  1. They let me down in week one, but they are a better side now.   Liverpool win at home to Reading for me, even if they have only one striker.   Snake
  2. Italy to beat Armenia please Nutty!   Good luck Mr Bump!   Snake
  3. Need to get back to winning ways, so Barca to win away please!   Snake
  4. Head held in shame!   Sorry Herman and the Pups!  Really thought Vitesse was a shoe in!  If any consolation it cost me a nice return as well!   Oh well, here''s to a better pick this week.   Snake
  5. Back to Holland this week.   I''m expecting a home win for Vitesse Arnham to continue my good run!   Best of luck for the Three In A Row!    Snake
  6. It''s France for me and a win for Lyon against AC Ajaccio on Sunday.   Happy days!   Snake
  7. Belgium to be Wales for me this week. Hoping to keep the recovery going from my awful week1 prediction, but 2 in 2 since and looking to make it 3 in a row!   Good luck Scooby!   Snake
  8. Bundesliga for me this week. Werder Bremen to win against Hamburg.   They lost a tight one to a very good Dortmund last week away from home, so I expect I solid home victory here!   Snake
  9. I agree Ricardo!   Amazing how two people can see a game so differently!  Garrido was exceptional today, a real show of quality fullback play.  As I have said on another post, his reading of the game was excellent, didn''t put a foot wrong IMO. Wonderful delivery and his ability to rescue the team from a tricky position showed good pace, and great awareness of the danger and how to cut it out.  Possibly the best debut I have ever seen at CR?   Snoddy had some great moments today, but lacked the finishing touch/pass. I also think he picked up a knock in the second half and as a result became rather anonymous for a while.  I thought we might sub him for the last 10/15 mins, but still a promising performance and hopefully more to come with better quality at the critical moment.   Snake
  10. Well I had to switch over to 5 Live after listening to that idiot!   Just because we were able to find some gems in the lower leagues, there aren''t that many! Also you can''t keep trying to improve with players that are yet to prove their ability at the highest level.  A mixture is needed to succeed.   Garrido and  Bassong were excellent today! Garrido was my man of the match, great positional play, excellent reading of the game, and has a terrific delivery into the box.  All in all a class player! If we can incorporate more players like this into the club then we will be well on the way to having a really strong team and squad!   Just need to be more clinical up front! Great performance and great effort.  We deserved much more from today!   Snake
  11. Well yes I am very late on this one.  Probably a good thing after my last effort (head held in shame and embarassment!) I too would go for an Ajax win. Good luck Jellytot, the picks look good to me! Snake
  12. New to this, followed it last year and what better than to start my adventure with fellow PUPs here and now. I am going for an outsider here and an Away Win for Liverpool against West Brom. Good luck all!! Snake
  13. My thoughts are that, if there was such a clause that stated the manager must be allowed to talk to a Premier League Club, if they offically approached, this was written in early in PL''s contract and with the intention of being, whilst the club were in the ''Lower Divisions''.  It is probably the spirit of this clause that is being argued here. It would be of no use to the club to have agreed a clause like this, that effectively gave the easy exit of a major asset, to a direct rival. This, however, may have been lost in the speed of transition the club made from League 1 to the Premiership. Although contracts are usually judged by the written word, there are precedents for the upholding of the spirit in which an agreement is made. From what I have seen so far of tribunals involved in sporting employment and disagreements, the Spirit of the sport and any agreements are strongly considered. I await the outcome of this with great interest! Snake
  14. German could have been Ottmar Hitzfeld, as I mentioned in a post a few days ago?   Snake
  15. Fellow Redskin here! Taylor was a Beast and sadly missed! Loved the RGIII pick and well up for this season! HTTR!   and   OTBC! Snake
  16. We are really not that desperate! Plenty of names ahead of moaning Mick!   Snake
  17. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No way! Never!   Proven track record of cr*p football, relegation battles, thuggish players and moaning interviews.   We can do so much better than that!   Snake
  18. Was stated by someone in Switzerland, but you may be right Jas. 60 - 63, too old just like Holty? Surely we are looking for the best man for the job, and as McNally wants top level experience, there are not many ''young'' managers that do. herefore this guy has got a good few years left, International Experience, Champions League winner. Not a bad bet IMO!   Snake
  19. May be nothing in it but, I was informed that Delia and MWJ were seen in Switzerland this weekend and at the Swiss FA. Ottmar Hitzfeld anyone? Managed Lambo at B.Dortmund, so why settle for the student when the Maestro may be available? Although I would expect McNally to be doing most of the work, it would not be beyond the wit of man to expect other board members to be sounding out other possibilities. This would be an amazing coup if achieved! Snake
  20. How useful could it be when only (approx) 9M has been used of the 40M available? Also who is available for 2 million that is that much better than Holt and can give the same energy, enthusiasm and drive? Selling him now would be IMO totally illogical and would rip the heart out of the club before a ball is even kicked.
