  1. I do not blame you in the slightest. However, maybe you could''ve bricked the witches car before leaving?? Sorry for the bad mood and all, but then again, I think you all agree its justified. I have never been this pissed as a result of footy. Never.
  2. Agree, nice guy. Not a manager.
  3. I really don''t want to think. I''m tempted to get the bus and get to the ground, just so I can shout at it, at the witch, at Gunn (who i''ve been bigging up all summer, due to the new signings, in an attempt to feel optimistic). Its horrible.
  4. I wish i was there now, somehow walking round the house being angry isn''t quite the same as screaming widly at the ground. Maybe we could add Carrow Road to the ''list of horrible defeats'', along with The Valley and Craven Cottage. Absolute p*** take.
  5. I said I''d wait 10 games before making any judgements, but this is a fu****g joke, yeah!?!?! 4-0 down!!! All that optimism about the season has just been thrown spectacularly out the window!!
  6. Yeah, an early goal will be really important, but I don''t think the crowd will turn too quickly if there isn''t one. I reckon most will stay positive as long as its 0-0 all the way through with us playing better, and everyone will just hope for a late goal.
  7. I reckon it''ll be an amazing atmosphere, which is a bummer cos I couldn''t make it :( But there we are. As long as we play well throughout the game, the crowd surely won''t turn. I''m gonna be so nervous/excited come 3 tomorrow, it would be great to actually be there!
  8. I haven''t been supporting very long, in fact it looks like I chose a bad time to start following city ;] 1st September 2007 for me, lost 2-1 to Cardiff.
  9. Although its been said before, I''d go for England winning the world cup. City can also get promoted through the playoffs or finishing second.
  10. Best wishes to you, your friends and family OTWTY, you have all our support. Also a top gesture by the club. I hope the team give you something to cheer about on Saturday, and throughout the whole season!
  11. Did they really use crowd size as a reason for us getting promotion?? I guess the added income from large crowds always helps, but surely the actual crowd size itself doesn''t really affect much =P Dunno about Derby, but they seem to get a decent amount of uni students as fans. My cousin is at derby university and despite having no previous interest in footy, he and the guys in his accommodation all bought season tickets at Derby, supposedly its something that lots of students do.
  12. I think they definitely should have used us! We''re far enough out so have to drive for ages and have accents they could''ve mocked, plus they sponsor us ;] Its not like we don''t need to worry about Norfolk stereotyping on tv, I don''t think a week goes by without a Norfolk gag on shows like Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 cats etc. Surely we''re all used to it by now :P
  13. I''d be more than happy if the league finished like that ;]
  14. I don''t boo players (well, that''s strictly not true, I definitely booed and gave them my opinions at Charlton last season). And without defending those that do, since I generally think its completely counter-productive, maybe the booing him will spur him on a bit. He''ll put more effort in to prove others wrong? Ya know... just a thought :p
  15. I really hope no one sings that! Hopefully people won''t start with the "win the league" chants for a while yet since you won''t win the league based on one performance at the start of the season. However, i''m all up for the singing and chanting and stuff, makes the whole thing more entertaining I think.
  16. I think they''ll put up a decent fight. I''m going for 1-0 to us.
  17. I think he means like, small local league sides. Still, its mostly a decent article.
  18. 5 weeks ago, I thought we''d get a mid table finish, maybe 11th. Now, on paper our squad looks pretty decent, so I think we''ll finish 2nd. I wouldn''t be surprised if Millwall or Leeds were to win it. That''s only ''on paper'' though...
  19. I assume you sit near him porkyp, is he still up to his cheeseboard antics?
  20. I think it''ll be pretty high, 24,000+, my mate tried to get tickets and was told they had very few left. I dunno how many Colchester are expecting to sell but it must be a fair amount as they still have block H. Then again, this is like there local derby this season.
  21. Haha maybe, it "runs in the family" so to speak. I wander if the ''cheeseboard guy'' is still around though??
  22. I''m not going, the price seems a bit steep when travel and all is worked out, just too see a friendly, which will probably have no atmosphere anyway.
  23. He sounds like a great singing, would have been nice to see more of him on Saturday. Its encouraging to see him reviewed so highly by a fan of his former team. They''re often the people to have the most accusations about a player. Hopefully he''ll play with Cody, they could be a decent combination I reckon.
  24. It was fairly quiet. The Man U glory hunters up top in the away bit were loving being able to see "their team" but mostly it was quiet, not particularly atmospheric. Hopefully wigan will be a better atmosphere, most of the home crowd will actually be city fans ;]
  25. Well done Mello ;) But it is something which seems to be mentioned a lot, those fans who don''t complain and are always optimistic often seem to think they''re higher than those of us who will speak out when we don''t like what''s happening. Being a supporter, in my mind at least, means that you''ll follow the team, go to matches, and support the club financially from ticket sales and what not. But it also means that if you disagree with how its being run, you should speak out. If you don''t like what''s happening you shouldn''t sit back and accept it, you should try and stop it, at least by getting your voice heard.
