It seems an odd 'coincidence' that Trump started spouting off about this right after the ICC issued a warrant to arrest Putin for war crimes.

My hunch is that it's given him ideas and he's concocting 'alternative facts' to stir up the MAGA brigade.  I'll believe it when it happens.

Latest: Trump's own lawyers have described his comments as 'speculation' and say they know nothing about it.  In any case, he would only be arrested if he refused to cooperate.

However, if these allegations incite another riot he could be in very serious trouble.

If it is a felony charge, he will be arrested. A misdejeanour will be just a charge.

It is illegal to claim it through your company as a legal expense. In fact in the USA that's probably a 5 year sentence.

I'm not saying he's perfect by any means.

However, people often make him out to be war-mongering. I don;t think that is true. By confronting situations head-on rather than pussyfooting around, he has perhaps ironically achieved more in brokering peace agreements than trying to delicately manoeuvre an agreement.

Meanwhile, MAGA works in absolute meltdown over Trumps' self-announced indictment .... we don't yet know that he will be, or what the charges are, but if it it for the payment and subsequent mis-reporting of the $130,000 hush money, it's the same crime that Trump's own Department of Justice convicted his personal lawyer for.

And more this morning ... Rick Scott's company was convicted or defrauding the Federal Government of hundreds of millions of $. Of course, as a rich. white, well-connected male in America he personally got away with it and now he's a US Senator.

The idiot is once again stirring up his fanbase with the usual rhetoric. An they love it and will have new flags, banners na dthrow their money at his collection tray.

What he forgets is that 38% of the US Voting public are independent or swing voters.He grabbed a big portion of those in 2016 but lost a lot of them in 2020. Now he is completely alienating them. The independents aren't a bunch of Wyoming inbreds. They are just normal people who have no strict belief on who should be President or what Party he represents.

They are sick to death of his ego, his preening, his lying and his denial of the election. The GOP know he is toast at the next election even if he gets the nomination or is even allowed to stand.
