistakes, but Duffy/Gibson are regularly making mistakes that directly lead to conceding a goal. We are gifting goals every game, which doesn't help when we have strikers who don't know how to score.

We have alternatives in Batth & Warner (even Hills looks like he's doing ok on loan) so it's incredulous he sticks with this pairing every game. If he can't see this, or is prepared to change it, then he deserves the criticism, even getting sacked.

Knapper isn't yet in the door, and it would be suicide to consider Webber being involved in another recruitment after getting these two so wrong, so we're completely stuffed!

January? January? To turn it round?

Imagination is a wonderful thing.

He should have gone long ago but I would have settled for first thing this morning.
