1. I have to agree with the OP. Some good debates on threads often get lost amongst bickering and petty points scoring and is a factor on why I rarely post on this forum. It''s far too simple to polarise posters as ''Inners'' or ''Outers'' like a tabloid newspaper would do. As with any situation there are shades of grey and the one thing we all have in common is that we are all supporters and want what is best for our great club. By all means disagree with my opinion, but please do so respectfully.
2. My level of happiness with all things NCFC has been inconsistent like our performances on the pitch. Happy after the wins at Stoke and WBA and at home to Spurs and Southampton amongst others and draws v Everton and Citeh. I''ve also been happy with the performances in defeat against Chelski and Man U. Very unhappy after too many away no shows. Fortunately any unhappiness only lasts a day before anticipation at the next game takes over. Expecting more of the same to the end of the season with hopefully enough ''happy'' days to keep us up.
3. After getting back into the game Villa attacked us with pace and strength whereas every time we got the ball in good positions we slowed the game down. Redmond frustrated the hell out of me today. Never once took their defenders on and he failed to track the left back for the 3rd and killer goal. Ultimately our team seem unable to handle a mid game setback. We were in control until they scored and capitulated after Benteke''s wonder strike. Hughton has to take some of the responsibility, but the players let him down badly today
4. Great read as always, Ricardo. It was Bassong''s error that led to Adebayor''s run through on goal.Hard to single anyone out in a performance like that, but I thought Bradley Johnson was excellent throughout and I only wish his freekick had been an inch lower. It would probably have ripped the net off the goalposts. And what a great loan signing Joseph Yobo was in the transfer window.OTBC!
5. Try not to sound so smug when you post please Wiz. A lot of fans are hurting today and this achieves nothing other than to wind people up.
6. I''m sure I read somewhere that beating West Ham could relegate us, so I''ll take a draw thank you very much.
7.
After a good look and study of our remaining fixtures I''m predicting we will win NO MORE GAMES this season! Unless that is Hughton is removed by our gutless board of directors.   Have a good look yourselves and then you tell me where the wins are coming from because I can''t see any.   Sat Feb 8 Manchester City H Tue Feb 11 West Ham (7.45pm) A Sun Feb 23 Tottenham Hotspur (4pm) H Sun Mar 2 Aston Villa (4.30pm) A Sat Mar 8 Stoke City H Sat Mar 15 Southampton A Sat Mar 22 Sunderland H Sat Mar 29 Swansea City A Sat Apr 5 West Brom H Sat Apr 12 Fulham A Sat Apr 19 Liverpool H Sat Apr 26 Manchester United A Sat May 3 Chelsea A Sun May 11 Arsenal H
Those long winter evenings must just fly by in your house
8. Anyone watching on Sky?The atmosphere at Carrow Road has been subdued on occasions this season, but it sounds completely flat at the Hawthorns.0-0 after 40 minutes and West Brom are not playing with the passion you often get when a new manager takes over.
9. Quite an interesting watch if you have 10 minutes to spare:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1iBbLYrBqk
10. Personally, I blame Doris the tea lady. She must be putting something in the players tea. Doris out!!!
11.
Its time to get vocal. I agree.  In support of your team.  They are fighting in a tough league.  Focus your anger and frustration into getting behind the team, not wasting it on something pointless that isn''t going to happen.
12.
Managers usually get sacked as a result of fan pressure.
No they usually get sacked because of poor results. If you believe our results mean our manager deserves the sack then fair enough I''m not going to disagree with you.
13.
And when it happens the fervent pro-Hughton''ers are going to have to shoulder some of the blame. Time to wake up sheeple, this man will get us relegated.
I''m not here to defend Chris Hughton, but it is a bit below the belt to blame other fans who do not agree with your opinion for our current league position.Ultimately we are all supporters of the same team and want them to do the best they can, whoever is in charge.Only our board can change who manages the team and I don''t for one minute think they take any notice of opinions expressed on messageboards.
14. Tan will probably give the job to another of his son''s work experience mates.
15. I remember Teddy Sheringham scoring at absolute belter against us in his Millwall days.It was no more than a consolation as we were already 6-0 up!
16.
I literally cannot believe the things I read from actualy supposed #ncfc fans in various places around the internet. So many snide comments about Ricky, mainly about how he can''t be injured, he should man up it''s only a toe injury, and most bizarrely that *he* is so unhappy that he wants to buy out his own contract, and even more bizarrely, that NCFC are so unhappy with him that WE want to buy out HIS contract! People really are incredible morons. Why turn on a player like this? If any of them would pause to have a look at Ricky''s twitter account, they''d see how the man feels about the club. Take note, a player who is unhappy at a club is not forced into tweeting about them or putting pictures of themselves in club merch. I just hope he hasn''t read any of that cr*p.
One of the downsides of social media is that it gives idiots a platform to post stuff about someone that they wouldn''t dare say their face. If they were ever confronted these same idiots would probably pooh their pants.Ricky seems like a really nice guy and genuinely pleased to be at Norwich. I for one hope he goes on to score shed loads of goals for us.
17.
I''m not one rumour spreading
So posting a rumour on a message board does not count as rumour spreading?........... Err OK then ;-)
18.
I agree, Keckers, a planned change would be best all round to keep the stability. As you say CH''s masn-management appears to us on the outside to be poor. The progress I see is on the financial front that should make us more competitive in the transfer market. We are also attracting a higher calibre of player than we used to (Fer and Van Wolfswinkel) and keeping them from top 4 poachers (Ruddy). If we can get some results and stabilise in mid-table, those two facts could set us up for the next step up.A manager with tactical know-how and a good coaching staff is the missing link for that step up.
The time for a change in my opinion is end of this season, other than a possible addition to the coaching staff. I can only see a management change happening before the end of the season if we slip back into the relegation places and / or we have to endure any away no shows against teams we are more than capable of competing with.
19.
Like the OP I read the forum most days and have been supporting NCFC since being brought to this fine city by a Norwich girl many years ago. Even when we moved away to London, Bristol, and Ireland I still watched the team when I could. My son was the only one in his school with a NCFC kit in all those places and is now a Lower Barclay season ticket holder.I think the OP and I have similar thoughts - we are a lower to mid-table side at the moment. Our aim at the start of each season is, first and foremost, to stay in the division (which I imagine is the same for the rest of the bottom 7 or 8 clubs). If it goes well through the first few weeks confidence - and perhaps unrealistic ambitions - rise in both players and fans. If it starts to go wrong it all feels so much worse and often reasoned thinking goes out of the window and everything gets catastrophised.I would love us to play exciting, attacking football every week. I would love us to give the top 6 a game every time rather than only on occasions and more often than not be on the receiving end. I would love every player to be uninjured and on top form every game. I would love it if they didn''t make mistakes. But that''s not football. I, like many others, am not enjoying the football we are playing some of the time at the moment, but it''s not all bad. There are statistics to show how good we are and/or how poor we are on most threads on here - make them say what you want. We have come ''back from the dead'', ''division 3'', ''league one'' and are building again - and yes, I think 3rd year is still building. Firm foundations of a financially stable club, not feast and famine like some who have tried to run before they can walk. I for one support NCFC, I love supporting NCFC, I am proud to support NCFC, I have in the past and will in the future travel to the likes of Walsall and Bristol or Manchester and Newcastle to watch them whichever division we play in. For the record - and given current stats - I think we will be at the top table next season. It might not be pretty but as the OP says it takes time.
Top post
20.
OP you make me want to vomit, silent majority... prat
So the OP posted something you don''t agree with. Fair enough, but instead of name calling why not state what you disagree with and why?
21. Good post OP. The only thing I disagree with is your last sentence about us being relegation fodder. We are better than that no matter who is in charge and I''m sticking to my pre-season forecast of 14th (making us a bottom 7 team, for this season anyway).
