1. Bookies on Unthank Road, I thought the same as I drove past and saw it in the window.Manager''s a Leeds fan too, so if it happens picking up the winnings will be doubly sweet....
2. Norwich to win 1-0, Holt to score - 48/1Me likes!
3. Barclay Hero - I should have done my research really, my dad is a Lancastrian, born and bred in Manchester although his father was born across the border in Elland no less.Still, he had the good sense to migrate to Norfolk and the rest is history - Y''army!I suppose with my dad being born in Manchester I could have used it as an excuse for bring a plastic red. Not that plastic manc fans usually need such a genuine reason.
4. They must have spent all their money on pies, whippets and flat caps.
5. So tell me Duke, how come a "big team" like Leeds are spending what their 4th season is it now in the 3rd division? You''ll blow it again this season, like you always do.
6.
who the fuck calls their kid herb? you must be the youngest in your family huh?
Yeah, cos everyone uses their real name on internet forums don''t they?Pillock.
7. Any away point is a good result if you''re winning most of your home games.Of course I''d be happy with a point, it''s a marathon not a sprint and Leeds are just another team.
8.
To be honest id rather give 5million of my own money to Gunny than the dog loving keane.
I was thinking that earlier, could Gunny have done any worse had he been given a go? Hard to imagine, though I''m sure some will say he''d have given it a bloody good try ;)
9.

.... fuckin clueless arnt y''all.... hoolahan??? grayson has that tit in his top pocket - if h causes any problems he cant expect some studs in his knees...;) i do pity you all, because i know how you feel.... ''''i cant see us losin this match'''' kinda thing, butttttttt lets face it... we''re PRETTY much top of the league, will be on monday ... when we beat you, millwall on saturday and bristol next tuesday you can consider the league pretty much ours... :) SIMON GRAYSONS BARMY ARMY! ON ON ON! :D we''ve conceded 5 goals... you''ve conceded 18... top attack Vs. Top defence... but i would rather back the club who can score... but also has the good defence ;)
No need for anyone else to try explain why no one else likes Leeds. The Duke - he (or she) - has explained it quite perfectly.
Spot on. That post should come up when someone types "why does everyone hate Leeds?" into Google.Sums them up perfectly. Arrogant and deluded with an inflated sense of self importance. Stupid, mouthy northern scum. (Yorkshire too, the worst sort)
10.
to be honest i do think they are in a relegation battle and they wont have vast amounts of cash to spend in january.
Begs the question why Evans gave him millions to spend in the summer though.Time will tell what their shady owner''s motives are, but if he was a simple asset stripper why throw money down the drain indulging Keane''s latest mental breakdown?
11. Hate to say it, but it''s a little premature. It''s tempting fate to start rubbing their noses in it just yet. They could well drag themselves out of the mire, unlikely though it seems at the moment. If they get rid of Keane in the next month and make a shrewd appointment I''d bet on them staying up.I suppose it''s even possible that Keane could turn things around. That''s why I''m kinda undecided as to whether their board keeping faith with him is a good think. Surely even a w*nker like Keane could sort it out eventually, especially if he''s given more money to throw at it. If he manages to buy a whole squad of masochists that like being abused by a shouty Irishman it could start to work for him.
12.
Landed on his feet, pleased to be away.
F***ing right he landed on his feet.A man with a personality transplant as obvious as his getting a job in Subway would be suprising.W**ker.
13. Neil Adams touched on this with a Canary Caller after the Carlisle game. The difference between D3 and D2 (forget this L1 b*ll*cks!) in terms of finances is huge, even taking into account our gates.Of course, if we''re looking good for playoffs at least come January it puts us in a much stronger position both in terms of the player wanting to stay and taking a calculated gamble on the extra revenue promotion would bring. In short, nothing is set in stone and we could well end up keeping most if not all of our current squad. My worry would be a big offer coming in for one or more of the younger players who''ve just started to shine.
14. It''s important to me because it''s the only games I can realistically take my kids to this season - gutted at the away fixtures!
15. Now stop this right now.Hoolahan is rubbish, Smudger said so therefore it must be true. Those goals/assists/generally pulling the strings and being at the centre of a lot of our good attacking play are simply a figment of your collective imaginations.Well either that or Smudger is a weapons-grade c*ckhead....[^o)]
16. If that''s the case and he''s left us without cover without a bloody good excuse (and we''d have to be talking the sweetest peach of an excuse) then he should never get near the first team again.Banish to the reserves and get rid asap.Despite his part in the opening league game (and he was only a part of it) I was more than happy to give him another chance once he''d shown a bit of potential in the reserves. As Lambert rightly said on the radio, no one is bigger than the club.
17. It is gratifying to see all my predictions about Keane come true. In fact, he''s done better than I''d hoped. I expected Ipswich to rally under him initially, before the players sussed out what he was and turned sh*t.He seems to have cunningly avoided the "rally" bit by giving his players the whole close season to come to the realisation that of what sort of man they have as a boss.If he had the charisma, tactical nous and intelligence of Ferguson or Clough, he''d probably get away with his style of management, but he has none of that. He offers nothing and expects his players to give everything. An arrogant, jumped-up bully as both a player and manager. I''m absolutely delighted to see him failing so chronically, the fact it''s with Ipswich is just beautiful.
18. I''d like to see the US increase it''s domestic interest in football. It is *the* truly global game and given their population and wealth, the US really out to be a lot higher up the world rankings than they are. From what little I''ve read I think football is on the up over the pond, hopefully the day they start using the proper name for it is only a few centuries away... [;)]
19. If Cody is to go I hope it is only a loan and not a sale, because I think he''s a rough diamond who could well prove to be a decent player at this level and maybe higher.McVeigh I''m a little indifferent about to be frank. He''s not disgraced himself since returning, but he''s not exactly pulled up trees either. On the Lincoln City thing, it''s good to see another ex-canary stepping into management. Sutton was a great player for us and though I was critical of his some of his daft behaviour in his youth here, he''s grown up into what seems like a good bloke.(hey, we were all young once!) Talked a good game on Radio Naaar''fook before a game recently. Wish him lots of luck, nice it''s with Lincoln cos they''re one of a handful of clubs whose results I look for sometimes, simply because of the Huckerby connection. Building up an affiliation could prove mutually beneficial.
20.
If its an age thing then I''ve really got no hope Butler!  I don''t mind being called "old" but "gay"?  Suppose when I was a kid this just meant happy!
I wouldn''t worry too much Dronny. You see, Homosexuality is one of HC''s obsessions. It''s a reccurring theme with him, most of the people he crosses swords with verbally gets accused of it.His other obsession seems to be that US cartoons are better than us, ergo he wins.Odd.Very odd.
21. RuddSpillaneHoolahanMe, Martin(hey, if I''m allowed to pick the team, I''m picking myself....even if I can''t hit a cows arse with a banjo!)
22. http://www.brice-taton.com/lagression/index-en.htmlVery sad.
23. The teacher asked the class to use the word ''contagious'' in a sentence. ... Molly put up her hand and said, ''My little brother had chicken pox and the doctor told us that he was contagious.'' ... ''And you Sally?''. ... Sally said,''My family wanted to visit the petting farm but there was an outbreak of foot-and-mouth, so the farm was closed as it is contagious.'' ... The teacher said, ''very good Sally, anyone else?''... ''Anyone besides for Jonny?''... ''no one?'' ... ''OK, Jonny'' says the teacher, ''can you make a sentance using the word contagious?'' ... Johnny said, ''My next door neighbour is painting the outside of his house by hand'' ''Very interesting Jonny, but what has that got to do with the word contagious?'' asked the teacher. ''well my dad says that he''s only using a 2 inch brush so it''s gonna take the contagious''
24.
Why is Chris Martin not playing right midfield ans on a postcard please?
Perhaps because he''s not a right winger. That would be my guess.
25.
It''s that kind of attitude you have, turd, that is poison. Our "little Prem holiday"? Is that what it was to you?  Ridiculous!  Maybe you are happy with being in CCC and League 1, but that is not the NCFC I grew up with.  As for how many games I''ve been to over the past few seasons, it is 100% attendance for games played when I was in England.  What % of games have you attended while being in the area, you cheap nerd?
Don''t even attempt to question my support, you vile little man. I''m a season ticket holder and attend all the home league games and as many home cup games as possible. I also take my kids when I can since this season, bringing on the next generation of fans. Norwich City fans, born and bred. As for the Premiership holiday, well that''s exactly what it turned out to be wasn''t it? We could debate the reasons for that till the cows come home, but the fact remains that statistically, a holiday is all it was ever likely to be. Problem is, we picked up a good 2 or 3 thousand attendees (I won''t call them fans, because that isn''t what the word fan means) who think it''s OK to boo their own players before they''ve kicked a ball. They''ve got no right to be there morally in my opinion. This old "they''ve paid their money they can do what they like" argument is utter b*ll*cks. You don''t go to the opera and start shouting at the performers "what a waste of money, you''re sh*t at this" "The Norwich City you grew up with"? I don''t know what''s funnier, the fact you think you grew up with them on a different continent, or the fact you think you''ve grown up at all.
Keyboard warriors like you help give soccer the bad name it has in North America.
I''m afraid you may have mistaken me for someone who gives a toss what North America thinks about "soccer"When you can''t even call it the proper name your opinions on it are of little importance to me.
