  1. Sank a few ales in this pub in March 2009 after our 2-0 defeat with dear old Gunny in charge - excellent pint of Phoenix Arizona. Dorbs - Where you the landlord back then?
  2. Our Ricky also came a creditable 1366th in the ranking of players from the top european leagues - out of 1368! I feel slightly embarrassed for the 2 guys below him.
  3. Doh! Course not... Not counting Runners-up then??
  4. If you''re allowing pre-Champions League winners aswell then I have a 4/5: David Platt Man Utd (Youth only - so probably doesn''t count) Aston Villa Juventus Arsenal Forest
  5. I can get another 3... Paul Ince - Man U, Liverpool and Inter.
  6. He picked up 2 yellow cards during the 4 Dutch Europa League Play-off matches FC Twente played and that results in a 1 game suspension apparently. But he only received 3 yellow cards in normal league games all season. Why the FA are applying the suspension to the first game of a Premier League season is beyond me - it''s nothing to do with the Dutch play-offs which obviously tightens the rules to stop players taking a yellow card in every game without punishment.
  7. Just sent them this under the guise of Website Feedback.....There seems to be a serious problem with your website for the PFA Fans Awards 09/10. In the drop down for Q2 after selecting League One in Q1, the list of players appearing is not correct. The only visible names are Beckford (Leeds), Becchio (Leeds), Lambert (Soton) and Snodgrass (Leeds). You will already noticed that having 3 players from a team who have woefully underperformed for 3 months of the season and not displaying any players from teams who are making a real impact on the league must be due to a techinical error of somekind. Infact, Becchio has only scored 12 goals in 41 matches which, for a forward is average at best, indicates that this must be a list from the previous season.  Please rectify the problem ASAP before too many incorrect votes are cast.
  8. After Bryan Gunn''s comment about his nickname being ''Horse'', it''s gotta be...Grant Holt the Wonder HorseGrant Holt the Wonder HorseLike a streak of lightnin'' flashing ''cross the sky Like the swiftest arrow whizzing from a bow Like a mighty cannonball he seems to fly You''ll hear about him everywhere you go The time will come when everyone will know The name of....Grant Holt the Wonder Horse Grant Holt the Wonder HorseAnd for those not old enough, here''s the tune...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzpp58In8eo
  9. My favourite Donkerty moment - watch from around 1:30... The forward gives him a 5 yard head start and he still resorts to a rugby tackle to stop him. Then he has the cheek to look shocked when the ref sends him off.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj86h-CdJhs
  10. Nope... Think it was Ashley Ward against Bradford in the League Cup in 1995-96 when we won 5-3!
  11. How is this for an original chant for our Arturo....(Sung to the tune of that timeless classic, Snooker Loopy by Chas and Dave!)Super Lupoli nuts are weMe and him and them and meHe''ll show you what he can doWith a leather ball and a football shoe(OK - so footballs aren''t made of leather any more and it should be boot not shoe but still....)
  12. I''ve always found Burnley to be an OK away trip... We usually go for a drink in the Cricket Club next door to the ground before the game (and that''s where we park too) and the locals are welcoming and friendly, you can wear colours and the beer is reasonable. Having said that, I''ve never walked to the train station after the match, so don''t know if wearing colours would pose a risk!! Bearing in mind it is extrememly unlikely that we get anything from the game, I would say you would be OK.
  13. Highlights available to all for free from...http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/championshipvideoNot sure if they''re any better than the Canaries World ones though as I don''t subscribe!
  14. Usually the surplus squad players sit in seats behind the dugouts and, as you know, there weren''t too many of those available at Deepdale!!
