Firstly Srbeny is good enough to play in any position - clearly. Few things to keep an eye on, Hull have just signed Josh Bowler on loan from Everton for the season, a young winger. I wonder whether Hull might be in a position to let Bowen leave now, if we are interested. Secondly the Trippier deal has now been agreed and has passed his medical. Are we expecting a big bid for Aarons now?

Be good to see what Hanley is capable of after a solid pre season. I suspect his passing may not be up to scratch for our preferred passing style of football. Wont judge until he's had a fair amount of games, but I think regardless we'll see another experienced leader at the back

I think the majority of Chelsea's youngsters will be given the opportunity to develop in their first team this season, due to Lampard now being manager and their transfer restrictions. Would be a good signing, but just cant see it happening. I still think we're looking for a high profile CB (considering our previous bidding on Vida) and wouldn't be surprised if we're looking at a quality CDM player as well. I wonder whether their was any truth in the Ontiveros rumor. Guess we'll see at some stage this week. Pleased with the Byram acquisition, shrewd business IMO from Webber. I dont think Harrison Reed has been included in Southamptons squad. Will be interesting to see whether he is going to be DM / RB cover for us. Wonder whether this is one of them we might be keeping an eye on.

People need to remember, this is a Champions League pedigree signing. I'm unsure of the loan fee agreed for Rhodes, but I imagine this is probably double that amount and is fair. He is someone who can vastly improve our current XI providing he staying injury free.

Not sure what people are moaning about. You have to pay for quality regardless. This was one of the main areas we needed strengthening. Now we have a top quality keeper, fighting for the no.1 jersey and real competition for Krul. Now onto next targets.
