You know he doesn't get the transfer fees right?

I’m not saying he did or didn’t. But in Bellamy’s day It would be unusual for an agent not to negotiate a signing on fee for whatever club they are signing for.

Whether or not a player receives a 'cut' of a transfer fee depends on the agreed contract and negotiations between the two clubs and the player or player’s agent.

Very sad that he has been let down. He gave at least £1m to a charity he set up in Africa to help children.

That's how the Nigerian King in the email to him worded the investment anyway.

I mean, I'm guessing he lost half of it to divorce.

And bankruptcy often doesn't mean losing the shirt off your back and complete destitution. If done correctly you'll lose luxury items, second homes, but will often get to keep your primary residence, car, and a lot of your belongings.

Most interesting bit to me was where he said he hadn't done drugs "since his teens". We brought him to Norwich 2 years early to get him away from a rough area. He always has a lot of good to say about us, and no wonder, we'd clearly saved him from real destitution, he has been open about how some of his childhood friends became heroin addicts, even taking one into his house when he was at Newcastle to try and clean him up.
