1.

kdncfc - that is not what Mumby said so your interpretation is speculation which may be right or wrong. Regardless of what ever they have said or think there has been no serious public interest in buying the club.
That is because while the board says they are open to offers, there has been no serious bid by them to try to find a buyer. It''s all very well standing up at an AGM and saying the door is always open, but why can''t the baord actively go out and tap up investors?
Rather like wondering why your house isn''t selling before you''ve even been to the Estate Agent. It just ain''t gonna happen.......
 2.

...so don''t expect the fighters among us to step aside for a bunch of faint hearted pansies.
Another peice of Cluck plattitude, utter bilge!
Nice to see you using my phrasiology here Sqwet.....imitation being the purist form of flattery and all that..... Get back into bed with the rest of the pansies....
 3.

Oh dear!  The joy & celebrations of nicking a point (& almost 3) from us two weeks ago have disappeared as fast anyone interested in putting money into NCFC. We all knew you would turn in a good display against us & you did, but you only play us twice a year. The proof of your intent to improve would be in the next few games. Played two lost two. We have had to endure your gloating when you went up & and at our finincial position but what goes around comes around. Unless you start getting rid of the likes of Huckerby (has been) you will go down.  I would,nt worry about us going up until we sort our away form out. Jim will spend wisely in Jan, we have learnt from Burleys mistakes & hopefully we can make the promised land. So take heart sc*m, things may not be too bad.  In 5/10 years time you may turn things around.  It would not be unbearable seeing us in the Premier league you would get used to it after a few years!
I smell wee![:^)]
Bugger...they "moderated" a wee post I made the other day....How come you can smell wee when I''m not allowed to?       [;)] This is very urine-ist on the part of the moderators in my not so humble opinion......
 4.
I wish I had started my reply as a thread as I think my response is valid and applies to many of the current threads on here. As an ardent city fan I would be interested to know why everyone feels so terrible and negative as I consider myself as passionate a fan as the next. I am genuinely troubled by the fact that I actually think all that is happening is seriously begining to affect other posters health !!![:(]
Keep your feet firmly on the ground and the shocks are alot softer....I was staggered at how hysterical this forum became after the Ipswich draw...but it does explain how Smith has been able to manipulate the emotions of easily led City fans who haven''t known real failure for many many years..... Well...they are about to any time now and Robert Chase will become a saint when compared with the legacy Smith will leave behind..... As for Ipswich...are they doing anything different to NCFC in the Chase era and before? Good youngsters...astute buys to bring on...an inspirational manager...good scouting network....and very little money spent. If you ask me they are simply following the Norwich City model of old....while we''re following the Oldham one. We''re finally reaping the harvest having sown poor seed for the past 10 plus years of Smith''s tenure.....and all the verbal manure in the world won''t save the crop now.
 5.
....so Glenn if you''re reading this i would like to extend your way an invitation for me to personally sing the national anthem* to the players in the dressing room before the game. I will do it with passion and commitment and will inspire the troops for battle.   BRTIAIN, BRITAIN, BRITAIN! *personal requests are also considered such as Abba, Elvis, the Beatles or Daniel Beddingfield
Could you do a Kylie number in a short leather skirt and bobby socks for me?  Nah nah nah..nah nah nah nah nah..nah nah nah..nah nah nah nah nah.....Oh I can''t get you out of my head...... Not for me personally of course.......[:$]
 6.
ON THE AGENDA! The wine cellar is running low! The windows overlooking the pitch in the ''Top of the Terrace'' are smeared and grubby! One of the walls in Delia''s has greasy fingerprint on it! Eventguard need new uniforms! There''s a small stain on the carpet in the Gunn Club!.........WE have standards! Don''t let them slip! "What''s that Mr Roeder? The squad needs strengthening! What squad is that then?"...... enquired the nonchalant Chief Exec.....
Spot on as usual Mello...and behind the gags there is a very astute and insightful mind......... It''s all but too late now though guys....You foolishly bought the dream but failed to wake up before the alarm bells rang.  Fall asleep again and next time I fear you will wake up to a nightmare that will last for years....where Ipswich and City could be three leagues apart..... Pleasant dreams!......
 7. How very odd. When the apologists tails are up (a la our fantastic home draw against Ipswich who haven''t won away all season)...it''s somehow fine to throw their dummies out of the pram and get personal......Yet when things are flowing against their very limited mindset they want a group hug?.....Bless.... It doesn''t work like that I''m afraid...and just as you are happy to collectively "dish it"...you must grow up and collectively "take it"........This lame and gutless attitude is what has allowed our once proud club to become a soft touch for all-comers...so don''t expect the fighters among us to step aside for a bunch of faint hearted pansies. The term "you only sing when you''re winning" springs to mind....whether we''re losing or not.....
 8.
Buy some new plants for the office, relay the pitch and say everything is OK
Perfecto!....... Haven''t they been doing the same thing for years?
 9. Roeder was out of work...and so it was a simple case of  "any port in a storm" the same as the rest of us.  His personal financial commitments are sorted now for the next 2.5 years and good luck to him for that I say. I fear that as Wiz says...he will be the man in charge when the club drops down a league...which will be unfair on him. If I were Roeder I would take the money and stay the course...because just about everybody in football knows he has a hopeless task ahead of him...and will not think any the less of him should he fail...... He won''t be the scapegoat for me...although I''m certain he isn''t the man for the job. He will go down as the final victim of this Board when the plop finally hits the fan next May...along the 20 odd thousand season ticket holders who bought the dream........ Well done Smith....you saved us quite nicely thank you.......
 10. The best formation for sorting out the problems at this club right now is a squadron of Typhoon fighter planes...fully loaded....... Nothing else will do......
 11. I thought so many of you were saying that our players were quality but badly led....and that Glen Roeder was the new saviour of the club a week or so ago?..... My my...how fickle we all are.....
 12. I think I was one of the few who stated that you get very little for nothing in the modern world....while at the same time berating our hopelessly inept Board and the clown they took on as manager. The writing was on the wall for all to see...but unfortunately there was the usual hype and hysteria surrounding anything "new"....and as we know "new" isn''t always best. They were simply rejected "journeymen" chuffed with a contract at whatever club would take them....... Equally I think I was nearly unique in keeping my feet firmly on the ground after our "magnificent" home draw against an Ipswich team who hadn''t won away all season.... Some were already booking the open top bus...but for me nothing whatsoever had changed. Smith was still calling the shots...an out of work "quiet man" had been brought in to rally the troops...and the players on the park were just as crap as ever. When will most of you get a grip and accept the truth?..........
 13. This can only be yet another apologistic wind up......as I suspect anybody with such a dim witted view of reality could scarcely switch on his computer...let alone post anything. Enjoyable stuff though....and it keeps the the "Smith Out" pot boiling nicely.......
 14.
Okay?. Not the damn pastry cook, but Mr Watling, he bough Chase''s shares and thats fact, so lets nail this lie once and for all shall we?[:|]
Totally correct...and with all the facts and figures laid out before us I find it staggering that some still don''t get it...... yet they bleat endlessly when the good old sheep jibe comes out. I can understand keeping the magical myth of Father Christmas going for your 5 year olds....but this is plain ridiculous......
 15. Roeder was out of work...and beggars can''t be choosers. Do you reckon he would have come here immediately after he had left Newcastle?  Not a chance......... He has been waiting for a bigger club to come along....and because it hasn''t he has come here despite the obvious problems with the Board. Even if he fails spectacularly he will still get 2.5 years salary...and not get blamed for a thing.  It will be a case of "not my fault Guv''"....and he would probably be right..........
 16. Without reinforcements I can''t see any more than 6 points in there.....and the more they lose under Roeder, the more the spirit of our better (?) players will sink. Roeder inherited some decent players at his past clubs to bail him out....not so here. I have my doubts as to whether he can do little more than extend a personal honeymoon period....and even this isn''t going too well right now.....
 17.
We both keep saying this Royal Anglian, but today''s City supporter, seems to lack the fight and spirit, or balls in other words, to protest and complain like the fans of old did during the ''Chase Out'' days. Maybe they are just blinded by the cooks ''minus Z list'' celebrity status, or the fact that she''s a female, eitherway, the club and its wonderful fans have to suffer for the incompetence and stubboness of this silly woman and her husband. Fans also mistakenly believe that she saved this club from finacial ruin, that is totally not true, Mr Watling saved this club.......not her. Once the supporters realise and accept the truth of this, they will I believe, come to their senses, and drive her out!.
You''re right Wiz.....but add to that the knowledge folk like you and me have regarding the weakness of our fellow "supporters"...and eventually even the more pro-active among us give up. It really isn''t worth the bother while the happy clappers fill the stands....so we must wait until this circus leaves town and returns the club to it''s roots. Then we can return and make the club more ambitious whether it likes it or not.... If they fail then...we don''t give them our money through the turnstiles and merchandising. Advertisers will no longer be content to utilise the clubs'' "celebrity" element to showcase their product...so the Board will then have to provide a degree of success on the field in order to maintain revenue. Right now Smith and Co. can do whatever they like...and while the turnip crop keeps coming along they needn''t worry too much about the consequences. After all...they''ve got some nice infrastructure and "goodwill" value to sell on when they decide to do a bunk....so who needs decent players on the park?
 18. If the teams around us win...anything short of three points would definately spell pending disaster. Rarely does a club so far adrift so early make it back.... Hard to imagine us in a lower league as it has never happened in my 44 years as a supporter.... but we''ve become "little old Norwich" and "little old teams" usually belong in "little old leagues".
 19. As I''ve said before...only a fool would put free money into this club while Smith and Jones have absolute control of club matters. Turner hasn''t become wealthy by making bad decisions and he probably harbours an even more depressing opinion as to the predicament of the club than we have as fans. If we go down...there will suddenly be a bargain to be had....and Smith and Co. will flee with what they can grab. I''d rather he waits for a knock down price...thus putting money on the pitch rather than in Smith''s ravenous handbag.  Sometimes it''s a waiting game in business....and I reckon the Turners are doing just that....waiting for the moment.
 20. It''s not so much a "woman" who is stopping us from attracting loan players...but maybe it is Smith''s public image. It is a nonsense to say that our geographical location is the problem as it has never hampered us in the past when we were successful....so we return again to the "credibility" element. Ambitious players want medals and success...and there is no hope of anything like that to be had at NCFC under the present set up..... Players do talk....and I''d say the word is out that Norwich City is "persona non grata" for anyone with any aspirations to succeed. We are now "little old Norwich" in every sense of the term....and we know who we have to thank for that........ Credibility is possibly more important than finance for us right now....as the respect of others has to be earned...not bought......
 21. There is a vast difference between giving up the club and losing faith in the team. The club has been around for over a century and no doubt will be around for the next....but the present incumbents are barely a decade old and it is these people many of us have no interest in. This appalling squad has been assembled by Smith and her cronies...so the sooner they leave and hand the club back to the City of Norwich  the better. It''s true what has been said in that "once a Canary fan...always a Canary fan"....but there are different ideas of how to protect it...and some of us see withdrawing our financial input in the short term as a strike against the Board...not the club........ NCFC will outlast Smith and Co....and will no doubt outlast every single one of us on here......
 22.
Charlie''s dad   You don''t seem to grasp the point, NOBODY  wants to buy a league 1 team and you are a league 1 team in the making for sure! Your future is very bleak indeed!
The big difference between NCFC and Ipswich right now is credibility....and the fact that Ipswich have maintained their grass roots image rather than sell out to a giggly celebrity. Add to that the batch of good youngsters coming along combined with astute discoveries and there you have it. Not so very different to what we were doing just over a decade ago before the club sold it''s soul.....
 23.

Our only hope is that an unusually large number of teams go into administration, and subsequently receive a large points deduction. Prudence may yet save the day!
we''d still somehoe manage to make such a fist of it and get relegated! probably find out that big Dave isnt registered with the FA or something and get a minus 16 point deduction whilst everyone else gets minus 15... it could only happen to norwich! jas :)
My word jas!....Truly a man after my own heart with this fatalistic thought pattern......   Perhaps we''re related?      [:)]
 24.

..how will Glenn Roeder be provided with the level of financial resources needed for us to avoid relegation? Itsy bitsy spider.......... OTBC
I still dont understand why Glenn would come to NCFC without promise of funds in January. I say give the board until the end of January to show the ambition (or lack of it)
The fact that he was out of work might have something to do with it...........
 25.
A chum of Delia and the NCFC board.......Sorry Dennis - but you''re a menace.
Apologist nonsense indeed...Sorry Dennis you''re a pennis...(delete as applicable)......
