It's not even a conversation. Onel was crap all pre-season and crap in most of the games he's played this season. Placheta had a decent pre season and has a goal and and assist in his last 2 games.

We saw Gibbs put in some decent performances in the deeper striker role in wagner's system last year and Placheta looked okay there in pre season. I can see it.

I could see a left hand side of Placheta and Springett with McCallum only making the bench again. Would be surprised if one of the main 2 CB's doesn't start alongside Omo.

Seems to be enjoying the front foot defending aspect of Wagner's game. Really nice watching him cut out a ball and then drive at the opposition, often finds a pass too. I'd honestly written him off but he seems like he could be a key player for us this year.
