1. well if your hoping for any mid-field flair coming through the lower ranks dont hold your breath.tonights reserve match against grays was just like watching the first team, the mid-field was woeful .brellier being the worst he was absolutely dire followed closely by bexfield who wasnt much better.at least eagle and cooper sometimes found a yellow shirt .grays got a dubious penalty but have 2 say the rest of the team did try but thats what browns been doing all season and we now how poor he is 1.arnold.didnt have much 2 do could have been sent in the first 15 mins for a heavy foul on grays no 10 but got away with just a booking 6 2.miller.showed some good touches.6 3.o''toole.solid enough nice left foot.6 4.brellier.absolutely awful and his attitude stunk.0 5.kelly solid big strong lad.6 6.halliday.won every header.6 7.cooper.worked hard.6 8.bexfield.awful.2 9.daley.pacey had 2 one on ones with their keeper fluffed both.5 10.yong.only one that impressed me,lively and in time could come good.7.mom 11.eagle. beat his man once.5 on this showing the future doesnt look good  for players coming through our academy and making it to the first team

6. there has been cover spillane who in my opinion is good enough also halliday when he was here
7.
The main problem with most clubs is that the 2 year scholarships for the Academy players finish at 18.A decision is then made as to whether a pro contract is offered or they are released. This decision is based on where they are at that moment in their developement. If you are Rooney you are fully developed physically at 16 and able to compete against stronger players, if not even though you may have the ability and pace and technical awareness you are cast aside to the lower leagues where the emphasis is even more on strength and power and less on technique. These players fed up with a constant battering from thugs at maybe conference level leave the game as they are deemed lightweight. Some who persevere return at 21/22 years of age  to carve out lucrative careers in football others move abroad where their technical ability is rewarded. Some even return to haunt the clubs that released them, but the majority through a lack of care disappear into the abyss. Chris Martin features at present not completely because of his ability but because he is physically ready for the demands of a championship game,he is at present able to compete, others by comparison suffer in partricular the likes of Eagle and Fisk.  Why do clubs who spend fortunes with boys from the age of 8 suddenly cast them aside because they did not mature at exactly the correct time.Patience would be a virtue with these clubs but because of the need for instant success and teenage stars they miss a trick. This then explains why clubs like ours spend money on 24 year olds who no one knows when maybe we should wait for our own home grown talents which may need a extra one or two years to mature.
Just too slow full stop i fully agree with your point hump, about developement but please could you square the above circle
8. looks like we have missed out again bloody arsenal
9. that wont make any difference supporter cos non of them are good enough and yes i have seen them play
10.
Has anyone actually seen him play?. Maybe he scores goals because the youth team have a good midfield unlike the 1st team
hump you were ask if martin should start  and i say yes start him looked good when i have watched him with reserves played great against luton
11. i say supporter are you chris martins dad or something cos you seem to know a lot of imformation about the lad
12. hey hump you obviously dont go to watch the 1st team like the rest of us as we havent ever seen earnie or hucks track back and we dont have any problem with our two best players you do make a good point about tracking back. though a very wierd way of going about it who are these other naughty attacking players who dare not track back
