1. I''ve been keeping a watchfull eye on this thread and GNG deserves some credit! As we all know football transfers are far from straightforward and clubs attempt to keep their cards as close to their chests as possible. Looking at some of the rumours that were spread over the last couple of weeks it''s easy to see how people can be wound up! Although this also adds to GNG''s credibility as something along the lines of his prediction did come through today. Today''s quotes from Glenn also back up some of his other information regarding the signings that would follow this one etc. Thanks Gordon, dont let this thread be your last!
2. They''ll just have to hop on the matchday scum-bus I guess! (Not enough of them do judging by their crowds, yet they all crawl out of the woodwork on derby day!) I know David Patrick, he owns a Newsagents in Halesworth (my home town). I went out with his daughter when I was about 12! It didn''t last long with her coming from that background obviously!
3. I think you''re spot on Freeza! Without going back too far! I was gonna say Safri, but then his delivery was never great - he just fired in the odd thunderbolt!
4. Are big-spending clubs QPR and Ipswich not both linked with Clingan too, as well as newly promoted Forest trying to re-sign him? He must be rubbish then! If he didn''t sign for us (the same applies for any other player, rightly or wrongly linked) we''d get the chorus of ''there goes another target, we can''t compete, where''s the ambition, drone, drone, drone! I''m quite looking forward to seeing a dead ball specialist if he does sign - we''ve needed one since, er, er, ages!
5.
Yeah I love the guy, I''m enjoying this years European Championships more than ever before, really getting to concentrate on other teams other than England, I think theres a whole new aspect visible to the tournemant when your home team arent participating.
Indeed, there is - I really couldn''t care less that England aren''t playing now. We don''t have to endure watching their completely turgid performances for a start! Unfortunately I don''t think that Steve had intention to enlighten us all in this manner through his inept management of the national team!
6. I''m a warehouse manager. It''s properly soul-destroying!
7.
Well this completely contradicts the other main post about Good News, and as that writer would appear to be a grown-up I am more inclined to believe, that if any.
My thoughts entirely.
8. So we have our first and last games away - again! Surely one of those should be at home!!
9. Before the tournament began I thought that I would feel like slapping Mclaren but I couldn''t care less now. I''ve really enjoyed watching the games so far and it makes a refreshing change to do so without.... The ridiculous hype that surrounds a very mediocre England team The press focus on patchetic ''wags'' lording it up Enduring ''analysis and opinion'' upon England performances from those who last watched football ''down the pub when England played in the last World Cup''   All that pathetic England merchandise adorning the cars and bodies of the England faithfull Watching turgid England games - it''s generally a depressing experience, especially having seen the free-flowing football on offer from other nations If the coming games follow suit just sit back enjoy and appreciate some quality, entertaining football matches. I almost feel like thanking Steve Mclaren now.
10. I like both Mike Ingham and Martin Tyler as commentators Might be controversial but I''ve been very pleasantly suprised by Stan Collymore as co-commentator, he''d be my no1 choice at the mo anyway. Suprised no-one else mentioned him. Definitely James Richardson as Anchorman. Have to say I think the talksport commentary is pretty dire, especially Nigel Pearson commentating,
11.

We will be looking for scraps! Unless its been a very low key approach by the club. Low profile investment and strike when the time is right.   lets hope so cos if no money shows up which looks highly likely then we are in trouble.
Why do you have a problem with scouting the lower leagues?  I think it is a good thing, spread the net far and wide and hopefully unearth the next Michael Kightly, Dean Ashton or Jason Koumas.
Exactly. Why do people seem to have a problem with trawling the lower leagues for players?  There are players in the championship who''ve even plyed their trade outside of the professional leagues and still stepped up to make the grade. Of course it''s a case of searching for the odd diamond amongst the rocks and there''s an element of risk involved, but those players are out there and if they don''t work out the financial the stakes are often nowhere near as high anyway. Every club in the country will be doing the same.
12. Absolutely! Huckerby was not only a true city legend on the pitch but represented and displayed a loyalty and devotion to the club and the area which is all too rare in the modern game. Whether or not you believe he should''ve been offered a new contract, there cannot be a supporter who doesn''t believe that the least he deserved was the chance to receive a fitting send-off. I almost hope he does appear at carrow road on an opposing team now!
13. Paterson to Norwich = Cureton plus Cash to Scunnie? A possibility?
14. Martin Paterson to Norwich - Jamie Cureton plus cash to Scunthorpe??
15. I don''t really want to see Jamie go. I think he''s had a lot on his shoulders this season, no other strikers have been prolific, the midfield and defence have not got their share and the team hasn''t always been creating a lot for much of the season. He''s been trying to shoulder it himself - and as some on here have already said - trying too hard maybe.     Admittedly we''d be lucky to get anything for him anyway (£500,000 would swing it though!), his form has been patchy this season and he has missed some sitters, but his devotion to the club unquestionable and I''m sure he''d still make a good squad member alongside other strikers who could find the back of the net regularly - I feel confident he''d get his fair share.
16. Yeah, I live nearby and Beccles is a cr@p night out! Forget getting barred from a pub there- I''d like to find one with a few people in it first! C''mon though Gazzathegreat, Yarmouth can''t be a good idea - he''s more likely to end up spending the night in a crack-den than pub in that town! Maybe that''s part of the problem though - the small town mentallity. He''s a celeb in Beccles, the ''local boy done good'' and he''ll know that. No doubt he has a few ''hangers-on'' and mates that idolise him, probably p*ssing away half his NCFC salary for him! All those dozy little wannabe WAGS will be throwing themselves at him, the lad must think he''s well and truly made! In some respects it''s no suprise he''s turned into this supposed cocky w*nker type.  If Martin is to ignite his career again I think he needs carefully man-managing and maybe even draggging out of Beccles and kept where the club can keep a close eye on him. He has the talent to be some player so it has to be in the clubs best interests to do that.
17. I''ll be there! No inflatables, but I''m thinking about stuffing the pipe off of the vacuum cleaner down my trousers as a tribute to Dion! In all seriousness Dion deserves a cracking send-off, having met the him, albeit briefly, he''s not only a credit to Norwich but the game in general. As for Huck''s I suggest we treat it as a send-off for him too - If he leaves in the summer he''ll have got the reaction he deserves, if he doesn''t he''ll know just how highly regarded he still is by us all (as if he doesn''t already!). Should be a great day regardless of the result - I''m sure we''ll do our bit to generate the atmosphere!
18. Hucks - Worth another year in my opinion, his age matters beacuse his game is built on trickery and pace the latter of which has already declined. I don''t see him starting 40+ games a season but do think he''s still quality at this level and would also be a great impact player to bring on from the bench.   Fozzy - I like him and think he makes a real difference when he plays - just retaining possession and dictating the pace of the game. However, I also think we need a CM who will get on the ball drive forward and bag you a few goals each season and I do think he needs to add that to his game beacuse at present he doesn''t fit the bill and neither does Rusty. Still good to have in the squad and I think if he had a full pre-season he may be able to step up to that. I would definitely give him a deal. Doc -  Does a job at this level but is very one-dimensional, never fills anyone with confidence. I would like to see a CB join us who could be that talisman and rock at the back (as Malky once was, as Taylor could be?) and form a partnership with Shacks (improving his game too!). I wouldn''t be sad to see him go but if he came cheap enough I''d keep him as a squad player.
19.

I always think that the Xara shirts are too long! Does anyone else find that?   It''s don''t think it''s just me being a stocky fella either (although that never helps!) I have noticed that they seem to be really long on most people, disproportionately so. Looked fine on Peter Crouch when he was here though!
I''m 6''3" and like the longer style
In response to all the tall folk I still think it''s a bit long - just check out all the players in the launch video on the main site. They''re drowning in the shirt! I know two of them are Curo and Matty Pattison, but even Shackell is. The female tops are shorter but my man boobs aren''t quite big enough to justify that yet!
20. I have to confess that I know very little about the youth team players and the academy set up - but looking through this thread is pretty scary! Rangers snapping up Tom Miller is common knowledge now due to last weeks article and the general opinion seems to be that we have already/or are set to, release more players that are highly-rated by many outside the club, whilst keeping those not so well thought of! One of the things that our club has always been able to rely on is youth players coming through the ranks and making the first team on merit alone - it''s imperative for a club of our size and financial means! Someone please tell me this is all an elaborate joke! It sounds as if it''s all setting up nicely for the ''Roeder 2nd season nightmare'' at the minute!

22. I think that looks pretty damn good! (pity Aviva is in blue though!) I''m not a big replica kit lover but I think I''d consider buying that!
23. Moved from city to a foreign club and eventually joined an ex-manager of ours at his new club. Always had him down as more defensive than attacking.
24. Oh, Steeeeennooooo, Steeeeennooooo! Efan Ekoku was also quality.
