1. I take it you think SL won''t go for it then? Lol
2. Why not get RVW on loan until the end of the season with a view to buying. From there we can see if he is any good without spending £10m up front. Everyone''s a winner!
3. We''ll beat Fulham as we owe them one from earlier in the season, the fact that they are on a run as poor as ours and finally, they are extremely poor away from home. I think we will get a point from the other games to keep us ticking over.
4. This is the man who couldn''t score in he PL. If you''re going down that route then you might as well stick with Jackson.
5.
Played really well considering all he''s had to put up with from Kirsty....
Very funny!
6.
I doubt it. I''d expect rumours will go along the lines of... The Canaries, knocked out the FA Cup by non league Luton, are said to have bid 10p for Hoopers services...
That sounds like a blast from the Chase era
7. Zola has said on Sky Sports that he is unsure if he can hang onto Vydra this transfer window. This does not come across as a done Udinesse/Watford deal. If there is uncertainty then get ourselves in there. He''s class and better and probably cheaper than Hooper. Over to you Hughton.
8.
It will be Bunn i think and swap Howsen for Johnson Or we may have a new face or 2 in by then. Fingers crossed.
I agree 100%.
9. Liverpool, Tottenham, QPR and Villa made fools of themselves as well so maybe this will take the heat off us in the press over the next few days?
10. Norwich players have been mainly young and hungry for success. With our success over the last couple of years have our players lost their hunger now they are on PL wages? What do you think?
11. At least it gives us options and makes us more effective away from home.
12.
Today we relied on a team, most of whom have not played a competitive game for best part of a month. If we are going to make wholesale changes for cup matches, surely match fitness must figure in selection decisions. How can we play people who have not had real competitive games recently. I appreciate the new U21 development league is there to bring on our ex-academy scholars. However there are no chances for squad players to keep match fitness. In past seasons there have been friendly reserve matches played behind closed doors. Why none this season? Without squad players being match fit we might as well play the development team, would have been better than that embarassing shower today.
It''s up to the management to organise extra matches against Arsenal and Tottenham etc. reserves.
13.
According to the Mirror( yes I know it''s only a newspaper) our bid of £8 million pound has been rejected! They want £12 million!!!
As soon as this bid becomes public we invariably will not get the player.
14. There is no excuse for any team not to close down quickly. If win the ball early higher up the pitch to give the defence a break and give the Holt''s of this world half a chance of an opportunity to score. Also, there is no reason why we cannot pass the ball quicker. When Arsenal ping the ball about quickly they invariably win, but like Norwich now in recent years Arsenal have used the slower methodical pace which is very hit and miss if you play a team who are closing down and pinging the ball bout quickly. So close own quicker and pass the ball quicker and we will overcome this poor patch.
15. Norwich seem to play too slowly and very methodical which could be seen as predictable. Without pace in key areas in the team we are always going to be low scoring and patchy performances if the passing is not up to it. Pace on the wings, the striker needs to be quicker than what we have. We need a midfield who can pass the ball accurately and quickly. Over to you Hughton.
16. There was evidence that our squad needs a clear out today''s the day.  I''m hoping this is the kick up the backside they need and we can kick on but I feel at the end of the season there will be a big turnover of our fringe players.Surman FoxBarnettC MartinSmithR BennettWardJacksonMorison For all his efforts, Russell Martin is not good enough. We need to play a formation that suits Howson or Howson needs to learn how to play our formation or he needs to go.Johnson is not good enough to be first teamer so I see him as a squad player for next season.I have said this before so don''t give me a pasting for an "over reaction".Pass the chequebook please Delia.  McNasty, we need you at your clinical best over the next 9 months!
17.
out of 2 cups in 4 days to lower league opposition. Presumably more sleepless nights and death threats from Villa fans to follow?? karma''s a bitch ain''t it?!?
Lets not as we are one down against Luton.
18.
He''s not available. He''s on loan at Watford, from the Italian club Watford owners also own, they aren''t just going to let him sign for us.
Why not?  Udinesse will just go out and buy someone else and loan them to Watford.
19. Vydra has now scored 9 in 6 games and also set a goal up today.  He has got to be a better shout than Hooper as he will be cheaper to buy and on wages, he''s foreign so he should be technically better player and has probably got a better resale value due to his age.Definately worth a punt.
20. F
Curtis Davies would be a great signing, the back up for Bassong isn''t good enough.
Correct.
21.
Saw him play in Europa League last year and he look good. Has a great record at Lisbon but cost £6M!!! Will be 24 shortly and has a scoring record of 1 in 2.
€5.4 m according to Wikipedia which is about £4.5m so not that expensive. He''s 6ft 1 inches tall. I''d rather give him a go than Hooper TBH.
22. According to the Sky Sports Website Vydra is now attracting interest from the PL. I think he will be a better bet than Hooper and will be cheaper in fees and wages plus there will be a broader market to resell at a later date with him being foreign. Definitely worth a go especially as he is 20 years old and will only get better.
23.
Never nice to see a man loose his employment but this would give me great satisfaction . I''m not sure if I''d rather he gets sacked now or after taking villa down, the latter I think.
I would like him to stay so he can really leave Villa in a mess which will probably mean one of the 3 relegation places taken care of!
