You misread my posts, accuse me of not going to any games, called me a nazi, called me a muppet, accused me of being a hypocrite, which is actually quite funny coming from you.  You attack me because I dare to suggest that some people are enjoying the turmoil on here - what''s the matter did I get a little too near the truth?   I have a differing view to you - is that too hard to take? But in short...........just who in h*ll do you think you are??
Maybe he needs to look into his family history and record it

We are all harping on about this game and that game and the general feel around Carrow Road. Well, in my opinion, last night Chris Hughton disrespected Norwich City Football Club and the fans that went to the game. To come out in the media with the bare face cheek and suggest that we were going to try in the Cup game when clearly he had already decided he wanted us to go out. Put aside whether you wanted us in the cup or not,  as manager he made the decision that due to our poor league form he wanted us to go out the cup. He gave not a shred of thought to the thousands of city fans who paid their hard earned money to go to the game. He didn''t care that us as long suffering fans might want a cup run to cheer us up. No, he allowed the players to go out and give a half arsed performance. A performance that was so bad it was almost laughable. Then to come out after the game and suggest we should forget about the game and concentrate on Saturday. WTF? How about the money we as fans give to this club and you Mr Hughton don''t give a flying F***. You disrespect this club and allow that crap to go on. As manager you should hang your head in shame.
Do you honestly think he said to the team he wanted to be out of the Cup and they didn''t bother because of this? You really that blinded by hate that you think this? What about the players disrespecting the cup? what about the players disrespecting the traveling fans? They are the ones that showed no fight. Oh sorry Hughton told them not to try I take it?
Nope. I agree the Players were shocking as well. But he is the manager. At half time he could have said "This is fucking shit lads. It''s abysmal. You go out there and play like your careers depend on it". Then maybe we would have seen some difference. I''m not blinded by hate but I don''t like seeing our team become a laughing stock
How do you know he didn''t give them a rocket at half time? he probably did, did they just not care?
If they don''t care then that''s an even bigger problem

 4.
Sat down and had a look today, this is what I found: - 70 games in all competitions, excluding pre-season. - Won 30%, lost 41.43%, drawn 28.57% - Conceded 113 (average of 1.6 goals per game) - Scored 77 (average of 1.1 goals per game) - One win in ten. Shipping 16 while only scoring 7. - Hughton out.
Sorry to do this but it''s not 1 win in 10. That would be a win percentage of 10%. Unless i misunderstood what you are on about
 5.
Lambert was just as guilty of this. In fact a lot of prem managers do this. Yes it is disrespectful but the threat of relegation takes precedent over Cup runs sadly.
True, but to have the bare faced cheek to even suggest we were going to try. He should have just said something like "the cup is not our priority and we will just see what happens"

 7.
ITT posters who don''t understand betting. Keep your money in your pockets ladies and gentlemen. If OP means the "Specials - Next Manager To Leave Position" market then you should take note of the massive drift out to 1/3 from 1/5. [Why are you using fractional odds by the way? Decimal much cleaner and clearer especially on a modern exchange.] But if you were so inclined you could take note of the fact that a massive £3,695 has been matched on that market. Not Hughton but the market as a whole. Try the relegation market, also on the exchange, where Norwich sit 6th favourites. £954,348 matched on that market, perhaps a better indicator of where we are as a club. Tonight was a cup game. Against a club we always think we can beat but never do.I hate seeing us lose, I hate to see the BBC headline describe us as woeful, I hate the bickering and whining on here and I hate ignorance. All prices and market matched figures correct at time of posting
Dry ''em
 8.
I left after 80 mins. 4-5k Norwich fans singing you''re getting sacked in the morning and we want hughton out. Says it all really.
Were they singing this? I hope so. It''s about time someone said something
 9. What are the fans chanting? Is there any booing from our fans? Any "hughton out" chanting?
 10.
That Hughton was a disaster for our club. Give him time they said. Is it enough yet ?? I get no pleasure knowing from the start he was a wrong un. Why oh why does he stay in a job, please tell me its not because of a race issue, as i couldnt give a crap. Good enough is good enough, no matter race or colour, but iam starting to worry if this is what our board fears, and the backlash the press could direct towards the board. Because it seems that the press LOVE Hughton. And dare not say a bad word about him, and iam starting to worry why, it certainly aint because of his god lime geniuss manager skills !!!
Some of us knew from the first pre-season and when we got thumped 5-0 by Fulham in the first game of his tenure....

 16.

Could be time for some ironic Hughton chanting at the next home game. ''He''s so nice it''s unbelievable!'' ''We''re Norwich. 17. Hughton Out! Clearly his tactics aren''t working and the Jonas signing is responsible for the Arsenal second goal

Pathetic wouldn''t involve looking for a picture of a white flag

 20. Isn''t there a saying that goes "One mans rubbish is another mans treasure"?Lets'' hope that''s the case with Jonas rather than "one mans rubbish smells bad wherever it is"
 21.
Did he??   That''s the final straw then!   Were all the players on holiday too[:^)]
True. Holiday is acceptable. Wouldn''t put it as final straw though as it happened at the start. More the mashed potato on the shepherds pie. He could have got in the office and whipped the tea ladies into shape before the squad came back
 22.
When Hughton got the job, I thought at first that he probably doesnt know very much about the club or the playing squad he inherited. I felt he was unlikely to have paid much attention to the rise of the club through the divisions or seen much of our premier league season, as he had no previous connections to the club. I felt, like most pundits who talked b*ll*cks about us without having seen us play, he would instantly dismiss us. He allegedly watched those DVDs and then decided to completely change the football philosophy which our success had been built on. He decided to try and make the players we had play in a way which they had not been bought for and to which they were not well suited. I felt at the time that he walked into the club and instantly thought ''not good enough''. He got us playing with fear of the opposition and defending for our lives because that was his view of the job he had taken on. Norwich are football minnows he thought, we can only ever play with our backs to the wall. I thought this was an indictment of the mainly championship players he had inherited and that Lambert had got the best out of, but now I see, after having spent millions on his players, this is his indictment of the club. We will forever be little old Norwich in Chris hughtons ''tottenham are a real club'' mind and backs to the wall football is all he''ll ever think we''re capable of. God forbid he light a fire under his players, tell them how good they are and give them the confidence to do their thing. No, you play for Norwich, we should just be happy to be here. Go out there and try not to embarrass yourselves, you''re up against quality opposition at a big club you cant hope to compete with them. The football we have now is because of Hughton''s derision for the club. Time for someone who fought for this club? Time for Malky? Someone who understands the pride of pulling on a yellow shirt? Someone who can instill belief in the players that they are not inferior to the rest of the division? I am tired of us being Chris hughtons embarrassment
If i remember rightly, didn''t he take the job then F off on holiday for a few weeks before starting? Hardly getting to know the squad he inherited
 23.
Every game is important but the season is not defined by jus a single game. We win and could be in11th We draw and its not so bad We lose and Thers more pressure to win the next. We lose the next three then the manger is gone. But that will not happen.
Not quite true. Win and all the other results go our way and we could be 12th unless we make up a 12 goal swing (ie we win 6-0 and Villa lose 6-0) and maybe we go to 11th. But realistically 12th is as high as we go with a win. Heck, we beat Hull 7-0 and we could go 10th
 24.
Snake eyes, Excellent post. We may not agree on all matters NCFC but we both have green and yellow in our hearts. I see a club that is looking long term and has a plan that is long term. Hoots will prove to be a great long term a manager given the chance. Slowly building a squad that can play a tactical game to compete with anybody is where we are going. I agree it is not pretty but I can see where we are going. We are exactly where I expected, 3 points from tenth. My glass in half full you see.
Bro, it appears your glass is half full with a mix of neat alcohol and vicodin. Are we talking about the same team?
 25.
Apologies to Lappinitup. This message board resembles a place where people come to show they have given up.  Its like watching a load of Lemmings jumping off a cliff.    Thread after thread, post after post of people who say they can''t take it anymore, can''t take the setbacks, the problems, the lack of goals, the poor entertainment, the fact that the manager is honest with his appraisals, the style of the football, the formations, the tactics, Johnson''s passing, Snodgrass''s lack of pace, the fact Hoolahan doesn''t play more often, Fox not in the team, Redmond playing left instead of right, Snodgrass playing right instead of left, Bennett backing off instead closing down, Whittaker not being up to it, Martin not up to it, Bassong looking off form, Ruddy not the goalkeeper he was, Elmander not effective, Fer out of sorts, etc etc etc. You might even think all the above is true.  But take a look at it and you will see that taken as a whole all those things are an extreme view. It is not balanced in the slightest.  I could take each of those "complaints" above and put an equally opposite argument down.   I often do - to try and redress the balance so we get a more accurate reflection of what is really happening.   I''m not going to do it here, but I am just trying to demonstrate to the lemmings that they are looking too bleakly at the situation.   Step back from the edge and think.   If things were really that bad do you not think that the board would have acted?   They''re not going to now - and imo it would be wrong to, as well. The facts are that its a tight league and half of it is struggling to find its form - us included.   So why is it so terrible that we are struggling?   Surely that is the challenge?   To battle to a mid table position (still only three points away) - get players fit, follow the development of RVW and Hooper who show signs of real class, watch as the team develops in this pot boiler of a season.    Instead of which we get a diatribe of  down and out stuff about how everything is terrible.   There are some of us on here who try to redress the balance and put a realistic argument out there.  We''re not happy clappies.  We know that things need to improve - even that Hughton may need to move on at the end of the season if it is thought that there hasn''t been enough development over the last two seasons.  But the battle isn''t over.   Hughton hasn''t got his best team out there yet.   If you really love the club, you will put your differences and complaints to one side and focus your frustration into supporting the team over the next few weeks.   I think I prefer the attitude of  "we''re little Norwich we''re just not good enough"  to the "we''re big spending Norwich we deserve better" attitude.  But neither of those is really right.  The truth is - we''re in the most difficult league, the manager and players  are fighting to get things right for us - and we need to get more into the frame of mind that we''re all in this together.   We know the facts are that as well as three points from the bottom we''re only three points from mid table.  So regardless of your views on the manager, the battle is still full on and it can go either way.  I''m probably wasting my time with this thread and will get the usual comments, but I really don''t care.  What I do care about is seeing the team improve - as they have to do.   The fans giving up the fight will not help them. Think on.
I just lost 2 minutes of my life never to get back again.
