1. Sorry, that should be ''orange scum''. Gold, my left foot.
2. Scum losing, Gold Scum losing, city drawing away from home. I''m happy, thus far!
3. The £1 million from Shackell''s transfer was needed to plug the gap from when the Turners pulled out. It couldn''t have been used to help build the squad without putting us in fear of administration. Think first, post later. But of course, that would stop us from all having a nice moan, wouldn''t it? Silly me. I agree, Ellis. The board do deserve credit for keeping our best 2 players in the transfer window. A club in our position, both financially and in footballing terms, staving off Premiership interest for Clingan, is a job well done. Shame that all the numpties who a few weeks back were whining about how inevitable it was that him and Crofty were off don''t have the integrity to admit it.
4. Good God people, reading some of the idiotic posts on here, you''d think we''ve already sold him. What Gunny''s said is just a simple fact, it WILL be hard to keep hold of him if a Premier club puts in a big bid for him. We need the money, and he wants, and deserves, to play at a higher level. Until someone comes out and says ''We''ve agreed a deal to sell Sammy.'' you lot really should shut up and stop criticising the club for actions they''ve yet to commit. Try supporting the club once in a while, rather than whinging and whining about any and everything you read in the papers or on stupid, nonsensical rumour websites. Best supporters in the country? It''s a goddamn joke. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, you really should.
5. Semi is rubbish. To be fair to him, that alone isn''t enough to make me dislike him, as such. We''ve had a ton of rubbish players in recent years, but Semi is infinitely more frustrating because he clearly has potential. He''s just so goddamn hesitant and lazy that he never, ever shows it. I''d rather have a rubbish players who puts in effort, like Hughes did. Alternatively, i''d rather have a decent player who put in effort, like Edworthy or Steeno.
6. Don''t be silly. What Davies obviously said was: "I spoke to them earlier this week but they wanted to take me for the rest of the season and I didn''t feel it was the right move for me, in terms of the their board being evil batman villains who are stealing all the cash, have no ambition, and are sitting in their ivory towers cackling maniacally as they rip the fans off again and again. I could have been playing for Norwich this weekend but instead I''ll be lining up against them." And to suggest anything else would clearly make you a Binner.
7. He''s not a Binner, he''s just an idiot. Man Dad worked with him for years, before he became an ''accomplished'' ref, and knew him quite well. I can''t remember exactly who he does support, but it''s definitely not Ipswich.
8. Shackell going for the million or so quoted was the right move. Shackell coming back, albeit temporarily, for far less than that is also a good move. On his day he''s a very good Championship centre back, and hopefully we now have a management team to instill a bit of confidence in him. Fingers crossed our loyal ''fans'' don''t rip it all out of him.
9. The stewards in the Snakepit really are a bit too much at times. Sure, when it''s a boring game and there''s not a whole lot going on i can see the sense in getting the odd person who stands and blocks your view to sit down, but when we''re playing well, we''re all up singing, and the atmosphere is good it''s a real pain when they make us all sit and kill the atmosphere. Of course, they''re only following the rules, but other clubs don''t seem to mind looking the other way when it benefits the team, so why can''t City? It''s not exactly like we''re sitting in the River End and blocking the view of kids and pensioners, for crying out loud! The other annoying fact is that they''re so goddamn ineffective anyway. They need to stop asking people (ie, me!) to sit down while others in front of me are still standing. I pay good money for this ticket, and i actually want to see the game, not the back of someone''s jacket. It''s not rocket science. Get the people at the front of me to sit, THEN ask me to follow suit. Also, seeing as it''s always the same people who consistently stand, why not do something more than just ask them to sit down 20 or 30 times a game? Send a letter to their homes (they''re all season ticket holders, so the club has their details) threatening them with expulsion if they keep at it. Throw one or two out once in a while, even. I know that all sounds, and is, fairly contradictory of me, but, hell, if you''re going to do something, do it well. Of course, i''d rather they didn''t bother in the first place...
10. I''m happy with that. Move Grounds out to the left, because Drury just isn''t looking his old self and Ryan''s been useless all season, and get the Doc / Shackell partnership that looked so good in our unbeaten run back at the centre. Seems a decent enough defense to avoid relegation, if you ask me. Also, reading some of the earlier posts on here, it seems a large number of you owe the original poster an apology. Anyone got the balls and integrity to do it? Incidentally, i like Shackell, and think he''s a decent player. Sure, he''s had his fair share of poor performances, but he''s been at the club through a number of bad seasons when no one''s really looked great, so it''s a bit harsh to lay so much blame on his still fairly inexperienced shoulders. The boos he got during the Wolves game earlier in the season were embarressing, too. Good to see the lad back! Come on Jase, prove the doubters wrong.
11. Na na na na, na na na na, na na na na, na na na na, Notman!
12. Harsh on Matty, i''d say. He''d be well suited to this game. Good to see Darel back where he belongs, hopefully he''ll put in a decent shift and stay there for the rest of eternity. Nice to see Drury getting the game he deserves too. We can grab a tough fought draw tonight. On the ball, City!
13. Cheers for the link. I''ve not seen those highlights before, brilliant goal from Flecky at the end! Love the clips of the City fans going mad too. :o) I''m too young to have gone to the Old Den, but i''ve been to the new one once, and thought that was bad enough. It was when we lost 4-0 too, so i''m sure the locals were happy, but i still remember being a terrified teenager, especially when some Millwall fan saw us about to walk down some alley to the ground and just laughed and said ''You''re brave.'' We quickly turned around and took a different route! There''s not so many scary grounds these days, i agree, though i''m only going on what i hear from other, older fans, like my Dad with all his tales of football hooliganism! that said there''s still plenty of places to be careful, i''ve had trouble at Wolves away twice, Bradford, and Rotherham, though they were all outside the ground walking back to the coach / station / car.
14. Bell has 7 assists?! How?! Good god, i should wake up when watching the games, obviously. Fair play though, you can come and get the keys some time this week... ;o)
15. I''m confused. I know this is all about opinions, and football is, pardon the cliche, a game of opinions, but i distinctly remember Helveg being absolutely useless. Fair enough he was a big name, but did he ever actually perform on the pitch?
16.
yes the camera angle was terrible for the portsmouth match but!!!!   at least they don`t just automatically start with the big teams . coventry and torquay was quite high up the pecking order, bbc would have devoted the 1st half hr to man u v spurs  even though it was only on live 3 hrs earlier...i`m starting to slowly warm to itvs coverage [:D]
Actually, ITV sort of did that in the last round with Liverpool. They showed the live game, and then, three hours or so later, they devoted the longest highlights section to the very same game. Fair enough, it wasn''t the first game shown, but it was easily the longest. But then, ITV are all about Liverpool for some reason. Despite them being just about the most boring side in the Premier...
17.

The fact that they''ve frozen season ticket prices shows that they have the best interests of the fans at heart. This is one of the only times where I''m pleased to say well done board [:)]
You are easily pleased then. The product has been rubbish for at least the last three years We are in danger of relegation, and therefore the product will get worse. So our board, in the goodness of their hearts decide NOT to increase the price on an increasingly unpopular product. Everyone says "Oh well done" In any other business they would have been reducing the cost.
But this ISN''T any other business, this is football. Most clubs would''ve still put their prices up despite being in our position, yet our''s hasn''t. Credit to them for that.
18. Again, for the Crofty doubters: Who, in our squad, has set up more goals than Crofty this season? Honestly, i''m asking. I don''t know the answer, but i''d put my house on it being... erm, no one! And if Croft is our top ''assister'' then that''s not bad for a player who can''t pass, cross or shoot, but can only run... :op
19. Accrington striker, John Miles? Bah dum, tish! ..... I''ll get my coat.
20. I think you hit the nail on the head with start to that last paragraph, LGT. Bell may well be a better crosser of the ball than Crofty, but it''s a damn sight easier to put in a good cross when you''re standing around doing not much more than waiting for the ball to come to you than it is to cross it after running full pelt past a full back.
21. I''ve seen nothing from Bell to suggest he''d be a better option than the consistently hard working and dangerous Crofty on the right. And although Crofty''s crossing is, by and large, poor, i''d stake a decent sized bet on him being one of our most frequent players to assist a goal, though i don''t have the facts in front of me, and can''t be bothered to work it out anyway.
22. I don''t see the problem, The Prisoner. What ND said there is a simple enough fact to grasp, and just because you don''t like it doesn''t mean it''s any less true. The £600,000 that we used to pay off Roeder is £600,000 we can''t spend elsewhere, no?
23. The funny (or should that be sad?) thing is, i could''ve guessed the posters who said ''No'' before i even read the thread... Some people just love a moan.
24. I''ll add my ''yes'' to the vote. Appointing a truely Norwich managerial team on a short term contract makes damn good business sense at the moment, in my opinion. Hmm, the facts aren''t really supporting your ''95% of fans don''t want Gunn'' comment from that other thread now, are they Lincoln? You should try being a journalist, you''d fit right in! (No offense meant, Cam!)
