1.
I never really understand the criticism of Wes and it makes even less sense after the game today. Man of the match on Sky and you would have great difficulty putting forward a case to disagree with that. Negative reviews of his game usually seem to centre around him giving the ball away too much which is absolute bullsh*t or his lack of consistency which misses the point that if he was more consistent he would not be playing for us.  He is without doubt my favourite current player and it is great to see him playing in his best position now as a Number 10. Does anyone really think that we would be better off playing another out and out striker such as Jackson or Morison alongside Grant Holt? Our most underrated player in my opinion. What a curious OP from ''Mr Positive'' [:^)]
I''m a very curious person - curious to know why players don''t appear to learn from their mistakes.   For all his skill, Hoolahan still gets caught out too often.  Head down trying desperately to keep the ball when he should just move it on.   A player of his skill and experience should  not get caught out as often as he does, imo.
 2. It is all very well saying we were the better team, but you have to admit that it doesn''t look good when corners and free kicks are of such poor quality.  I sat here when Snodgrass took a free kick saying - come on, come on, don''t over hit it - and of course he did.   Just too many going astray. If we want  people to take us seriously as a premier league team - we have to have better quality of delivery at set pieces.   Call it an off day if you like, but a good performance and being the better team doesn''t count if you can''t even deliver a decent ball in for strikers to attack.   I''m sure Hughton and the players will want to improve this  aspect of their play - and the players are capable of it - but having said that it is still a point we would have been grateful for before the match.
 3.

it shows how wes needs to learn to use his right foot.... Power it past the keeper instead of bottling the finish because he is too one footed...
He went with the right foot, just went for the wrong corner
watch it again later on..
I think he means "right" as in "correct" as opposed to "right" as in "right and left".   When he says "right", he means "left".     Of course I could be wrong which means you are right -"right" as in "correct"  not as in "right and left".     Right?  I mean "right" as in "is that clear" not right as in "correct" nor "right" as in "right and left".................I hope that''s cleared that one up..........[;)]
 4. Our most skilful player, looks good on the ball and links play etc. He causes less damage when he gives the ball away when he''s further forward - and could have scored twice - works hard - but still leaves me feeling disappointed.  Why is that??    Genuinely don''t know.
 5.
We gave away so much possession through sloppy passes, delivered poor crosses, and that''s why we couldn''t beat 10 men. If Villa had not forfeited a player we would proably have lost. The effort was good but performance was not IMO.
Oh dear.......I agree with Paul Moy..........
 6. I don''t know why it would be a surprise if it was a pass.     Holt  has a good eye for a pass and accurate with it.  Benefit of the doubt for me.......a superb pass.
 7. Hmmmm......great result?    Poor goal given away, lots of wasteful passes, poor free kicks and corners.   One point when it should really have been three with a little more quality.    Good result, but not great imo.
 8. Pleased we got a point but there is so much to improve on - finishing, set pieces, passing, decision making - just to name a few. Positive, but could do a lot better.
 9.
Set pieces were ok. I think the reason so many were being overhit in the final 10 mins was due to the pressure they felt under to deliever a ball. Psychologically they were all over the place
Pressure - isn''t that what they are supposed to be able to deal with?
 10. ???????Over hit or under hit - nearly every time - not just this game either. [:^)]
 11. Its all been said - Hoolahan at his best - and worst.  Several players giving the ball away too cheaply.   Misunderstanding in defence (being kind). I''d have Jackson on for Hoolahan, get some pace running at their defence.
 12.
Can''t make tomorrows game, 1st away game I have missed this calender year. Don''t know how most fans are going to play it, but I genuinely hope we give Lambert the respect he deserves. If people can not see the supreme good he did for our club and the benefit he gave us then I think its just sad. No need to clap, no need to boo, just be respectful and classy. We are Norwich Super Norwich!!!!
^^  This  [Y]
 13. Staying in English leagues so am going forBrentford v Hartlepool - looks odds on a home win.Good luck everyone.
 14. Personally have always been a Hoddle fan.   Great footballer and a good manager/coach.   Even did well with England.   Some slightly - shall we say - alternative - ideas, but if you can overlook that he would imo still make a good manager.  If he was to go to them down the road, they would almost certainly start improving - so lets hope he doesn''t!
 15.
Ah the Snakepit, home of the burberry clad lobbers of season tickets at Gunny. Home of the thin wheezy types with notes from thier mummies saying they can skip PE who will one day grow a pair and get a ticket in the Barclay where they''d all secretly like to be.
Mungo is the kind of sh*t stirrer no-one wants to have working  with them or for them.    A chip on both shoulders and he lets everybody know it.   His "gang"  at Carrow Rd - if he has one - will be small and insignificant - probably like the size of his appendage.   His divisive nature and setting fan against fan is a bit like having a  "binner" in your midst.   His apparent knowledge of the club shows he is probably a fan, but his posts on here are nothing to do with being amongst the vast army of real Norwich fans.   He is more like a lone voice in the wilderness crying out "I''m here, I''m here".
 16. As you say, its going to be a fascinating encounter tomorrow.   Hughton will have identified the focus of the attack - as will Lambert.   The right was a weakness for us last season - Martin seemingly struggling with  pace sometimes when playing right back and with Turner not the quickest - Abgonlahor and co will I suspect try to exploit us in that area.     Villa are seemingly a bit lacking in confidence and have issues in the middle of defence  -  we can exploit that.    Hopefully we will put in a strong performance and if we do we will be ok, but a lot depends on how Lambert gets his men fired up for this one.    If he does - its going to be a heck of a game!
 17.
I''m an analyst by trade and any stats to me are fun as long as they are factual.
That''s fair enough - and I won''t comment on this thread again.  I suppose I like to enjoy  coming on here without seeing this  thread popping up every week - mainly because I don''t see the point in people harping on about a relegation battle every week, when there are points to be won against teams like.....well.....Arsenal. I take your point about stats and I know people like them.   I don''t on the whole like stats because they can be - and quite often are -  manipulated to say something that takes away from the truth  rather than add to it.
 18. Lambert feels "uncomfortable" Lets hope Lambert feels even more uncomfortable after tomorrow''s match.................
 19.
Honestly LDC I expect better of you, there are some really grumpy gits on this forum.  How about a little live and let live.It all looks fun to me and is a talking point. It isn''t gospel, but its a talking point.
Live and let live I agree with, which is why I should be able to comment on something I find absurd.  If I could be bothered I would start a thread about other clubs records against the clubs at the top, or likely to be at the top at the end of the season.   We have only played four of those and have four points already - Spurs 1, Arsenal 3.   And its only the end of October.    We only got six points the whole of last  season against these clubs.  However,  The relevance of that is probably just as futile as a relegation mini-league.   The truth is its a league of  20 clubs and every game has to be fought at the same level - to win points.  Points mean prizes.    Grumpy I may be, but me - and City 1st by the looks of things - feel strongly about seeing something that actually is focusing on just a few clubs who may or may not be near the bottom come May.    All last season I - and others - kept saying - why are we focusing on the bottom of the table all the time?   There was never any suggestion that we were relegation fodder - we had a fantastic positive and competitive manager/team - the evidence was there that we would be competitive.......................and the relegation mini-league thread eventually disappeared under the weight of its own lack of credibility. I trust this season will be the same.
 20. The mini-league is precisely why people got so wound up about the "importance" of the home game to Blackburn last season.   It was billed on here as a "relegation decider" - at the end of October!!    We simply had to win that game to stand any chance of surviving, apparently.  But how many points did we take off Blackburn last season? One.  Did it lead to our relegation?  No.  How many points did we take off Spurs?  Three.  Did that helps us stay up? Yes.  Of course these games against lower teams are important - but the danger of harping on about the "mini-league" is that too many people start to over estimate the importance of it.    Yes, beating near rivals is important - of course it is - but picking up points anywhere is just as important.   We may even beat a top six side this season..........you never know......oh wait a minute.............. Stats tell you that if you win the "mini-league you will stay up".  That''s like saying "if you get enough points you will stay up" because what the stats don''t say - or take into account - is the points that you may pick up from other teams.      Its bonkers.
 21. "If Villa play well they''ll beat Norwich,  if Norwich play well, they''ll beat Villa, if neither team play that well it could be a draw,  if  Villa score Norwich will have to score to get anything, if Norwich score, Villa will have to score to get anything, if  Norwich score two, they  will win unless Villa score two, if Norwich score three, Villa will have to score three to get anything, if Villa score three Norwich will have to score three to get anything, if nobody scores it will be a 0-0 draw.....if....  if...  if...  if...." Bring back Lawro, all is forgiven!  [:S]
 22.
Could be one of the front runners for the IP5SW1CH job Hope so he was Shite at Castle....
They''d do better with Bobby Robson than with Shearer....................
 23.
I think, my dear fellow, you mean ginger cats
I bow to your superior knowledge of cats, City 1st.......................shows you should never trust wiki.....[:S]
 24. Churchill had cats.............he liked orange ones for some reason...............had one called Jock who  he used to sleep with it.............not in the biblical sense......Apparently teenagers, if you ask them about the history of Churchill start going on about the tv advert.   Sad, but not surprising.
