To all of you who are celebrating, please have a thought to the few canaries fans stuck a long way from Carrow Road. I have just been told that they may be able to fly me back on the 27th of April. My original flight was supposed to depart on the 15 April. Enjoy it. From Quito, Ecuador, South America. All the best. "Hey hombre , una cerveza por favor."[B] [B] [B] [B] [B]
What''s it like in Quito? Isn''t it the highest capital in the world? More to the point, what are the women like and are there any decent pubs?

Parade / civic reception
dylanisabaddog replied to Bird Table's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Absolutely not. Anything other than promotion this season would have been a failure. Overdoing it now will just draw everyone''s attention away from the real challenge, which is the next 12 months. We have 2 home games left - use them to celebrate if you must but remeber, you are celebrating the fact that we failed miserably last season. -

I''m a bit worried about the trains to London on Saturday. If this is the ''wrong sort of dust'', will the trains be cancelled?

Belated thoughts on last night
dylanisabaddog replied to Jim Smith's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve seen every game bar about 5. I said haven''t seen us play particularly well "this year" - i.e. since January. With the exception of Col U away and the second half at Wycombe I don''t think we really have. We have been scoring late goals and nicking wins but have not been hugely convincing and if other teams had a goalscorer up front they would have made us pay. Lappin has been useless for 2 months now. So slow its unbelievable. Spends most of his time waving his arms about and shouting at people whilst chasing the ball around like a labrador. As i;''ve said above though I do think we will go up.
On behalf of Labradors everywhere, I wish to object to this remark. I do not chase balls unless there is a positive reward at the end of the game (biscuits etc) On a more serious note, I agree that we haven''t played well since January. Is this because we are playing teams for the 2nd time and they know what to expect? -
Any info on charlton tickets
dylanisabaddog replied to ncfc4life's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So this is a complaint about getting the correct tickets OK, in good time for the game. Release the hounds!
I wasn''t complaining. I was simply trying to reassure people who were expecting their tickets that they may have to wait a little longer than expected. The only complaint I have about the Charlton ticket arrangements is that everything was left too late. The cut off date should have been a week earlier -

Lewis is Championship standard if not Premiership....
I always thought he would be a good goalkeeper, but the Peterborough fans I have spoken to can''t wait to get rid of him -

My bank have just confirmed that £25 has come out of my account today. If you are going by train, it is worth checking with your bank as there are still some cheap seats available (I got mine for £24 return) -

Berbatov on. Not in the same class as Oli Johnson, but the same principle -
Who will take 2nd ?
dylanisabaddog replied to blahblahblah's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The away games that Leeds have left make it hard for them. Carlisle and Gillingham are both stronger at home than away (particularly Gillingham) and Charlton are obviously no mugs. Much will depend on Swindon''s game at Colchester but if they win there they have 4 very winnable games before playing Millwall on the last day.Millwall should win 4 out of 5 so it seems probable that they will be playing Swindon for 2nd place on the last day. -
Steve Harpers view on Fraser Forster
dylanisabaddog replied to Move Klose's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Never mind the Under 21''s, there probably isn''t a better English goalkeeper around at the moment, regardless of age. One of the many reasons we haven''t got a cat in hells chance of winning the World Cup. -
Three more wins and we're promoted
dylanisabaddog replied to Canary Poirot's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
2 more wins and a draw will do it, inless there is a big turnaround in goal difference. Millwall still have to play Swindon (and Leeds still have to play Charlton) which means that they can''t both get maximum points -
"But as Stockport are shiite, the chances are the bookmakers would lose more, by offering better odds on City. " Bookmakers never bet. They set odds so that they never lose money.
Yes they do. They lay money off if they have taken too much on a particular horse/team etc. They also employ people to bet on horses on course to affect the odds.

Carrow Road postbox
dylanisabaddog replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City

Thanks. I''ll look again tomorrow. In reply to ''Smith must Score'', Dylan no longer has a need for postboxes. The postbox used to provide entertainment for him in his younger days, but he is older now and just can''t be arsed to scare the postman shitless or eat my mail. These days he just lays in the corner and farts.
That''s strange............my other half thinks you must be talking about me ?
Seems like a perfectly reasonable activity to me. -
