  1. and if it had worked out with Grant all the whingers would be saying what a great manager he is
  2. Several weeks ago Peter Grant said words to the effect that he didn''t feel that loan players were good ''value''. I know its early days and I''m going to keep my feet on the ground but I wonder what his views will be now, especially after 4 wins in 5, which has largely been a result of loan players. Brilliant result today!! A clean sheet aswell and hopefully our time in the bottom 3 is over!!
  3. too early to tell, I''m confident we won''t be in the bottom 3!! I think we should all ignore Smudger. Most things which are ignored go away.
  4. get rid of players as well as the manager. Croatia were up for the game even though they didn''t have to get a result!!! The England players all bar one/two should be ashamed of themselves. How much do they get paid?? Cos they don''t earn a penny!!!!
  5. Great result!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! England are Andrex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7.    Hi Andy,   Well said!! Thats one of THE BEST posts I''ve read on here in my short time of writing on the forum. You make alot of sense and Your Grandad seems to have been a great example to you. I like your realism, sensibility and positive attitude. A breath of FRESH air on this forum.
  8. Compared to just about everyone on the fans wanted list apart from Jewell, Coleman and Bruce    I believe Roeder is the best of the rest. Hareide was a good idea but lacked UK expeience. However, I think he could have done well. Some have been critical of Roeder''s record but just about every manager has been sacked in their time.
  9. Very impressed with Glen in the press conference. Not one to moan about his players in public. I hope he makes all the moaners eat their words. Great to see he has Premiership experience and will be bringing in all new backroom staff. Looking forward to a win on Sunday which will be a great game for all, which the fans and players will be up for!! And it will be interesting to see who he brings in with his experience and his Prem contacts list. Good Luck!! And lets make sure we''re the 12th man so we can start with a great win against those from down the A140!
  10. Yellow Rages Barclayman - I totally agree with both of you. I bored with the moaning and criticism.  Alot of this forum seems to live in cloud cuckoo land. The weakest link. Good bye.
  11. no more simple than all those on here who claim they know who the next manager will be!!!
  12. Hi Tom, I like abit of humour so see my post on the top 10 favourites to be manager. Back home most on here would go as whigeing Poms. I know the club is in a crisis as some call it. Its only football and a couple of wins would make life much more comfortable.
  13. could be Bruce as there will not be an announcement until next week. I think that also puts Labarski and Crook.....................
  14. 1. Mickey Mouse 2. Donald Duck 3. Captain Pugwash 4. Bugs Bunny 5. Elvis Presley 6.Tony Blackburn 7. Maradonna 8. Madonna 9. Paul Daniels - he can perform magic 10. Cat Deeley - it would be great to have some eye candy in the dug out. No doubt one day there will be a woman manager
  15. There have been lots of reiable sources for new managers, however, I can''t see them all being appointed!!!
  16. ...............................will be the man that the board decides to appoint. Its really quite simple
  17. I think the man who will get the job will be the man that the board appoint. Its really quite simple.......................
  18. How about him? Young, from a good footballing background and great success at a lower level.
  19. Re: Mike Phelan. Sounds good but not good enough as we need someone with a proven record as a manager. Either a young guy proven at lower levels and hungay to get a bigger club into the premiership or slight older more experienced man
  20. Simon Grayson has been reported in local papers as being high on the list. Unfortunately AAge Hareide won''t be coming at the moment
  21. This has apparently been mentioned in several papers
  22. Skysports.com understands Australia coach Graham Arnold has thrown his name into the ring to become the next manager of Bolton. Sammy Lee''s dismissal at The Reebok has created a Premier League managerial vacancy and Arnold believes he could be the man to fill it. Arnold has accrued plenty of experience working with both top level players and coaches, having served under Guus Hiddink at the 2006 World Cup. When the Dutch tactician quit the Socceroos, Arnold became acting coach but it is thought Dick Advocaat has been primed to take over the position on a permanent basis. Arnold is eager to try his hand in England and is also thought to be interested in the vacant post at Norwich. As a player, Arnold won 56 caps and scored 19 goals.
