Hook's-Walk-Canary 213 Posted May 30, 2023 Ted Macdougall, in my ever so humble opinion.
norfolkngood 1,087 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) Sutton was fantastic Fleck because my family in Glasgow raved about him as a good goalscorer before he signed remember him coming on as sub late on for his first game ( evening kick off ?) standing in the Barclay as a new hero arrived Dean Ashton you could tell he was a class player sadly injury ended what would have been a fantastic career Edited May 30, 2023 by norfolkngood

shefcanary 2,437 Posted May 30, 2023 Wow, Give It To Varco! Having read the archives his was a strange career, became a good striker with us by accident seemingly, it was a while before he became prolific. As for Busby, never would have thought his strike rate was so high, perhaps I was still pining for the loss of Supermac, or maybe it was all down to the players around them? NorfBhoy66 7 Posted May 30, 2023 Ted MacDougall or Grant Holt, could score with head or feet, something Pukki couldn't do

Mike w 46 Posted June 1, 2023 Probably predate most of you, Sorry I forgot Terry Bly in 1959 put 2 past Man Utd in 3-0 FA Cup win. Beat Spurs in Quarter final and lost out in semi final to a dubious goal by Luton Town . Little man but boy did move with good support from Terry Alcock. Were in Division 3 south then and got promoted next season if I recall
cor blast bor 0 Posted June 1, 2023 Ron Davis by a mile First offer sold to Southhampton for a pittance as usual !
sonyc 5,541 Posted June 1, 2023 Probably MacDougall for me but a difficult call compared to one of my favourite strikers, Kevin Drinkell. He was able to score all kinds of goals. If Earnshaw had stayed with us longer too. Recall being excited he had signed for us. We need a proper striker now to replace Teemu. Our success season next year depends on it imho.
