  1. Hi all, breaking my PUPs cherry here! I''ll go for Dunfermline to beat Brechin (home win) For the NCFC bet its got to be Grabban to get the first goal of the game. All the best and here''s to a great season!!!
  2. COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODY!!! Tbh I thought Pacheco was a decent enough prospect, just didnt kick-on and develop.
  3. Nope, been in Scotland for 20 odd years and never considered it. I do get along to some games just out of general interest, Yesterday i was at Stirling Albion vs. Hibernian...Hibs currently have Owain Tudur-Jones (not improved) and Michael Nelson (was an unsued sub) playing for them.
  4. Agreed, some people really should get out more (from mummy''s basement). I''ll be plastic and proud from a long distance.   On a related point...has plastic actually been discovered down Ipswich way yet or are they still using animal skins and wicker baskets in their caves in place of the modern discovery we all enjoy?!?!? (insert own punchline re: Suffolk plastics being baskets)
  5. Can we get definitive qualifying criteria for what actually constitutes membership of the Plastic Club...I fear I may qualify and have really been losing sleep over it recently!!! Am I deluding myself with my lack of authenticity, how can I ever prove my Norwichness unless there is a simple test which I can take which I know will satisfy the true, real, die-hard fan. I think we should be told
  6. Mine''s an apple...being Mr Apples (yes I really am that literal/simple/lazy - delete as appropriate).
  7. Lennon is an interesting character. While people tend to focus on the fact he manages in Scotland, his Champion''s League results must not be overlooked. Since Rangers have gone down the tubes some of the edge has gone away from Celtic due to the easy nature of the league, but overall he''s an intellugent and decent manager who likes attacking football (although does get very, very angry on occasion). I reckon he''d be worth a punt and if he brought Commons with him could link up well with Hooper. Being a NCFC exile, if you think things are bad down there I was punished by watching Stirling Albion vs. Albion Rovers at the w/e...the crowd was a mighty 541!!!
  8. Hit the nail on the head there Jim, excellent post!  (I would have used "quality" to describe it but can no longer even face that word) All this bleating about being unlucky, etc...you make your own luck, except in Hughton''s case where luck is far too risky a concept (We wouldnt want to try anything imaginative now would we...might lose a valuable away point and clean sheet...oh wait we still didnt get a clean sheet and lost three points to a garbage team, playing garbage football). Hughton is an total clown...
  9. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, saucer of milk sir? Well he was good enough to win them a cup and they''re still in Europe! Re: unlocking the potential of the squad, I was talking tactically...you know, playing players in the right positions, correct formations tailored for the opposition, playing to the players strengths, timely substitutions, squad rotation...
  10. Well he could hardly be any worse and may be able to get the full potential out of the squad. However its never going to happen, we''ll probably bring in Joe Kinnear as Director of Football now he''s free instead...
  11. Clowns, especially those pretending to be the current management team...
