  1. grefstad, I think you''re right. Bottom 3 was inevitable the way we were, and still are playing. Barely better than a Championship squad and a lot of the better players we have got don''t always start. Lots wrong and it''s frustrating not being able to do a thing about it.....
  2. Just read the thread for the first time. Hilarious, seriously. There was a time when serial posters had the upper hand.... perhaps only in their own heads, who knows. The tides a turning :)
  3. You were close Frisbee... Perhaps it will look even closer next w/e??
  4. Mister Chops... Hit a nerve?? :) I don''t think for a minute that they were tactics. But it worked, and every now and again, it would for a lot of teams. But then, you''re probably one of the experts.
  5. ..... Who insist that you have to win the midfield battle before you have a chance of scoring....turn on your tv and watch Evertons 3rd goal.
  6. Row D, I suppose it would be difficult for a CEO to tweet anything positive after a poor performance and anything other than positive will look like a criticism. He''s too professional to criticise the players or the manager publicly. I agree about Hooper, probably time to give him a start, and RvW a rest.
  7. Definitely a different attitude from CH. Well done to all the players. I think Hooper deserves a start in the prem though. And Master Murphy has pace aplenty. Worth a go surely at some stage in the near future.
  8. I''d love us to take Watford apart. With Hughton as manager. Then to win the next 3 prem games. The trouble is I think of all the prem teams we are least likely to get 3 wins on the bounce, and that''s not just because of who we''ve got to play.
  9. Fox passes the ball well, especially short, square passes. But ask him to win the ball from the opposition....
  10. I don''t think anyone is doubting Snodgrass as a player. He was good for us last season, but you have to keep a level of discipline. When any player starts to think that he is more important than the instructions he''s been given, it''s time for the management to be very strong...... That, however, asks another question....
  11. I agree with OP regarding the pen too. Of all the games to ##### up..... I don''t think it''s fair to mock him about other low points either. Colchester was a disaster but sometimes you need to be humiliated to give you the determination to make changes.....
  12. He seems to have lost the confidence of a lot of the players. Tactics are poor, team selection is poor and using the argument that the new players need time to bed in, is, I think, incorrect. Hooper came closest to scoring (what a shock- he''s averaged 30 odd goals for the last 3 seasons) Fer was many people''s MOM and nobody could fault Ricky''s running and endeavour. The new players looked good. They don''t need bedding in. Some of the more established players have had their toes trodden on and have thrown their toys. No leadership. Time to go before its too late
  13. Well done WOW. If I had drunk less and if I was better educated I''d have said the same.... Exactly. AV were there to be taken apart and we blew it. Just watched Chelsea v Fulham. God help us. Fulham were head and shoulders above Villa and us. Chelsea were eventually on a different planet to us
  14. If your seats are together (which presumably they are) you should be able to find a ''friend'' you can ''give'' them to. The better the position, the more likely you are to move them on for the games you can''t make. Good luck with the new job.
  15. Wolfswinkel, I agree with your earlier post. I did a bit but, Christ, when we''re up against that on the pitch it''s really hard. We need a hero
