Managing a National side is much different from club management, Sven; fantastic record in Italy, doing well at man City, but very poor in England job, Peter Taylor; good at U21 level, at one time groomed for full England team, but has achieved very little at club level. We can, and must do much better than him!
sven has one of the best england records ever, hardly very poor. didn''t do to well at the big tornaments but at least he got us there.

DDD In The Fine City replied to Stueeyc's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Shut it C.T, whats wrong with that for a first post? fair enough there have been some herberts on here today but that was harsh he''s got every right to an opinion and i agree with him, some of our best attacking footy has come through croft this season and he should have started. -

£5.5m. = sale of players registrations, of those players leaving the club (note 35, page 43 of the 06/07 Accounts) £2.2m. = purchase of players registrations, of those players joining the club (note 35, page 43 of the 06/07 Accounts). A bit surprised that you haven''t noticed the transfer activity this summer! Please note there are recurring (we hope!) revenues, e.g., season ticket sales, to cover the operational costs of the club, such as wages. /quote] What about agent fee''s, cost of hotel ect. where do you think the money for that comes from? oh! loan repayments. thats quite a big chunk of money is it not? why not take this into account?
If you look in the NCFC 06/07 Accounts, there are seperate account headings, they dont just lump all the revenues together as one figure and all the costs together as another figure. Secondly there are the recurring revenues such as season ticket sales, casual seat sales, catering, merchandising and commercial revenues etc. Like wise with recurring costs such as player wages, non player wages, catering costs, depreciation, interest, etc. Now one off revenues such as the sale of player registrations are shown as seperate figure,. likewise with the purchase of player registrations in the NCFC Accounts. The hotel which the club has a 30% holding in, has its own set of Accounts (thats bound to confuse you!)[:D]. I better not go on about capital items and the repayments of loans as that will increase the confusion. Have a nice day!
who''s confusion? what was the point to your post? -

Paul Jewell sighted in the city!!!!!
DDD In The Fine City replied to pickle's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thought he''d end up at Bolton but looks like souness is in there. the only way out of this mess is for a manager to come in that both players and supporters belive in, Jewell will have both of this he is the perfect man for the job. lets hope this is true and he''s here for that reason. -
3 D''s, Apart from the comments by others in reply to you above; how much longer should fans expect money to be drained from the squad? So far this season its £5.5m - £2.2m = £3.3m. Will that £3.3m. plus any money from the Green transfer (15% of any profit) should he move to Arsenal in Jan 2008 be spent on some QUALITY players that our team desperately need?
what are these numbers??????????????, where did they come from?????????. overpaid and underperforming thats the story of this season, the bills have to be paid it dont matter where the money comes from. -
are we just one or two player''s short of being a top six team??? a creative centre mid player and a centre half?? (and a manager and first team coach i know)
two in centre mid, left back, centre back, striker, manager with experience, board with money and more importantly with ambition.
back of hucks the man got worthy and grant sacked as he stopped playing under them and his toy flew from his pram did you not see his total change on sat grant asked him to help out at the backm when needed he never did well on sat he was the only player who would get within 5 yards of a bristol player he also played where he was put grant at qpr played him as a striker 5 mins in to the game he was playing on the left
if he got grant and worthy sacked cos he decided he didn''t want to play, then he also got us relegated and in this mess we''re in now at the bottom, what gives a player the right to not perform under a certain manager? no player is bigger than his club. he wasn''t that good on sat and still being moved all over the place. he''s the highest paid player at the club all i think is he needs to start playing more for the team and not just for himself. if he doesn''t want to stay then i say let him go.
get off his back... what he have said has been true. started when we got to premier league. he said in the press not to change the team to much.... roberts... went. malky.... went easton... went rivers.... went.... edgeworthy.... went mulryne... went mcveigh.... hardly used. incame helveg.... jonson.... doc.... what happened??? relegation start of these season... said we will miss safri, earnshaw and etutu, and said this was the worst squad since he arrived.... where are we at mo??? he is the only one talking from the heart and talking sense!!!
all we need now then is for him to start playing like he used to and not like a washed up has been.
