1. Absolutely delighted for Lappin as well, can''t think of a more deserving player given how he stuck with us through circumstances which would see most other players do all they can to leave.   Regarding Roy, well he was in my thoughts throughout last night, a few moments after the final whistle when the players ran and slid over to our fans I could almost hear Roy speaking over what I was seeing, I have no shame in admitting I shed a joyful tear!
2. I''ve searched high and low for the post that went up on here just after we got relegated a couple of years ago but can''t find it anywhere - what with this being the morning after the night before I think it would be quite poignant for it to be displayed on here again. Can anyone pick it out (SDP?) and either post the link onto this thread or bump the original?
3. Afternoon chaps and chapettes,   So just over two hours until kick off at the Cardiff City Stadium, nervous doesn''t cut it for me and I''m sure everyone else, I expect the Cardiff - Boro game to result in some form of score-draw, and my head also says we''ll draw at Pompey, only time will tell!   I won''t dwell too much on the Cardiff game, so I think we''ll line up as follows:   Ruddy R. Martin Whitbread (if not fit then Edwards) Ward Tierney Fox Surman Crofts Hoolahan Jackson Holt (c)   Subs: Rudd, Drury, Smith, Hughes, Lappin, Martin, Pacheco   Oh, and COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!
4. Can''t see Cardiff losing tonight, as I stated in a previus post I do think Boro will grab a decent score draw later, I think that we too will draw, but win on Saturday!
5.
Cobbold Stand = REAL fans Beamback = ?????? (you can fill that in for yourself)
I''ve only read two of your posts, Mr Bumpkin, and what a load of tosh they are!   As the poster above said, what if the OP was, like myself, one of the thosands of fans who missed out in the ballot for the game?   Anyway, by your ruling, shouldn''t you be away from your computer and on your way to Portsmouth??? Or are you not a "loyal supporter"?
6. As far as I''m concerned as long as we match Baadiff''s result at the very least, I will be extremely confident going into Saturday. I have a gut feeling Boro will get a score draw...
7. My girlfriend will be impressed when she gets back to our flat later, the amount of house work I''ve gone through is frightening, will do anything to take my mind off the games later on (admittedly coming on this forum wasn''t a genius idea!) However my girlfriend IS aware how nervous I am and has bought me a fresh bottle of Jack to help me cope, is it too early to start?
8. ...would you rather: start a 90% fit Grant Holt tonight vs. Nottingham Forest, running the risk that he could do further damage to his hamstring (assuming it is a hamstring strain) and could potentially miss the majority, if not all of then run in;   OR   don''t run the risk on Holty tonight, having a major impact on our chances of a vital win, but to preserve Holt to ensure he is 100% fighting fit to face Ipswich on Thursday and the remaining games thereafter?
9. Yeah I thought it would be standard procedure to have some kind of call-back clause on our players going out on loan, especially when it''s a full season - though perhaps because Cody was part of a swap deal involving Jackson we may not have had that option during negotiations.
10. 9 points to play for, so how many do you think we''ll get? And what are your score predictions for these crucial games? Mine are as follows...   My heart says:   Nottingham Forest (H): 3-1 Ipswich Town (A): 3-1 Derby County (H): 2-0 Total points: 9   However, my head says:   Nottingham Forest (H): 1-1 Ipswich Town (A): 2-2 Derby County (H): 3-1  Total points: 5
11. I played football against a Forest fan last night, told him Holt was a major doubt for Friday and his face lit up, apparently Forest fans see him as our biggest threat tomorrow, no doubt this is the case.
12. Does anyone actually listen to these all the way through? I think they''re truly cringe-worthy, and before people say "oh well it''s better than nothing" it''s really not. I try to listen to them but those that appear on them really do have voices that should stick to newspapers and not audio-style reviews. I admire the intentions of giving fans more diverse info/opinions but it just doesn''t work for me! And before someone says it, I won''t listen to anymore! Just interested to see what other people made of them.
13. I see, just goes to show how much sh*t comes out of Barry Fry''s mouth really.
14. I started watching about 10 mins in, so it must have been mentioned before that, can you put that into the context of conversation? Did Dion mention it? If so I won''t buy it after last weeks disappointment...
15.
Peterboro have said tonight if we cough up the £3 million he is ours , Norwich have said nothing to add to last weeks statement.
Source?
16. Grant Holt has been nominated for npower Player of the Year, up against Adel Taarabt and Scott Sinclair, where as Henri Lansbury has been nominated for Young Player of the Year, with Will Buckley and Connor Wickham as competition.   I''m sure you''ll all agree this is a great compliment to both players, and is a testiment to both them as players and us as a club, well done lads!
17. We''ve set up an affiliation agreement with Billericay Town ensuring that any youth talent in the local area goes through a development centre set up by NCFC with view to them being offered a place at the Norwich City Youth Academy.   Can only see something this minor being a great move, as a lot of youngsters in that area often head straight to West Ham/Arsenal/Spurs/Chelsea trials, hopefully we can poach a couple of wonderkids in years to come!
18. I''d have him here before you could say "Linda Evans".
19. I think he will have real drive and determination having not played for the last few games, he''ll want to prove to everyone he can cut it in the Championship, and most of all prove to Lambert he is a worthy partner for Holt.   Jackson has worked very hard in Martin''s absense, but goals win matches and I''d trust Martin over Jackson to score in a one on one with Federici.   Thoughts?
20.
Is anyone else really not bothered what the same journalists have to say each week? I think the Q&A idea would be a good idea if somebody people actually wanted to hear from were answering the questions (perhaps a different player each week). Because to be honest, all they do is tell us what we already know, there''s no real insight into anything. Is it just me that thinks this??
Don''t worry mate, it''s not just you. To me, that "feature" on this website just comes across as the result of a bored lunchtime at Archant HQ, once or twice a week. I had a peak at the first one they did and have kept away from since then, I''d much rather read a proper article by the likes of Cuffley, Lakey (stick with what you''re good at!) ect than read a couple of sentences with their opinion about certain things. It''s like with the podcasts and videos they do, they are all cringe worthy, these are writers, not TV personalities, and not radio show hosts. The Pink''un website was much better when it was just insightful articles and this message board.   Also, why are the powers that be so insistant that the main story most days is "NORWICH CITY DEBATE - 2 HOURS TO GO!"? Leave the news feed to news, not to plug a rubbish feature.
21.

We''ve left it late.
I cant believe so many people fall for your wind ups [:)]
cityangel, it was no wind up. I was informed there would be an announcement at 22.30 from the club. I did, I admit, assume it would be an incoming signing for NCFC, however it looks as if it was regarding Nelson''s move to Scunthorpe. I did mention this earlier in the thread once the Nelson move broke, I''ve been as anxious as anyone else to find out if we''re signing someone and I have no reason whatsoever to lie about this.
22. Nelson leaves for Scunthorpe, I was told there was an announcement, not clarifying whether it was an incoming or outgoing transfer, but I must admit I assumed it was incoming, if that''s the 22.30 news announced early, I''m genuinely sorry for getting peoples hopes up.
