  1. Yep, I''ve been having my ups and downs this season regarding my opinions on people and the situation at the club, but overall I agree with all you''ve said I think. The negativity thing with CH for me is more about his unwillingness to take an earlier gamble with tactics and substitutions to try to turn 1 point into three. It may have paid off, if he''d been braver in games such as Newcastle, West Ham (home) and both QPR games, I mean even if it resulted in one win and a loss out of those four games we''d have been better off. But, generally, I think we can''t gripe too much, we''re in a reasonable position which when you look at our resources is not a bad achievement. Lets just hope the next 10 game unbeaten run starts at the same point in the second half of the season as it did in the first eh?
  2. http://www.football365.com/norwich-city/8435145/- He''s one of us, probably more so than the vast majority of players that have pulled a City shirt on over the years. I know if it was me, in his position right now I''d still consider a rousing recpetion at my boyhood team''s ground the gihlight of my career.
  3. never mind how we would play them. Bottom line is, we need a bit of depth in quality up front, we are seriously lacking in that department. Besides, why do we assume that 4-5-1 is Hughton''s favourite formation? It might just be that he doesnt feel he has the resources to successfully play otherwise?
  4. I''ve never heard of the word quisling! What actually does it mean?
  5. far from a retraction, you still havent bothered or can''t read properly. I think you, my friend are a bit of a plonker haha!Anyway, argument over, after a bit of investigation I now realise exactly who you are which explains why you''re only interested in insults and arguments. I remember having the misfortune of having a "converstation" with you before a game with blackpool a few years ago, and lets just say, I can''t bothered to bicker with simpletons. Sorry, but go find someone else to annoy.dear oh dear, i feel silly for entertaining you for so long now and feeding your childishness.
  6. You are rather extreme and very matter of fact. I have not once stated an intent to slate "everyone at the club". Far from it, in fact if that is what you think, and if you decide thats a disgrace then woe betide the people that know you if something really bad is said or donePlease explain, why is having two ex managers (failed or not) "only a good thing". Not saying its not a good thing, but Im pretty certain its not as cut and dried as you suggest. Would you also please give me some of the reasons that you believe these three are the best team for the job and the positive attributes they offer. I am interested and would like to hear the positive argument for these guys. Also, I agree, maybe the way I''m feeling IS because I''m feeling down about the whole situation, if you bothered to read my point properly you would see that I am actually implying this, and looking for positives and asking for people to show me the positives. I want to have faith in our management. The point I''m raising is, that I don''t have faith right now. Thats not to say I''m slating all connected to the club, I am merely pointing out my reservations.I actually believe, you don''t care either way, I think you are just spoiling for an argument, which in itself is rather disgraceful if I may say so.Anyway, will you listen to me once more? I am not slating all that are connected to the club I love, I hope sincerely Mr Hughton and co. achieve what we need this season, however I do feel worried by our current management staff. Is that ok?
  7. For the record Peas, the Holt V Calderwood thing isn''t speculation. Grant has said it himself. Just saying, since youre an angry man, tin hat on.See this link for evidence: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/27/grant-holt-norwich-city-captain
  8. Yep, Russell Martin is a centre half in my book. He reads the game superbly and mops up balls through the middle that otherwise seem to always end up in the back of our net.I genuinely believe a back four of: E. Bennett,  Martin, Bassong, Garrido is our current strongest option. Bennett would fit into the rightback position perfectly in my opinion. I think Ryan Bennett is my third choice centre back, followed a long way behind by Barnett and Turner.
  9. "Bye, Moron".There are too many instant responses like that on here. Its these kind of replies that ruin message boards. Why can''t we just talk about the posts rather than issue smart a**e retorts.Anyway, for what its worth OP, I kind of get you, but I don''t think you''re losing interest, you''re just hurting bad and by turning your back a little, i.e. by going for a walk or by going shopping you''re just engaging in some "damage limitation" for yourself for a wee while. I am not at all confident the current management regime can pull this around, but at some point things will change for the better so we just have to hang in there i guess.
  10. You''re a self-righteous little so and so aren''t you? I hear what you''re saying, but equally, in my "OP", I ask for somebody to help find some positives, i.e. I WANT THERE TO BE POSITIVES. Read properly and think about what people are saying before jumping blindly into your accusations and insults please. Surely we''re here for a debate, are we not? We don''t have to agree - where would that get us? but we can be constructive in our arguments and civil at the very least. To me, to respond to an "OP" with a one liner followed by an accusation of being a disgrace, is rather churlish and child like. Please read the post again, and then look up the definition of disgrace and I think you''ll find there is nothing disgraceful about the opinion, as a city fan, I chose to share with other like minded souls.
  11. ok, I''ll bite. This is my opinion. I do not think Chris Hughton and his team will succeed at Norwich City and I feel very low about that. This doesn''t mean that I do not want them to or that, I don''t support them or indeed that they won''t succeed. My moaning is done outside of Carrow Road and thats how it will stay.I beg to differ. Your in ability to accept a viewpoint and constructively debate it display signs of bigotry. Therefore my friend I think it is more likely that you are in the "disgrace" bracket if there is one.
  12. I am trying, but I cannot find any positive news archives on the net anywhere. All I keep coming across is sackings, poor starts, only X amount of wins in X amount of games, or in Calderwood''s case, about how him and Grant Holt don''t/didn''t get on. Can anyone else find any positives, if only just to help with the depression of how we''ve fallen so quickly.Seems to me, that last season our major strength was team spirit and togetherness and that this has been blown to pieces since the day Hughton and his team arrived. If you have to push the boat out on any member(s) of your football staff surely its on the manager and coaches? Trouble is, I fear we''ve employed a second rate management team at best, which scares the hell out of me to be honest. We needed to be brave when replacing Lambert but I am beginning to think we bottled it. Admittedly, I''m struggling to think of who a good alternative would have been (other than Poyet) but then again I''m not privy to the inner circle of football. With the previous management team I felt reassured that Cully was on hand, but with this crop I feel dread that we have trollope and calderwood if I''m honest. Both have failed as managers, and lets not kid ourselves, Mr Hughton, isn''t as experienced OR as successful as we may think. I mean, he got Newcastle promoted with a team where it would have been criminal had they not been promoted (admittedly you''ve still got to produce it but even so). He was riding high in the prem before being dismissed, but to be honest, how many teams have a flyer in their first season back? Plenty! He then had a season with Birmingham, whereby I would say, he did "OK" overall considering despite their financial troubles they were still a newly relegated team with better than average championship side. Then there is his stint with us........I''m worried, don''t have a go at me, I just need something positive to give me hope and I''m struggling to find it!
  13. That''s a real "chicken and egg" statement. I think Chris Hughton has tried to instill a more solid cautious approach which the players haven''t taken too, which has seen confidence ebb away, which has then been amplified by Hughton''s seeming insistence on consistently praising the always "superior" opposition. You could argue that the players should be good enough footballers to quickly carry out a variety of formations or approaches but if the message isn''t delivered properly by a manager that believes in you then it can only have a negative effect surely? Ultimately, we''ve seen what these players are capable of last season. This season, they don''t look to have any of last seasons ethics or qualities so you have to nail that down to the manager and coaching staff I believe. So, when push comes to shove, I''m going for tactics, the manager (or for me specifically the failed ex-manager coaching team)
  14. was West Ham at home, Mr Hughton''s dithering over and then losing the nerve to introduce a substitute in this case Wes) to try to actually win the game. His fear of losing the one point outweighed his hunger and desire to gain all three. For me, this sums up the current mentality and painted a picture of what we should expect. The biggest lesson that the world of football has learned from the exploits of the likes of us last season, and Swansea and Blackpool the year before is that to hold fear in this league is basically signing on for relegation.Mr Hughton, it is quite simple you need to stop fearing the opposition. In doing so, attacking football with a confident squad will naturally follow.

  16. i would think cully is on his way to villa. This would explain why villa say compensation is done (meaning for lambert) and we say its not (because we still have cully and karsa and they want them)
  17. http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/?p=9385we even coped with losing Doncaster!!!!!
  18. Makes no difference to my opinion of the matter. His agent is just trying to turn us against McNally to get his own way. I know which horse I''m backing - McNally! and so should we all, if i got offended everytime somebody said I was too old I''d have topped myself by now!Grow up Mr Holt and if you''ve got any sense bin that lunatic agent of yours and have the balls to make your own decisions. You''ve already left the club in my eyes and to be honest good riddance, we thought we had a special group of players with no big egos led by a manager of similar ilk. In reality it seems like we''ve been led up the garden path and had the pi$$ taken out of us. So in light of that, see ya and all the bes,t but Norwich City definitely isn''t the club for you in hindsight.Stick to your guns McNally and get the supporters behind you!Three cheers for McNasty, hip hip........
  19. When Lambert resigned from his post at Colchester, these two resigned at exactly the same time. Now he''s done it here, we''ve not heard a single thing about these two. Now I''m not saying they are staying or that I even want them to particularly, I''m undecided, but I wonder what what the situation is with them? Would be interesting if they didn''t follow Lambert to see what level of impact it would have on him.
  20. i agree, lets prov3e money isn''t the master of all and make a statement.   f*ck him, if it wasn''t for us he''d still be rolling around L1/L2
  21. 1.5 million, 3 million?????? really, these people are taking the pi$$ out of the people claiming he''s worth 5 million, but i would say at least 5 million. Where have you been the last few years while transfer fees have been going bonkers? Once you''ve kicked a ball in the premiership you''re talking about a whole other ball game, let alone if you manage 15 goals+ and finish as the second highest english goalscorer. 1.5 million, thats hideous, seriously, consider it sensibly. You''d be lucky to buy a 15 goal a season premiership striker for triple that, very lucky indeed. In fact, if we could I''d say go get two of them. For me, anything under £5m and we''ve been ripped off. You only have to look at some of the mental transfer fees paid before now to realise that.
  22. Feck Grant Holt, put him back in his place! Make him see out the last two years of his contract, in the reserves,  get fat again and end up with his dream of playing for Carlisle back where he came from - lower league obscurity!
  23. ASAP, Lambert''s Villa deal needs to be wrapped up quick and Holt should be shunted out quick. However, if we go down the selling cheap route I''m gonna feel cheesed. He might be 31 but as the second highest English goalscorer we need a large fee for him. Other clubs players have gone for inflated, ridiculous fees so its about time we raped another club for a player that has peaked and will likely finish next season on loan in the championship! But most importantly, to allow us to compete in the transfer market this summer and stand half a chance next season we need a new manager in place pronto and all contracts etc sorted with the same urgency.
  24. Er... correct me if i''m wrong but I still don''t see where that "confirms" Villa are talking with Lambert. McNally also tweeted that he is in discussions with "another club" nothing more than that
  25. Nobody has confirmed he is actually talking to Villa have they? Swansea? funny how Lambert resigns just a few hours after Rodgers is confirmed to be leaving Swansea! Maybe they have a cash injection and have promised him a serious war chest.ORWest Brom, its all been quiet over there,OR if Liverpool are prepared to take a punt on Rodgers, why not Chelsea on Lambert?? Actually, there''d be a part of me that would pi$$ myself if he joined someone other than Villa.
