The moon landing was fake

Recommended Posts

Is something some people say. But why? I don't get it. What would be the point in faking it?

After all one of the main reasons that America decided to try and walk on the moon was that they heard that the USSR was planning to do the same and the very idea of those dirty no good commies landing on the moon and planting a USSR flag on it shook America to its very core.. They could never let that happen.

And so they beat them to the moon, planted the stars and stripes in the moon dirt and celebrated a big victory over the red meance.

And you know whats odd? People say that it was all fake. Shot in Hollywood, some anti gravity machine, a wall painted black we've heard it all.

But if it was fake.. Why didn't the USSR say so? Why did the USSR congratulate come out and publicly congratulate America for landing on the moon?

If it was fake why did the USSR not say so? They had cameras, monitoring equipment all up in space pointing right at the moon, satellites and all. So if it was fake.. Why didn't the USSR say so and point out the biggest conspiracy known to man all done by their sworn enemy?

I can understand some people saying that maybe global warming and climate change is exaggerated by companies looking to make money, same with Covid which while was of course a nasty virus there should be no doubt many companies did all they could to scare the public and make as much cash as they could from things. Those kind of 'conspiracies' I understand beacause they have reasons people would do so. Money to made.

So why fake the moon landing?

This is similar to the flat earth thing -

What would be the point?

As in what would scientists, experts, governments have to gain by lying about it?

Why do the flat-earthers get so wound up about something that ultimately doesn't matter whether it is true or not? (they are obviously f***ing deluded too)

It's hilarious.

They even made a film about faking it. Well Mars but the same idea.

Capricorn one

Three astronauts (James Brolin, Sam Waterston, O.J. Simpson) are about to launch into space on the first mission to Mars. But when a mechanical failure surfaces that would kill the three men, NASA removes them from the Capricorn One capsule. To prevent a public outcry, NASA launches the capsule unmanned and requires the astronauts to film fake mission footage in a studio. However, the plan is compromised when an ambitious journalist (Elliott Gould) discovers the conspiracy.

Maybe they just made it to throw people off the scent 🤔

Because its easy to convince people who are sceptical about everything and believe nothing.

According to a YouGov poll of 2019:

One in six Britons (16%) say the moon landing was ‘probably’ (12%) or definitely (4%) staged. Interestingly, older respondents are considerably more likely to say this statement is definitely false than younger respondents (62% of those aged 55 or older, 48% of 45 to 54 year olds and 50% of 18 to 24 year olds).

and,

The theory that the Earth is flat rather than round was the least popular on the survey: just 3% of Britons say it’s ‘probably’ or ‘definitely’ true. Just over nine out of ten (93%) believe it’s false, while 4% claim that they don’t know.

That's an awful lot of crazy Britons about.

The best flat earth story I ever heard was of a guy who joined the US navy because he was convinced he would get to see the edge of the earth as it was obviously a secret kept by the armed forces.

After half an hour out at sea, by reference to the horizon, his chief had convinced him it was round. The guy still had to do his full five years though!
