  1. LiVARpool getting the decisions yet again. No penalty given to Leeds. Yes Liverpool’s were pens (though not clear cut) but Oliver couldn’t wait to give them. Oliver the best PL referee, shows how shockingly bad the standard is.
  2. Wembley always looks rubbish on tv because of the corporate seats not being filled but that’s nothing to do with atmosphere. The atmosphere on Sunday was decent for what was a 0-0 with a very passive (and often) boring Spain side trying to walk the ball in the net and not creating much in terms of clear cut chances. England tried to make the most of attacks and had the better opportunities. The crowd reacted. And whether people want to believe it or not, the band most definitely made a difference to the atmosphere. Would I want that at NCFC games… probably not, but I also want a decent atmosphere which far too often there isn’t at CR anymore. It’s not PL thing as the crowds haven’t been great for a number of years unfortunately. If some musical support isn’t the answer…what is?
  3. How kind. It was the band that got any song started. And because there are virtually no songs started at Carrow Rd these days, and more because the crowd goes more and more silent when the team actually needs them, I believe there’s a difference to be made
  4. Carrow Rd is virtually full every home game - that makes little difference to the atmosphere.
  5. It’s all irrelevant, we were relegated bloody ages ago apparently. We should’ve given up back then and saved everyone time, effort and money.
  6. Was an enjoyable watch despite the weather. England created some decent chances and Hemp went very close. Felt they tired in the second half and weren’t pressing as well. But a good performance against a very decent Spanish side who like to dominate possession. England restricted them to few chances though and the defence has been solid under Wiegman. Also, I can’t believe I’m going to say it but I thought the drumming was very effective and would be decent addition to a NCFC crowd. All too often Carrow Rd is quiet, particularly when the team needs the support, and as shown today, the drumming gets the crowd involved, raises the volume and therefore must give the team a lift.
  7. This thread is confusing. It was stated tickets weren’t available on NCFC website but that’s where I bought mine. However they haven’t arrived in time and can’t get hold of the ticket office (as per usual, unacceptable on a match day no matter what match it is). As it’s an FA match will my tickets be waiting in the ticket office? Is it closed today? How do I get in the stadium? Any help much appreciated
  8. Take out the Xmas period with numerous injuries and Covid cases, and Smith has got this squad playing to its strengths and looking competitive in every game. Last week and this were always going to be big big asks to get anything out of, but the fact we didn’t look out of place and had chances and used our 11 in the most effective way possible, is pleasing and something to be proud of when considering each individual player for Man City and LiVARpool is roughly equivalent to our entire team. Have an experienced PL manager like Smith in charge of pre season preparations and then the whole competitive season and I’m certain we would be higher up the table and survival much more of an expectation for us all.
  9. Records are there to be broken (look up some that have been). And when it comes to my football team I will believe until it’s mathematically impossible. mate.
  10. Bo*****s Im glad Dean Smith and the squad don’t have your thoughts or mentality. Norwich fans of all fans should understand goal difference isnt everything. And your ‘predictions’ have been mixed at best. Other than that, spot on.
  11. Don’t care how many they score, I won’t be embarrassed by this performance. We simply don’t have the resources of any other team in the league, let alone a team that can spend 75m on one player
  12. I’ve always thought Liverpool is particularly bad though. Both Anfield and Goodison are embarrassing in terms of atmosphere
  13. Yeh the commentating is getting embarrassing now. It was inevitable apparently, he then had an **** live on tv and now has written us off completely for the rest of the match
  14. Agree. Left Tsimikas completely unmarked for his chance that he really should’ve scored. Placheta on? We don’t have many options
  15. Wouldn’t it be f***ing great for Klopp to f*** it up by not giving us enough respect and resting his two full backs. OTBC
  16. Well played McLean, very good first half along with the whole team. Hard working and looking to attack as well when getting the chance
  17. Liverpool aren’t playing offside trap very well. Need to keep doing what we’re doing and chances will come
  18. Commentator I’m listening to just said ‘Oxlade Changing room’ 🤣
  19. Are they going to retrospectively award the race and championship to Hamilton? Didn’t think so. Was and still is a complete joke. Last game of the season, we need to avoid defeat to stay up. A loss will see us relegated. We start fantastically and are then surprisingly 3-0 up with only 5 mins to go. The parade has been organised, our new £20million ‘one for the future’ 15 year olds contract sorted, the new scampi prices finalised and delias statue sculpted. Then, suddenly Michael Oliver stops play theatrically to take a telephone call from the Premier League. They instruct all 11 of our players off the field to be replaced by a random selection of fans from the snake pit, and RvW. Spurs are allowed to make 11 subs of their own, but players from around the world have been flown in specially for them to choose from. VAR announce on the screen ‘Norwich penalised for lack of sporting integrity and not giving it a go - sponsored by talksport’ Goals from Mbappe and Haaland leave the game level with 30 seconds to go. Then Mr Hannibal Suarez goes down in the area because Drunken Mctakintheknee’s belly gets in the way of his teeth. Mr Oliver dances to the spot and awards the pen, whilst VAR assistant Mike Deanotherules reviews the incident for 0.5 seconds before confirming the spot kick. RvW saves the pen and is the Barclay hero until he takes the proceeding goal kick and scores an own goal. Thus Norwich are condemned to relegation with Oliver overheard telling Dean Smith at the end “that’s competitive football for you”.
  20. So how is that not a red? High, out of control and dangerous…
  21. Wessi has still got it, vision and skill. Not sure about the haircut though..
  22. The best commentary that never actually happened
  23. See Making Plans post above. I was referring to that - which, if correct, most certainly is breaking the law.
  24. He’s 35 but yes, incredible achievement - probably his best grand slam win. Also means he has the most grand slams. Good on him. Unbelievable what he’s achieved over the years. Djokovic only has himself to blame, and will hopefully get treated as anyone else would if he has broken the law.
