  1. That's a part of it I'm sure but there's more than 1 way to win the ball off an opponent. I don't know the model they're using but if they were measuring tackle success rate they'd probably call it 'tackle success rate'. Is this stuff something the every day fan needs to know? Absolutely not. Do some find it interesting. Yes.
  2. I mean, that's pretty much 99% of football clubs. I'd also add that the 'right offer' for one of our players seems to rise dramatically after the first big sale of a summer. If we don't get promoted I'd Imagine Rowe will be the one we'd find impossible to keep. I'd imagine we'd get around £10m. We'll also likely pick up a couple of okay fees for for Idah and Tzolis. Then a few big wages will be falling off (Gibson, Giannoulis, Baath) so I can't see us being desperate to sell. After that I'd struggle to see a club matching our valuation for players like Gunn, Sargent, Nunez or Sainz. Sara could attract a big offer but I'd think it would have to be a lot. All that being said we also have no idea how we're going to be managed financially going forward. With Attanasio's involvement growing who's to say there won't be a bit more budget for Knapper to retain some of our assets.
  3. This seems to be the fear every season from some. Then we only sell 1 or 2.
  4. Any time a player tries to get the ball off another player and the ball is on the ground. Our team presses quite a lot so should naturally be attempting a lot of them.
  5. Remember when we were the worst team to ever play the sport a few days ago? Nor do I.
  6. Did Rob Butler just suggest that Rowe was a better defensive winger than Sainz? Really?
  7. DId it? I think the Premier League was just above his (and our entire team's) level and as soon as he was in the Championship he looked good. Had he not been shafted out onto the wing in half of the games he'd have been a 20+ goal striker last season.
  8. Yet we have a relatively decent record against the rest of the top 8. Doubt there are too many that would fancy going up against us in pressure games like the playoffs. And yes, you're a binner if you don't want us to get promoted.
  9. No manager is willingly throwing away a player who's generally doing well for him and replacing him with a guy who has played about 200 minutes during the first half of the season. I doubt he'd be talking about the trimmed down squad as often if he was happy about it. It's of course logical for Knapper, who is thinking about Idah's potential value going forward. Or even thinking that a run of games in Scotland could be beneficial for him here going forward. Maybe there's more to it than that but I'd be shocked if Wagner wanted that move.
  10. Because we don't have very much money and If we did it wouldn't surprise me if they were planning for the next coach.
  11. I'm shocked at how some people can watch a sport for decades and still understand so little about it.
  12. They've won 20 points from their last 12 games. Doubt they're going down.
  13. The only teams that have battered us away from home this season have been Leicester, Plymouth and Liverpool. Doubt we'll be playing any of those and even if we do end up facing Leicester I would imagine the dynamics of that game would be significantly different.
  14. After going 'negative' we probably had another 3 clear cut chances. Another day and this game is 5 - 1 and everything's hunky dory. Nobody will disagree that Barnes isn't a lone striker. He needs legs up with him hence why we brought on Gibbs, that one obviously ended unfortunately.
  15. Sheffield Wednesday have 17 points from their last 10 games.
  16. ...From some of the PUPs tonight. Days after winning the derby, having only lost a few times this year. Clearly in playoff form. Reactionary nonsense.
  17. Don't think sitting back was the plan though. Clearly wanted to keep up the energy by bringing Gibbs on. After their first it was clearly a backs to the wall job.
  18. Adding height when we've just conceded from 2 corners. We were trying to make the change before the second goal. Awful management.
  19. Still got Aboh and Welch to come on before SVH in the striking positions. Even then Wagner would rather change shape. This and the fact he mentioned the squad trimming in the run up to this game clearly suggests he'd rather have Adam Idah to pick. With such tight margins he probably thinks that call could very well cost promotion.
