I believe that is very much the case. I did wonder if any news was being supressed because we are in the transfer window, but I now think that isn't much of a factor. shefcanary 2,956 Posted June 29, 2022 As an aside, I went for my annual dental check up yesterday (all A OK thanks), my dentist is the Blades team dentist. He went to their training ground last week when they reported back for pre-season to do assessments on the players. He reported that the training ground building had been stripped to the walls prior to a full refurb, but the current Pauper Prince owner had the work stopped as he saw no reason paying for it whilst there was potential of a new owner coming in. Thus the complex was in a bit of a state. The Pauper Prince has now reluctantly given the go ahead for the work to be completed (just imagine what any prospective player would think, especially if comparing it to Colney). The only problem being all the trades originally contracted are not available, whilst the rest of the regions trades are all booked up or having their holidays. Oh dear. The bottom line being still no sense that the Blades American takeover is near completion, despite it being made public over two months ago. So I think we will continue to hear nothing until suddenly it is announced. A bit like some of our transfer dealings. If nothing comes of it, we may well just carry on waiting and waiting, never hearing anything, unless someone involves leaks something (sorry, that’s not a phrase that creates a pleasant mental image).
