  1. A great point away at the form team, 2 points dropped as we had the chances to win. Overall any fan would have taken that at 3pm, even more so at half time But... the gap has stayed at 8 points. We are not any further away from the play offs.
  2. Whisper it quietly... A winner here could be monumental for the rest of this season...
  3. We were due things not going our way at some stage. We were never going to win every game 1-0. Just need to get to half time and regroup, probably bring Srbeny on now.
  4. ‘Wanted to leave’ is far too ambiguous. It means little without context. Did Huddersfield put the bid in, we informed Pritchard, and he decided it was something he wanted to look at? Or did he just go marching into Webbers office and tell him he wanted to leave? 2 different scenarios, but in both cases it could be said he ‘wanted to leave’, but one makes Pritchard look a lot worse and worthy of criticism. In the first scenario, I’m sure we would all consider leaving our jobs for another if we were offered more money?
  5. Imagine if Cardiff miss out on promotion by a point. Score a perfectly good goal, just for the ref to decide there is no advantage as they score and instead gives them a free kick just outside the box. Truly bizarre refereeing!
  6. Can we just put this thread to bed until after the Wolves game? We have the 2 hardest away games on paper coming up, with our biggest rivals at home in the middle. If we can get at least 3 points from the 2 away games and beat ‘them’ we will still be hanging in there. Any less and I think we may find ourselves even further behind. It’s not worth looking at the playoffs just yet - let’s just get trough these next 10 days first!
  7. @ king The Boro game is the prefect example. When down to 10 men the keeper was clearly taking an age with every goal kick. It was the same process every time, making sure it was on the exact spot, at the exact angle etc, yet the ref was more than happy to just walk away. But what winds me up most is when refs either ignore it for large parts of the game, or start to point to their watch, only to eventually book the keeper in injury time (having walked half the length of the pitch to do it, then turn aground & walk half the length of the pitch back) Keep it simple. Warn the player once, then book him the next time. If he does it again, its a 2nd yellow.
  8. @MrFruit Is it even giving its members a voice? Or is it just giving a few of its own board a voice?
  9. Starting Srbeny is not going to make any difference. If Oliviera was missing chances then yeah I would agree, but its more of a case of so few chances bring created. On Saturday I can think of 2 - 1 was a good save & 1 he passed to Maddison when he could have hit it on his left foot. Forgetting about the lack of chances I thought he actually led the line quite well
  10. Slightly different, but what about goalkeepers holding onto the ball? It used to be 6 seconds or something similar? These days the goalkeeper catches the ball, dives onto the ground, takes his time getting up, waits for the rest of his team to get in position and then eventually plays the ball?
  11. It’s not expectations, its just hope based on nothing but bias. Take that away and what’s left? Should we just accept mid table? If so what’s the point even turning up for games?
  12. It’s worth adding that, as good as Leitner was, we were also playing 10 men that seemed be playing with a back 6 across their penalty area, leaving acres of space 25 yards out Will be interesting to see if the same passing levels are achieved against Derby or Ipswich
  13. ‘Fiiiive-one to Norwich City, at Portman Road’ Only watched on the beam back, but what a night to be a Norwich fan. As for games I have been to, it has to be Wembley or Portsmouth away. As for worst, I will exclude Colchester on the basis of how important it was in the overall season. That leaves 2 stand outs... Swansea away under Lambert. 2-0 down after 10minutes after an 8hour or so coach trip, leaving at 8 in the morning and not getting back until about 4 the next morning. Or Middlesbrough at home under Neil...early goal, game killed, Bamford injured every 30 seconds, a Ref with zero control over the game. One of the worst adverts for football I have ever seen
  14. Classy, made the game look effortless. Hope we have an option-to-buy deal
  15. The problem isn’t our form at the minute. It’s the form of team sbetween us and the playoffs. If we weee chasing one teams it would be a lot more realistic, but we have to our perform 7 other teams between now and the end of the season. No matter what we always seem to end up 8 points off the playoffs, we just cannot seem to drag ourselves closer. The next 3 games will be crucial to our season as we play the top 2 away and Ipswich at home, the 2 hardest games left on paper and a team desperate to finally beat us. If we can stay 8 points (or even better, less) we will have a much better chance.
  16. In the terms of this game it’s a huge goal. Boro have to come at us with 1 men, they were starting to bed in. In terms of the season we have to outperform 7 or 8 teams. A defeat against Boro would have put us 8 points behind them - a win and it’s down to just 2 points
  17. Yeah I have, but don’t see how that correlates to a ban from the football club. From Twitter yes, maybe report it to the police if you are that offended, but a ban from the club?
  18. But you are proving my point. Away at Bristol City they pressed high up the pitch, which created the space for the goal. The vast majority simply won’t press that high at Carrow Road, so we can knock it about all we like but the space still won’t open up
  19. Surely diverse views are needed for this to work, but I don’t see the Canaries Trust/Robin Sainty doing that. It seems if you dare say anything anti-club/Board you are seen as the enemy It already seems he is trying to report somebody that said something to him on Twitter to the club in order to get that person banned?
  20. @king, re point 2... I find it unbelievably frustrating when we prefer to play keep ball instead of trying a pass forward. I don’t care about losing the ball if we are trying something. If Maddison/Vrancic want to play a clever ball through to Murphy and it doesn’t come off it’s not the end of the world. But how many times have we decided against the pass and ended up going all the way back to Gunn?
  21. Been a season ticket holder since 99/00 sonwill base t since then... Best: probably the 2 Lambert years, League One was actually great fun at times, but obviously the Championship season wasn’t special as you could feel it building all the way through. Worst: has to be the Roeder relegation year. We were awful and didn’t even have our own team to play. Controversial I know, but based purely on the home form this season isn’t great watching either. Few chances, fewer goals, even fewer wins. Has made em question why I bother sometimes!
