Is he up to playing in the first team, the only other player i''d put up front on saturday would be Martin (Chris obviously). I dont think I would start Johnson or McDonald but what about Daley. I havent seen him in ages, is he up for starting or is he no good? For me Johnson and McDonald are both impact subs and shouldnt start, from what i''ve seen of Elliot he shouldnt even be on the bench. Doherty up front is a novel idea but I dont think he could cut it and i''d rather he plays in defence, so for me its either Chris Martin on his own or maybe Daley with him.
I think that Johnson and McDonald will contribute more to the team starting then Daley. It is a probelm with Holt being suspended as we had no-one decent in the air up front, but we need sort out our tactics and put balls low into the box where our forwards are more likely to win it.
20-4. Tut tut. [:)] I think it''d be worth a go. I honestly would rather have the big Ginger up top, but I don''t think it will happen. [:(] So I think it''s worth a go, either on the wing or up front.
At least I can get on my xbox [;)] I don''t think playing doherty up front would work as he isn''t a striker. We are more likely to score with someone else playing up front.
I disagree. In the 5 mins he went up front on Tuesday, we looked more lively that the other 85. And if we don''t play him up front, who''s gonna win the headers? We seemed to play alot of football in the air at Orient, which seemed retarted as Elliot probably didn''t win a header all night, and Martin isn''t the best. Has Johnson/Elliot/MacDonald played Premier League football up front?
I think me may have done at Sunderland, Wolves or Man City but I see your point.
If they have played in the Premier League in the past it doesn''t mean they are good, it means they use to be good [;)]
 2. I don''t think we should play doherty up front, but just play the ball into our strikers feet and play the ball low into the box.

Well that''s the point I was trying to make eariler on, don''t put the ball in the air, keep it on the ground and play it into feet. No but lets be honast, was docherty any good upfront in the prem? NO. You should stop posting on here and load up your fifa disk with any luck you may be on by midnight [;)]

 6.
not exactly obvious. "I use this too" does not suggest he has only just been on it. also he mentions hes been to the valley 3 times before so surely he has some idea.
Well I think that he just did go on it but wasn''t sure so posted a thread on here. Most of the people are helpful on here unlike you who only comes on to slag Brendan off, as seen in other posts. Btw he has been 2 times before not 3 and it is understandable to forget how the seats are layed out.
 7.

Boyo -  Have a look at this link, it''s a really good website and I use it everytime I go away to give my self an idea of the ground. www.footballgroundguide.com Just click on Charlton and it gives you everything you need to know! I use this too. Plus this will be my third time at the Valley. It''s just it will be good to be closer to the pitch, but poor view? [:S]
so why start a thread if you know where to find the answer??
He didn''t know before he created this thread and then found out later, obviously.
 8.
i reckon a 2-0 win and a millwall defeat friday
3-0 win. I think lambert will be wanting a reaction out of his players after last nights peformance, and they will give him that :)
 9.   Let''s just hope Newcastle let us have him for another season :)
 10.

We spent £1 mil  on David Marshall when we needed to improve our squad elsewhere, which proved costly in the end as we got relegated.
True. But I think Forster is clearly alot better. On the plus side, I think Rudd''s distribution is alot better than Forsters? [:S]
Yes maybe but it is still not worth spending that much money on a goalkeeper. If there are no other areas in which we can strengthen our squad then it would be a good buy, but like I said when we bought Marshall for £1 mil there was still many more important areas in which should be got priority over the goalkeeper position :) Yes that is clear to see Brendo ;)

 12. I agree to an extent but you can''t blame the loss down to Holt. The player was was replacing him in the team had a responsablity to do a job and if they aren''t doing that then we haven''t got much chance of winning. The whole team didn''t peform from the defenders to the forwards and that was the reason why we lost not due to one man being missing. If they were to have put in a better peformance we may have came away with a point or even all 3 but the players who were avaliable for selection yesturday have to take the blame. As for Saturday it is a hard one, but in Lambert we trust ;)
 13. Everytime the keeper falls over a freekick gets given, it''s part of the game these days.
 14.

Yes because I distinctly remember filling in an application form and getting the tickets through the post.
me too!
Me three.
 15. Hughes on the right? I don''t think that would really work.
 16. This doesn''t have anything to do with Norwich. Why make a thread here about it? It''s quite clear where thread like this belong.
 17. I think we may get into the play offs. If we keep all our good players and add to the squad there is no reason why we can''t. We have a winning team and a good manager so I can''t see why not. Look at teams such as Leicster, Swansea and Nottingham Forest, they have all done well so far this season and were in League 1 long not long ago.
 18.

I take it that you would prefer Spaniards or Italians or even Germans to dance the night away with the trophy.
Yeah, it would be a real shame if they stopped all the Englishmen from winning it... Man Utds team vs Bolton on Sunday :     * 01 Van der Sar - Holland     * 02 Neville - English     * 03 Evra - French     * 15 Vidic - Serbian     * 23 Evans - N. Ireland     * 11 Giggs - Wales (Macheda - Italian 84)     * 17 Nani - Portugese     * 18 Scholes - English (Carrick - English 74)     * 24 Fletcher - Scottish (Gibson - N. Irish 80)     * 25 Valencia - Ecuadorian     * 09 Berbatov - Bulgarian Oh.
Usually Rooney and Ferdinand are both playing, so you need to take that into account.
 19. It has nothing to do with the Charlton game. I just like collecting the tickets of games I have been to as a memory of them. I''m away at my cousins wedding at the week of the Charlton game anyway.
 20. I have lost my ticket stub from the Huddersfield game and I was wondering if anyone had a spare one? Call me a sado but I like to keep all the tickets of games/events I have been to such as away games and cricket matches. If anyone could help me that would be great. Many thanks.
 21. Great support today. I was loving all the songs coming out of the barclay haha
 22. I am currently on 8 stubs and was wondering if anyone had any stubs that they are willing to give me. It would be very helpfull if you did and would be much appreciated. PM me if you can please.
