  1. +18.1 xg is a big part of the reason. Credit where it is due, McKenna is a star manager in he making, but, we did them today
  2. Just a tad, but borja is going to be decisive one way or the other...
  3. The two on josh, there was also the one in the first 10 minutes that didn't even get a foul...
  4. Give credit to the Ipswich management, I like the way he had them out doing some drills before we came out then, we could learn from that...
  5. Definitely will need another to win, atmosphere seems fantastic though
  6. He bathed through the back of him. It was one of those where we would have complained were it not given the other way... But they did miss a blatant foul on macullum just before that
  7. To be fair, this is a pretty damned good prediction, just replace Boro with Brom and reorder a bit.... So essentially one letter and an Eric Morecombe away.
  8. Whilst I agree with the talent pathway at the moment, as you say, it's a country of 1.5bn people, there will be some naturally gifted footballers there, they just don't have the focus on football for them to be spotted and developed. As that changes though, there will be huge talent out there... But this will mainly be a commercial/exposure thing I reckon...
  9. Difference is that the bin boys aren't a top team. They have rode their luck all season and got results they do not deserve. They have a good manager and belief, but not so much skill and talent, Leicester are the opposite, lots of skill and talent and have not got the results that their play has always deserved...
  10. Now all we need is for Southampton and Leeds to win and it's pretty much perfect (trusting the results stay as they are)
  11. Even if a pen were given then there's not a ref in the land that would have given a red! The ball was heading out of play and it in no way was a goal scoring opportunity...
  12. Sorry meant to quote you in the above... And just for clarity, I did read it (hence I quoted part of it), I already knew all of that though as I'm not actually an idiot...
  13. But they're not sovereign states, so technically they are not countries. They are allowed to participate in international football because they have separate FAs, largely because of historical reasons. The often cited reason for not putting in a GB olympic football team used to be because the individual FAs were concerned that FIFA would use it as a presence to strip of their own seats at the table. Being recognised by the UN is a country, being recognised by FIFA is not (for example are Gibraltar a country now?)
  14. As I say, they're not really countries in the pedantic sense, even that article states "Just like Wales and Scotland, England is commonly referred to as a country but it is not a sovereign state. " So I guess, yes, it does help...to support my arguement 😁 Just to be clear, I don't really care, I just like shtstirring on this subject...
  15. Being a pedant, that doesn't disagree with what I said, England itself is a pseudo country. It's like saying that cornwalls national anthem is god save the king...
  16. Just to be a pedant, England does have a national anthem, it's the same as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, it's God Save the King. The songs those pseudo countries sing before sporting events can't be national anthems as they aren't real nations...
  17. An alternative view may be that it is still a gamble for Dussledorf. If they have stuffe dup promotion then they couldn't afford not to sell him straight away if they bought him and the buying clubs would know that so could just go in with lowball offers. I doubt he would be a priority for a club like Bayern so they would just as happily walk away if it came to a bidding war... Having said all that, it is probably just agent hype....
  18. We may benefit as it wouldn't surprise me if there was a sell on clause included in the agreed transfer. To not have that on any deal involving a player like tzolis would certainly be remiss...
