1.

Done the London Marathon 5 times, and will do so for the 6th time this year. A truly inspirational event that I would recommend to anyone. Raised £8000 in 5 years and hope to run under 2.55, all being well...
That is a seriously fast time SY! I would like that pace for a half marathon to be honest. How do you manage to get a place in the London marathon? is there a secret? Well done BC, always good to get a PB, should lead to better things throughout the rest of the year.
Marty, this year is only the 2nd occasion in 6 years that I have been successful with a ballot entry. I run for a charity regardless of whether I get a ballot place or not. My particular chairty request that I raise at least £1000 in exchange for a Golden Bond entry... No secret at all

 3. P.S Matt. I also don''t want or need to go to every game. I also missed QPR at home in September. Had a nice little holiday touring much of Northern Ireland. Definitely the better choice in hindsight... Enjoy tomorrow!
 4.

Very good from what I was told. Had other plans so I couldn''t make that one. Only 2nd game I''ve missed this season. What did you make of Bunrley away, Blackpool away, Nottingham Forest away, Wolves away, Cardiff away? Put yourself in a hole have we Juler????    :-)
You''ve also missed off Barnsley away, Derby away, Sheffield Wednesday away, Palace away, Sheffield Utd away, oh, and I''m going to be missing Swansea too. I also missed Plymouth at home a couple of weeks ago. I did make it to Forest though, how many brownie points does that one get me, especially as I could have watched that one on the tele?  What you don''t seem to understand Paul is that we don''t all want/need to go to every game.
Obviously I didn''t know EVERY game that you missed. Couldn''t be bothered to find out. What you don''t understand Matt is I am pulling your leg. You shouldn''t take things so seriously. After all, it''s not like you don''t dish out a bit of stick once in a while..    ;-)
 5.

[P.S I also have a season ticket and make a 300 mile round trip for every game.
What did you make of the Cardiff game? 6.

I bow to your superior support Surrey Yellow! Would love to know how you afford it all? Must be rich!
I book travel arrangements as soon as possible, and don''t go out on the lash every weekend. Helps to have a few airmiles to pay towards a few of the trips as well...
I have just read through this thread and have to say that you sound like a bit of a self righteous w*nker. You say that those that attend every England game are bigger supporters then those that go to half, give over. Have you considered that you live in one of the richest counties in the country, whilst most of the people on this board live in one of the poorest? You may £700 sound like peanuts, but half of the people on this board wont have that left in a month after paying for more important things..... like:- 1) Mortgages 2) Stuff for kids 3) Maintaning a Wife 4) Norwich City season tickets. This is a Norwich City Football Club discussion board, if you want to argue about who the biggest England fan is then go to an England forum. For the record, I am half Irish and half Spanish, born in England and have never been to and England game. But I have a flat, a girlfriend and a Norwich city season ticket. Im sure that when you go to sleep at night you will know that you are the bigger man because you travel around Europe watching England games. Personally I cant think of anything worse to waste my money on, except the bookies and drugs. My holidays in the last 18 months have included Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and Istanbul.  None of those holidays could have been improved in any measure by attending a passionless game of football with hundreds of detestable drunk neanderthals.
Clearly you have been brainwashed by the media. I know several Norwich fans from Norfolk who support England home and away. I know several fans who like a good drink but not very often do I meet someone completed hammered. You are obviously one of the thick deluded Norfolk idiots who has probably never been outisde of Norfolk who think everyone who lives in the London area have money to burn. I didn''t make £700 seem like peanuts. It is a lot of money therefore I cannot do many trips which you have mentioned. My trip to Canada in June will be my first EVER visit to see them. Years of saving. Passionless game of football? Like nothing we have seen at Carrow Road in recent years??? P.S I also have a season ticket and make a 300 mile round trip for every game.

 8.

The thing that bugs me is all those empty seats in the first ten minutes or so of the second half - for heavens sake if you''ve paid 100 quid for a ticket the least you can do is make sure you see the whole game!
I gotta say I do regularly attend the home matches & this is the one thing that gets me too Jim. It''s always around the halfway line & middle tier. Prawn sandwhich brigade methinks. Also, Surrey Yellow. Mate, just because we don''t want to upgrade to the ''+'' membership, doesn''t make us any less of a supporter than you. I''m afraid I won''t be suscribing to your views on this one. Although they are just that & you are entitled to them. Slightly off the topic there, but I never see any Norwich fans (other than the one in my group I go with). The last time I saw a Norwich fan at an England match was vs Jamaica just before the World Cup in 2006 at Old Trafford. The thing I like about international matches is all club allegiances get pushed to one side for 90minutes. I go with a Spurs fan, an Ipswich fan, a Palace fan & a fellow Canary. It''s what it''s all about if you ask me!
So someone who only goes to HALF of the games is as good a supporter who goes to ALL of the games? I don''t think so....

 10. The Torch, about 200 yards from Wembley Park Station, and a short walk from Wembley''s best chippy.
 11.
Try and go whenever possible to home games. Dont really go to the friendlies unless they are against good opposition as cant really afford to go to all the matches and sometimes watching england play in friendlies can be like watching paint dry. I went to the kazahkstan match and I think we are planning to go to the Croatia and maybe Andorra games if possible. The fact is you go to the england games and you really do see very few of the glory hunter supporters from the liverools and man u''s and you get a hell of a lot of lower league supporters going. I dont know if they are city fans but getting the train back to norwich after the games you get alot of people on there. And also I would love to go to England away games and im sure other people would aswell. But the fact is I and many people cannot afford it. I mean it is something like £70 just to join the + group and it must cost at least £500 alltogether to go to each game. Now fair enough you are lucky enough to be able to go but dont come on here critisizing people for not going away as we are not all super rich like you claim to be
From memory I think it is £65 to join Englandfans+ for 2 years (worth every penny if you ask me). It all depends where England play. For a trip to Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona etc you should, providing you book early enough get flights and travel for under £150. Early bird gets the worm. I tend to not ''drink the city dry'' like some people claim to as I have to keep a fair amount saved up for future trips. Just spoke to my mate from Colchester recently who went to Norway for the U21 game and said he spent over £150 just on beer!!!!. Either rich or mad I''d say  Obviosuly the further afield games like Kazakhstan you are looking at £700+
 12.
surrey yellow you should support chelsea with your snidey oneupmanship . In one post you sum up just about everything that is wrong with football nowadays .
Rock School summed up everyhting that was wrong with Lowestoft. FACT
 13.

Go to all England games home and away. Will have the privilege of being in Almaty in June. What plans have you made, Matt? Oh sorry I forgot, you''re not a ''+'' member.......
I''ll be happily down the pub with a couple of pints and I''d say at least £1000 better off than you. I like my football, both club and country, but money doesn''t grow on trees and I like to spend the odd weekend doing other things. Fair play that you go to every game, but you don''t have to get all high and mighty about it.
£1000!!! What idiot pulled that figure out of the air? £750 all in I payed. That''s including visa, flights to Riga and 2 night stopover in luxury hotel and onward flights to Almaty and 3 nights accomodation there. I have to keep a reasonably tight budget you see, in order to be able to afford my trips to the Ukraine and South Africa. I also like to spend the odd weekend doing other things. The London Marathon on April 26th being just one of them. Edinburgh Marathon in May... Trip to vist family in Canada in June... Cologne Marathon in October... Shall I go on???????????????? :-)
 14.
I was there with 7 other Capital Canaries and our flag up in L block. The Midland Canaries flag was also on display in the North West corner. Will be back again on Wednesday.
Go to all England games home and away. Will have the privilege of being in Almaty in June. What plans have you made, Matt? 15.
I know because i often go there having relatives in the city. Over the years i have watched games there in various divisions including the conference. Holds 12 000, still has a wooden stand, still standing for spectators, crowds of @ 5 000, this will be  typical [ apart from the distance] of many away games next season. At some of these  grounds it is possible that Norwich supporters may be in the majority!
Is it May 3rd already? My clock says 1st March which means we have 11 games of the season to go and are therefore still in the Championship. Let''s talk about Carlisle when/ or if it comes around. Our next 2 games are at Shepherds Bush, London, W12, and Blackpool. Why don''t you work it how far is to those 2 places. QPR is £25 (lower tier) and Blackpool is £26 if you haven''t already purchased your tickets.
 16.
i''m going tuesday and i was just wondering if there is many of us going. we really really need to have a good atmosphere like we did at wolves because i find that when we are loud the players seem to play better. NOT an atmosphere like at preston and yesterday because most of the time we could of heard a pin drop. so come on at lets get behind the team, they need us more than ever!!!
I am going. Only 30 minutes down the road.
 17.
It is with a heavey heart that i have decided to call it a day and terminate may season ticket as from 01/02/2009 .I shall be giving it in by hand at the club ticket office tomorrow .As a share holder as well ,the way this club has been run over the last 10 /12 years is nothing short of crimmnal . Div 3  is where we will be next season and i fear for a great many more years after that .So after 67 yearsof supporting the city thats it ,i hope the new generation of fans have somthing to be proud of in the years to come but i fear it could take a dozen or so years to recover from this mess .
So the situation will improve by withdrawing your support? Already renewed my ticket. Full time supporter through thick and thin. NCFC FOREVER.
 18.
I was listening to canary call after the match on the long drive back to Northampton and was surprised to hear a caller say that the crowds treatment of Fozzy was a disgrace because he wasn'' the worst player out there. For me this had nothing to do with his skill but his commitment. Fozzy is the captain of a team fighting for it''s life yet he just couldn''t be bothered. He ambled around the centre circle, didn''t get stuck in at all and most of the time looked half hearted and not overly bothered. This, quite frankly, is poor from any player...but the captain??? We need players who are up for the fight and are prepared to fight - Fozzy is neither. I was disappointed as well by his reaction. Ok i''m sure it wasn''t nice being booed and cheered off but to walk straight down the tunnel as captain and not stay on the bench to support the team is also unforgivable...... To be honest I hope Fozzy never plays for the team again....Russel or Pattison at least show some fight, some guts and some passion!!!
The player doesn''t give a F**K about this club. He doesn''t show the passion or commitment that should be a prerequisite for wearing the City shirt. His recent performances have improved slightly but that is only because he is out of contract at the end of the season and is desperate for a new deal. Clueless Bryan Gunn has to take some of the blame for the current shambles continuing. Nothing has changed since Rodent. Good job Fozzy isn''t on a longer contract.
 19.
I know under roeder you couldnt watch training as he closed it but because gunn is gaffer now can you watch training? What days to they train and can you park in colney car park? ta
Not sure mate. Why would you want to waste your time watching them train anyway?
 20.
According to the Official Site John Otsemober has put his signed boots up for auction on E-Bay. Let''s start you off..... ..and why not, he doesn''t use them! ....brand new boots for sale, one careful owner. Does this mean he will be playing in his socks next week - and wilol anyone notice if he does? Even he won''t want to be in his boots at the end of the season.
Otsemopoor''s boots on ebay! Whatever next. Do they come with a health warning? Try these and you''ll become a lazy sod for 90 minutes.
 21.
and play who?
Look at our squad list. You should see Stuart Nelson (GK), Declan Rudd (GK) There''s your answer.
 22.
The only change i would make to the team is David Marshall, look at the games we have lost so many valuable points due to his unforced mistakes, besides that his distribution of the ball is very poor (hoof), very poor at gathering crosses and hates to come off his line. I know all goalkeepers make mistakes but due to his errors we are in this mess, i believe its time for a change before its to late. On the ball city
Been saying it all season. Not the same player he was last season. Drop him and that other useless waste of space fotheringham.
 23. Why any Norwich fan would want a pitch view is beyond me. It''s not as if we don''t see enough of it anyway. 23 games a season is more than enough for me. Would rather spend my money on business class return flights to Canada in June instead.
 24.
Dwelling on the ball is when someone stands with it for too long and has it whipped off their toes - eg Etuhu... I agree with the person who said Fozzy has good composure, he knows when to run and when to pass, I said in another thread i regard him as, Tehcnically, Our best player... when he''s out we miss him and it shows.. he didnt have a good game last night agreed. but i bet you he will be top 3 in the player of the year votes! jas :)
He came off injured at Southampton after 23 minutes and we didn''t miss him at all. He had a shocker at Cardiff as well. Fotheringham is an average Championship midfielder, and very overrated in my opinion, especially on this forum...
