Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,560 Posted June 4, 2019 Apparently a lot of this briefing is coming straight from Leicester City. They are now actively looking to sell Maddison and reinvest the cash to strengthen across their squad. They feel after last season he’s at peak value (for them). The City links are probably bogus as they are lining up Phil Foden to make more appearances next season. Man U seem the most likely destination as they will be running into homegrown quota issues should they move Jones, Smalling, Pogba and Young on this summer (as they are trying to do). Could be a pay day coming for Norwich, but still unclear if any of the interest is concrete, or a bit of Leicester trying to whip up an auction.

splendidrush 700 Posted June 4, 2019 If we get an extra 5-6 million, will the tabloids announce that we now have a 25-26 million budget?
spencer 1970 207 Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) aah, I see. That's why I don't have much to do with the company contracts. Edited June 4, 2019 by spencer 1970
hogesar 9,676 Posted June 4, 2019 All I do know is my 'shares' in JM on FootballIndex are way, way more than when I first bought them!
FenwayFrank 2,459 Posted June 4, 2019 Just out of interest hog how are you generally doing with Footballindex ? I’m thinking of signing up but it would be just for a bit of fun. Is there a minimum amount you have to put in ?

I think there's a minimum £10 deposit. Overall my portfolio of players has cost me approx £200 but is worth about £520 if I were to sell all the shares now. Worth noting that you also get dividends for 'trending' players on social media etc. It's certainly a much lower risk, but equally less reward, form of betting 🙂
cornish sam 954 Posted June 5, 2019 According to the Liverpool echo LFC have made an enquiry to Leicester about madders, let the bidding commence ... On the subject of the scousers, they've just released Daniel Sturridge and our favourite son/pundit Chris Sutton says that he should sign for someone like Aston villa! Not saying we should sign him (wages would preclude that) but you'd think he would think of us before villa...

Even Sutton knows Norwich aren’t going to be able to afford the wages Sturridge will command.

If Villa do sign him they would end up with a very expensive contract on a player who will get injured after 5 games... I feel for Sturridge as he was a great player, but his injuries have hampered him. How he can command such wages is actually beyond me. I don't know if many clubs will actually be after him because of that... Expensive... Injury prone.
