  1. Not bad XXL16!!! but I still prefer - ''The Stadium of East Anglia'' it has a nice ring to it and at the same time makes Portman Rd sound like a second rate whore house, which actually it is!!
  2. You''re relieved!? imagine my relief - if we had signed him, the retro boys would have had me eating custard pies for the rest of the season!!
  3. Of all the big games ahead, West Ham I feel is the trickiest, I''m not sure why but I just feel we may come unstuck. Still think we will win the league by several points, so looking at the big picture, it wouldn''t be the end of the world. Even so, I hope you are right about the West Ham score Christopher, I really do.
  4. How about Teddy Mac hanging on the inside of the net after scoring against his old club West Ham after they had slagged him off before the game!! Ooooops am I showing my age!!
  5. I''m already a believer Kathy, but hand on heart, did anybody [at the start of season] expect it to be this good? Still a long way to go but I''m totally confident!!
  6. This is a discussion board - different opinions, different views, a way of knocking a few ideas around, a bit of banter, the odd wind up etc etc If we all agreed with each other we would all be wearing retro shirts with Ashley Wards name on the back and trying to drag Norwich back to the mid - late 90s !!
  7. Yep, you''re dead right DumbleDelia, he did have one good game on his debut and seeing as you had his name on the back of your shirt over a decade ago, that''s good enough for me - let''s get him back straight away!
  8. "Damn good connections" - what theatrical connections?, cos your mate sounds a right comedian to me - ''Ashley Ward'' - he must have thought that one up between throwing custard pies!!
  9. Well it seems the consensus is to keep it as it is then, I still think it''s a naff sounding name though, makes us sound like a side from a market town, now if we were to name it - The Stadium of East Anglia.......... ok, ok, - well at least it would wind up the Tractors!! But if you are all happy - Carrot Rd it is then!
  10. When we have our shiny new stadium, anyone think we should rename it?, I have always felt the name Carrow Rd sounds a bit naff. Names such as The Riverside Stadium - The Reebok Stadium etc sound far more impressive. Southampton got it all wrong with - St Mary''s [sounds like a girls school]. Any feelings anyone?
  11. I agree with Silver Fox to a certain extent JS should be worth a place on the bench, the bench at the moment does seem over biased towards attacking players, having said that, We are flying with what we have, life has not been better for a long time. Perhaps that''s a sign of success - when any criticism - however valid almost seems like we are splitting hairs
  12. After refusing to sign an improved contract on at least 2 occasions and then letting your agent talk you into a transfer request and then advising you to move to Stoke City- I was just thinking Darel, do you ever consider that your agent could have advised you better?
  13. We already have a dynamic midfield pairing who occasionally have to carry an overweight,over-rated, lazy make weight, do we really need an old codger, at the end of his career for them to carry as well?
  14. Yep I agree, buy British - I would like to say a lot more but then I would have the Politically Correct crowd on my back!
  15. Leeds still have some decent players who just aren''t putting it together, unfortunately for them when they are relegated all of those top players will be off, the ones who are good enough might be lucky enough to get into a newly promoted team but then maybe not!
  16. I can''t remember the last Saturday when so many results went our way, in fact it was even better than that - all our rivals got stuffed!! Seeing Ipswich out of the top 6 kind of adds the cherry!!
  17. "Way below what he deserves"!!!!!! I may have lived many miles away from Nodge for several years but my pride in everything related to Norfolk has been as strong as ever, I can''t believe you said that Mook!!
  18. Surely a few handfuls of grass seed thrown around will do the trick with a garden fork prodded in here and there. 650k - MY ARSE!!
  19. Christ on a bike!!! 650k would pay for a roof for the stadium!
  20. Green - certainly Green - yes Edworthy - no Fleming - no Mackay - No Shackell - eventually Drury - yes McVeigh - poss Rivers - no Hendo not yet Holt - no Mulryne - no, too fat too over-rated Francis - yes Brennan - no Huckerby - yes Leon - no Svensson - no roberts - no Jarvis - not yet
  21. "Maybe we''ll see you boys again this season!" Yep mr Warnock, you surely will!!, just watch the telly around early May and you''ll see us celebrating after winning the 1st Div championship. Now take your team of losers and be gone
  22. Does it matter, 8000 hairy Norfolk arses will be sat on those seats and nobody is going to give a damn about the shape of a canary''s plumage illustrated in green seats!!
  23. Not sure what they are complaining about, when they feel the heat coming from our "Jet Heeled Striker" they''ll wish they were further back!!
  24. Anyone remember Joining the Southern League, straight into Division One during the 1905 - 1906 season, boy oh boy those were the days!! Expect the rest of you young''uns are just happy with a replica Huckerby shirt these days, Pah!! the kids of today know nothing.
