Take a look at how many shots Ronnie had to have though to get his goals. Way out in front, nearly double the shots Lukaku had for five more goals. Plus Lukaku killed him on assists, 11 to 2.

Ronnie actually made Juventus weaker, mainly because so much money was spent on him that it weakened the team, which well be less of a problem at manyoo.

I do agree completely with that; even though Ronaldo was top scorer last season, Lukaku definitely outperformed him.

You're spot on about Juventus being weaker because of Ronaldo too as they had to make cuts elsewhere and the midfield was a shambles by their own high standards last season.

However, neither of these things take anything away from the fact that Ronaldo, as an individual, had an excellent season on a personal level last year, which his numbers back up.

Thought Omo played well as did Idah. Unlucky not to get at least a point. Great experience for the two lads - and Bonanza in goal too.

No shock when facing Ronaldo, probably the best player of all time. Check the stats they are unbelievable at club and international level.

No way is Ronaldo the way he is naturally. In his first season at Man Utd his team mates mocked him for being a skinny kid. Then literally in the space of 2 months over the summer of that season he came back a tank. Not even great genetics can do that when you start so skinny and do so much cardio.

He's relatively 'skinny' now if you compare him the likes of Lukaku. It's not unusual that a driven athlete like Ronaldo can maintain fitness and lack of body fat in mid 30s.

I think he's on a pretty strict plant based diet as well, and has been lucky with no serious injuries which means he can can train, train and more training.

He is one of the most driven professionals in the game. If the implication is that he is doping, there is no way he wouldn't have been caught considering the length and profile of his career.

Not saying you're wrong.... but a similar thing would've been said about Lance Armstrong before he eventually returned and was caught (indeed that was the very argument he gave... I have never tested positive for performance enhancing drugs).

NB NOT saying that is the case with Ronaldo!!
