  1. Safe place to go really, no threat of relegation if he gets that squad going and also no expectation to be too 4. He stabilises them, wins a couple of high profile games and gets them in the top 10 and it will be mission complete. Treading water and PL experience as he waits for the Liverpool job.
  2. Surely he could be hunting for jobs in the tiers above us… I mean, Dortmund to Norwich is quite a regression and not really one he would need to make with many admirers. Would certainly be quite the statement, though just can’t see him taking it to be honest.
  3. The rubbish thing is, that will have a knock on effect with fees and wages going up across the board.
  4. He's my first choice, the fact it hasn't been ruled out at the other end is a positive sign as i was reading that they have been quick to publicly shoot down speculation in the press in the past. PL experience or not, he plays 4-3-3 which is what we have the new players for, he also has his teams using the high press and Id love to see us show that sort of aggression in matches. Then you throw in a manager who is use to being at a club punching above it weight, who showed no fear or respect to Roma.. it's a gamble but it more a gamble id like to take than Frank.
  5. Couldn’t think of a worse person to be honest. Just scrapped into the play offs with a side that should have won the league, then should actually have been relegated if the laws of the game were followed. thankfully it won’t be him as Norwich tend to plan ahead and he was still in a job when we sacked Farke.
  6. If it is Lampard at least you can bet your bottom dollar that Gilmour starts every game for the rest of the season...
  7. Completely different job Im afraid, something that takes time to learn and develop. Farke also probably sees his future as a top 4 German league manager in his aspirations, I think becoming a Sporting Director of Norwich would be a step down.
  8. But I think it unlikely we will be selling for less than the 8-9 million we shelled out for them. Who on the continent could pay that for what so far are relatively unproven top flight talent.
  9. I mean to be honest, if we have to rebuild then these will be the players we build the side around, especially as we will see exits in the summer. Idah potentially too. Who knows about Todd and I wonder if anyone would come in for Tzolis or Rashica.
  10. No. Nothing in football ever works 100%, that’s why we love it. Look at Man U and their signings, look at Ipswich buying up the league and flopping. You sign 10 player, and if 2 are outstanding and 3 are good to average that’s a pretty high return.
  11. I’ll start a poll for that too, is the problem too many polls, not enough polls, or people complaining about polls?
  12. So what is the issue? Would changing the manager even make a difference?
  13. I’d argue not. We will have a rebuild job to do in the summer, no Normann no Gilmour. Who knows about PLM. No Skipp coming back, so what are we hoping for, Rupp and McClean to come good? We are at a point where I’d be playing him alongside Normann as the 2 in the 4-2-3-1, not because it’s going to make us better but to get us ready for next year.
  14. Hasn't even made the bench today, with Placheta getting in ahead of him. He was very highly rated and given a new contract, but if he isnt going to get a look in at first team football then he deserves a decent Championship loan to go and get the experience and minutes he needs. This is like Idah, where im worried we won't ever see their true potential at Norwich as they are neither starting nor being allowed somewhere to develop and play.
  15. It makes you wonder what the deal is with Gilmour and Sorenson that they haven't been able to displace him. I sometimes worry Farke is a little too sentimental with his starters.
  16. Leeds aren't a side that we will need to hold the ball up against, they will over commit and there will be space to run at them. I think I would have gone 4-2-3-1 and matched them. But like I said this could be a master stroke and im going to reserve judgement as I couldn't call it.
  17. Its a curious one, Im going to withhold my judgement till after the first 20 minutes. Very surprised to see Sargent keep his place and Tzolis not start. Odd to have Rashica as a wing back, really not what I would have done but hey ho thats me.
  18. I mean, who is A) going to want him and B) going to be able to afford him.
  19. Isn't it fun when someone uses the word 'socialist' in a way that clearly displays they have no idea what it means. It's a bit like an online intelligence test...
  20. But the season isnt over is it? He's said that the levels haven't been acceptable but also there is time to change. It would be mental for him to come out and write the season off after 9 games and say yeah sorry everyone, everything is wrong. If we go down, I have no doubt he will man up and take responsibility for it but not now.
  21. It’s hasn’t only come from Webber, though Webber is the highest profile person to say as much. Also the second part is nonsense, we saw no such thing with regards to Maddison, Lewis and Godfrey.
  22. Also worth adding, in the Pinkun interview clearly gives an answer to the 'We could have just told Emi No' brigade. I think up till now the club have been tight lipped on the truth out of respect for Emi and to not tarnish the relationship we have with him as fans and the happy memories we have. It appears however that, due to the criticism and the dreamland opinons we could force him to stay and still see him give 100%, are exactly that a fantasy. The rumours that he said to Webber 'I will never play for this team again' appear true. And lets be honest, he tried to do it the summer before so we cant exactly say its out of character.
  23. Some of the reactions to this are comical, what did you expect? He was going to sit down and go 'you know what we have been terrible and I think everyone on twitter are right, Im going to sack Farke, but also my signings are terrible and the fans actually should boo more, because we know that that generally helps the players and creates an intimidating atmosphere for the opposition'. Personally I think it was fair, though of course carrying the perspective of OUR sporting director, of course he's going to defend the club. I mean some of our 'supporters' need to try and take that approach, I think the idea that there are happy clappers could be countered by saying I think a lot of the moaners are fair weather fans to be honest, only with us when the going is good. I was glad the acknowledged Chelsea was totally unacceptable and I was happy to hear a bit of fight and defiance. What else does anyone want? We talk about shaking off that 'little old Norwich' tag yet someone comes out with a bit of fight and it seems a lot of our fans egos are so fragile they cant take it. Lets be frank, the atmosphere at Carrow Road has been pants. The Snake pit boo at the first opportunity and the Barclay is quiet, sorry lads but belting out OTBC at the start of the game once isn't job done. I really don't like Leeds and have no time for Burnely in a footballing sense, but I tell you what, those are fans bases that make going to their ground and playing against them are really uncomfortable experience. Even Crystal Palace are achieving that now to an extent. Meanwhile our Sporting director comes out and says 'get behind them for 90 minutes, fight back, fight against the narrative that we are all being painted with that we don't deserve it, players and supporters alike' and whats the reaction 'oh whaaa whaaa I spend my money I'll boo if I like'. pathetic.
  24. Its funny because I know there is this natural phenomenon that whoever isnt playing is the answer to all the problems, in Norwich world I believe its called 'the bechio effect'. However, unlike Luciano, we saw a lot of Lungi last year to suggest he's a good player and capable of getting better with his age too. Whats more is, one must ask.. not that could it be any better, but instead, could it be any worse? If Daniel went back to a 4-2-3-1 with Norman and Sorenson I don't think many would be furious. The return of a 3 of LML and Kenny just cant happen in my opinion after a horrible no show.
