  1. Jackson is responsible for my best moment as a football fan.
  2. Ryan Bennett instead of Whittaker. Martin at right back. Olsson back instead of Garrido.
  3. We''re not getting Commons. The manager made that perfectly clear. Jerome for £2m apparently.
  4. Hooper still wants out, like I said earlier in the summer.
  5. Seems to be picking up pace a bit, this one.
  6. I think sitting on the fence is fine. Why would I suddenly think Neil was definitely going to do well for us? Why would I also think he was definitely going to do badly? I can''t say either way, so on the fence is my place, but I will also support my team as much as I ever have. Make no mistake, I was Neil to succeed. Why wouldn''t any of us want him to succeed? It would be perfect, but the difference between wanting someone to succeed and them actually succeeding to the point we want them to is massive.
  7. I think right now, being on the fence is a very fair place to be.
  8. Since we lost the first game, I''ve been so confused as to the attitudes of many fans who want Adams out now, already. Whilst I do not back any fan who is calling for Adams'' head (that''s just crazy at this stage) I am also not in the camp of those saying ''it was only the first game''. I''ve heard many people at work, the gym, in the city etc clinging onto the fact that we lost our first league game under Lambert in the Championship. Let''s not forget that Lambert was coming off the back of a league winning campaign the season before. We had momentum. This season, we are coming off the back of what was quite frankly, a slow and painful death. We all saw it coming but it didn''t make it any easier when it did. Caught amongst all this is an unproven first team manager by the name of Neil Adams. A man who we searched the whole of Europe to find. A man who has managed 6 competitive games as Norwich City manager, losing 5, drawing 1. I don''t look at this record as a reflection of Neil''s management. I look at it as a team who were already infected with a disease and nothing was going to stem its growth. However, what has frustrated me about Neil (I only speak for me, not anyone else) is his comments. His promises. ''We will attack, we will score goals, we will excite fans, we will do this, that, the other'' etc etc etc. He talks a great game, but I think he made life a lot harder for himself with those comments, a rod for his own back. He knew where Hughton went wrong, we all did, but I don''t think it was the right decision to jump on the back of that so quickly, if at all. Frankly, he should''ve just kept his mouth shut, done his talking on the 24 pitches we will grace in the league this season. He was never going to win over fans in Press Conferences or the clubs youtube videos. It was all going to be about the performances on the pitch. Nothing else. See, I think the disease I mentioned earlier hasn''t quite been cut out yet. We still feel like a club that''s suffering, a club that lacks leadership. What that disease is - I don''t know, but it''s something. Something is hanging over us and until it''s removed, I can''t see us progressing. I''m certainly not suggesting this disease is Neil Adams, although I did fear for him the moment he was appointed permanently. He is heavily associated with a very avoidable relegation, whether it was his fault or not and his presence is a constant reminder of what went wrong last season. I do not blame Neil for taking the job, but if I''m honest, I fear it''s beyond him. In my opinion, this is going to get worse before it gets better. I know that''s negative, I support this club as much as all of you, but something just doesn''t feel right. ''t may result in Neil losing his job, it may result in him proving thousands of people very wrong (I hope it''s the latter), but whatever happens, I do feel that Adams deserves as much time as we can afford to give him. I just think he may suffer as a result of the very generous amount of time given to our previous manager.
  9. I agree. Redmond was useless at Wolves, but who wasn''t?! His pace and (hopefully) improved delivery are vital to our season. He won''t be here for 5-10 years but if he has a decent season, gets us up, has another decent season, we could be selling him for £15-20m.
  10. I can''t see us selling Redmond. I''d be surprised, unless it was a stupid offer.
  11. I''d play Redmond instead of Surman and stick Lafferty up beside Grabban.
  12. I''d say we''re willing to push the boat out for the right players.
  13. Lennon was the best candidate out there. We didn''t even have to search Europe to know he was out there, we just had to look a bit further north. I hope Adams succeeds. Both for himself and the clubs rise back to the Premier League, but I expected more from Sunday. The defeat I can take (just), but what annoyed me was how much the performance reminded me of the away days under Chris Hughton. Also, we looked off the pace compared to Wolves players. I don''t know why managers come out and say ''we''ll do this, that, we''ll score goals, we''ll excite fans'' etc etc. Do your talking on the pitch. After Neil''s words, Sunday was just a massive let down - whether it''s the first game or not.
  14. Forget thoughts of play-offs or automatic promotion. At this stage, it would just be really nice if Neil could win a competitive game.
  15. Gunn was an ex player turned phone salesman. Adams is a bit more than that, but I have my concerns. Not convinced at all.
  16. I don''t really know what to expect. I want a win, obviously, but difficult to know what we''ll do. Watford have a very decent strike force.
  17. I wanted Lennon before Adams got the job, but forget that. You know who I''d love to see in charge - Frank Underwood. Anyone who watches House of Cards will know how great he''d be as NCFC manager.
  18. I haven''t read the 7 pages of this thread. Can''t really be bothered. We have to give Adams 15 games at the very least. If we''re struggling after that then get him out and search Europe once again for the next best manager - who will probably end up being Ricky Martin :-)
  19. Lost count of the amount of times I''ve heard this idiot drunk on air. The man is a disgrace and seems to have a problem with the booze himself. You''d hope Alan never finds himself in a position where he wants to end it all. I don''t claim to know the ins and outs of depression. I''ve never suffered with it. However, I (and many others) have my head screwed on enough to know that comments like Brazil''s are just wrong and so out of touch with the problem many face. When Gary Speed ended it all did Brazil lack sympathy then? Probably not because Speed was a footballer.
  20. Ruddy Martin R. Bennett Turner Garrido Howson/Tettey (if JH not fit) E.Bennett Redmond Hoolahan Grabban Lafferty
