1. If Snoddy is not 100% fit I don''t see how we can risk him with Bennett out for so long?   That leaves just Ollsson, Redmond and Hoolahan as possible wingers with 2 of them heavily left sided.   I would go and get Scott Sinclair immediately, if possible! Although I know it is not as simple as that!   Would not be surprised to see Josh on the bech for Saturday!   Snake
2. Pilks is injury prone for me, as much as I like him, we can''t rely on him.   Losing Bennett means we have lost a quick winger who can cover right back.   Ollsson is more of a left back for me and is better than Garrido.  IMO this has left us short and we need an addition, especially as this is for a few months not weeks!   Knee injuries are notoriously difficult to fully recover from.  This sound like Medial or Curuciate ligament damage or Cartilage!   Snake
3. If this is the case, do you feel we need to find an urgent replacement?   A cheeky bid for Scott Sinclair maybe?   Unless we go for using Josh Murphy as cover?   Thoughts?   Snake
4. I would be honoured to Nutty!   I will send you a tenner as soon as I can!   Please remind me closer to the time, but I will put a reminder in my diary!   Snake [:D]
5. Once upon a time they never wore shin pads!   It was considered weak!   And yet they seemed to continue playing all season and the challenges were far more aggricultural than today.   Snake
6. Sorry Nutty!   In that case I will stay in froggy land and go for Lyon against Reims Home win!   Cheers! [B]   Snake
7. If you can get the picks done by tea time Friday Jellytot, my selection would be:   Monaco to win against Toulouse on Friday night!   Good luck!   Snake
8. Agreed,   why bring someone elses reject in or using another clubs talent on loan to develop.   Use what we already have! This is how we will become a regular Prem Side with depth and good finances.  Youth development mixed with talent and experience.   Snake
9. This 4th striker position is ideal for blooding one of your own young talents.   In our case Jamar Loza?   He won''t always be on the bench and playing regularly for the reserves.   You won''t get anyone decent to just make up the numbers and act as cover, so why waste good money on average players when young talent is there, ready, willing and a lot cheaper!   Everybody wins and you might just uncover a real gem!   Snake
10. Palace were not harshly done by! It was not a foul before the Penalty it was shoulder to shoulder and it was a clear penalty. Haven''t seen last night''s incident but one iffy decision and all the refs are favouring the big teams again? l reserve judgement for a few weeks yet! Snake
11. We have nothing to fear from this lot.   They may have some heart from Sunday, but in reality Chelsea should have been 4 or 5 up at half time and cruised the second half.   They are heavily relying on their new Spurs duo, but they are not going to give them that much oomph!    If we remain disciplined and try and control the game I can see a comfortable win for us.  This is not underestimating them as even watching them in the Championship last season they really are not much threat going forwards and their defence is not much either bar Curtis Davies.   Therefore I would be suprised and very disappointed if we don''t win 2-0 or 3-0. [:D]   Snake
12. I think l know the answers to this? Snake
13.
Talking about RVPNeville: "He''s like a burglar in your house" Carragher: "You''d be hiding in the bed" Neville: "You''d be the burglar!"Loving Monday Night Football analysis
loved this Reading! I''m going to enjoy listening to these guys! Good analysis and banter! Snake
14. I don''t like surrendering so much possession and territory, You invite so much pressure on yourself and we are not that good defensively to be able to absorb it all the time. That does not mean l want our guys running around like idiots and your ''up and '' at''em'' suggestion, but pressing the ball means less pressure on your own defense, greater chance of gaining possession, possession in more dangerous areas and more aattacking threat. Defending begins at the front!
15. Ref has got the big decisions absolutely spot on! Snake
16. Nutty, to be fair the OP''s statements are not unreasonable. l felt that when we pressed we caused them problems and it eventually led to our first goal. However we then backed off as last year and let them back in it. They never really looked like scoring until they equalised. You have to press against teams who like to keep possession! Snake
17. In truth the Everton goals were conceded because we backed off and Barkley should have been closed down. So both goals were defendable! However a good point with plenty of positives and with a full strength side we will be a force to be reckoned with! Snake!
18. When on form Wes is great and l would have him in the team every time, but after today and the watching the last friendly Howson is on better form, Fer has to come in and we must have a holding midfielder so Bradley or Tettey must play. Wes will find his form and we will be stronger for it! We sre a team and we will need all of our players to make it our most memorable yet! Snake
19. l hate to say it but on today''s performance Wes would have to make way! However l do see a lot more rotation in the midfield this year! This will help us greatly! Snake
20. Statistically 89.6% of all statistics are made up! [:O]   9th-12th place finish   Hooper top scorer for us   Redmond POTS!   Negredo top league scorer   Pardew first for the chop   Hull, CP and Stoke to go down.   Snake
21. Thanks for that reality check Laps!   Feet now firmly back on Terra Ferma!   Snake [Y]
22. Nice to see i''m not the only optimist here Portland!   [:D]
