epitomise...possibly. But as an exile who doesn''t make it to that many games I''m not entirely qualified to say; or maybe I''m (re)opening a whole bag of worms here; Dicky, Wiz etc. etc. (the best things in life are free...) or not, discuss. -
Palace match Norwich Morrison bid
gary donkerty replied to We need a Manager's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Alex: those were my sentiments exactly not so long ago. Clinton took a VERY long time time to decide for whom to declare for. Needless to say this made him very unpopular in the terraces in Landsdowne Road. Yet within a few months Clinton had become a crowd favourite. Why? Despite his initial hesitancy, Clinton has given nothing short of 110% in every game. He quickly won over the fans and I''m sure he would do likewise at Norwich. He is a very talented striker, and the very thought of him lined up beside Deano would make most Prem teams drool. If he signs...a quality acquisition. As much as I love Clit, I''d have preferred a quality CB etc... but still. Yet another Irish Canary -
Sorry to have distracted from all things things Norwich, but could somebody do me a HUGE favour and post a link to "samba de janeiro"... spelled incorrectly but you know what I mean- the music that''s played when we score! much appreciated. Yet another Irish Canary ...

Clinton Morrison signs
gary donkerty replied to Norwich Shrimper on Tour's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Clinton is a HUGE transfer coup.Well done Worthy ( although to be honest, I would''ve preferred the money to have been spent elsewhere). The man is a work-horse, but talented. Just watch any of his performances/ goals for Ireland. As I''ve stated in other posts, Clint has an ego for sure (but not so much as to be disruptive). SZteve Bruce betrayed him but he still gave his all whenever called upon... One can only hope that a) Worthy will incorporate Deano, Leon and Clint(and that this doesn''t in any way presuppose any departures from FCR). b) There''s still some cash floating aroung to be spent where we really need it!! ( Worthy does love his strikers though). Yet another Irish Canary... -
Norwich agree £2million fee for Morrison

While this signing has come as a major surprise, I''m very happy with it. That of course is not to say that I wouldn''t have preferred the money to have been spent elsewhere. One can only hope this (rather puzzling) move doesn''t signal Deano''s departure. A Deano-Clinton partnership would be truly awesome. Clinton, like Leon, always gives 110%, but has more class, composure and vision. Yes, Clinton has a bit of an ego. This is what helps make him a great player. He''s a little cocky alright, but not in the same destructive manner of a "Bellamy type". Clinton was obviously upset with the Pandiani purchase, but still gave his all whenever he was called upon. With the acquisition of Clinton, we now have a strike force that would be the envy of most premiership clubs...lets just hope there''s still a bit of cash left to strengthen where we really need it! -
Fleming and Doherty - not against Coventry
gary donkerty replied to silver fox's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
like or not; these are the centre-backs that we have (barring any unlikely transfer coups that Worthy may pull off...). Flem has always given his best and granted that was not always enough in the Prem,it has been, and will be in MHO enough in the Championship. My personal affection for Flem aside, I do honestly believe that the Doc and Shacks will be the partnership of the future ( or at the very least the best and most viable partnership we could forge at the back) until we regain our rightful premiership status that we deserve. The Doc has never been given his chance (given the money we paid for him). Granted he was brought in as a "utility" player, but the man sometimes oozes class. The Doc has lost a bit of (must needed) weight and is more mobile than ever... all I ask is that he be given a fair chance come the start of the season. Some of his performances for the Republic of Ireland have been astoundingly good. Please; allow him to do the same for our great club. This is all I ask... Still nervous, but forever optimistic... -
If you could ask NW just one question...

When it says that "you won''t find many of these around", presumably they''re talking about gary doherty fans and not the jersey. -
I''m not sure how much more of this I can take... Can''t eat, can''t sleep and my hair is greying!!! (at the ripe old age of 21) Damn you NCFC! Why can''t you leave me in peace? I''ll feel a lot better once we get those three points though
