benchwarmer 625 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) Spurs 3 down after 9 minutes at St James, Murphy scores twice. Back four utterly shambolic. Spurs fans walking out. Edited April 23, 2023 by benchwarmer
Branston Pickle 3,698 Posted April 23, 2023 Wow, walking out already - were they at FCR yesterday?

I wasn't there but understand that City fans (those who stayed) stopped booing and gave them the silent treatment instead. You know it's all over when that happens. Branston Pickle 3,698 Posted April 23, 2023 It is a bit weird as many of us felt Josh was the better of the two, he’s at Oxford at the mo.
benchwarmer 625 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) 4-0 now after 19 minutes. More Spurs fans flooding out . . . Make that 5-0. Anyone else reminded of City v. Colchester? Edited April 23, 2023 by benchwarmer

Jacob was the better of the two playing for us and in loan spells. Josh probably had a little more natural talent but Jacob applied his better. They both are a credit to their family and our club. Ian 1,136 Posted April 23, 2023 It wouldn't be unreasonable to draw parallels between where Tottenham and Norwich are as clubs at the moment. I wonder if the problems at both have similar root causes as well?

He was at first but Jacob caught him up and passed him. Josh had bags of pace but seemed to lack something in the decision-making department. king canary 7,680 Posted April 23, 2023 His career turn around has been pretty staggering. He seemed on the way out a few seasons ago now he's a key starter in a club chasing the top 4. Full credit to the lad.

Interestingly, both sets of fans have a significant element who would rather see good football than winning football (mistakenly in my view). Today they're getting neither. benchwarmer 625 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) Wish I could be a fly on the wall in the Spurs dressing room at half time. Chris Waddle on R5 tearing them to shreds - 'clueless, embarrassing, disgraceful'. They should send him in there. Come to think of it, Dominic Raab is out of a job . . .
