  1. Was just thinking how great I felt leaving Carrow Road on Derby Day... feels like another life now.
  2. My worst five are 1) Blair                            2) Patterson (Rated by Roeder - say no more!)                            3) Fotheringham (Roeder''s captain - say no more!)                            4) Charlton (Appointed as a coach by Roeder - say no more!)                            5) Hartson
  3. A lot of posters keep warning what will happen unless the board take decisive (do they know the meaning of the word?) action and ship Roeder out before he does any more damage. Rest assured if he stays it will be Division 1 next season, and our beloved club will be well and truly on the slippery slope. For goodness sake Delia, for once in your life be brave and decisive and get rid of this incompetent manager; get Boothroyd and Malky in pronto and then see us climb to safety, just as Forest are doing.
  4. The point is Roeder is not doing his job otherwise we wouldn''t be languishing at the foot of the table; remember this is his squad of players producing dross performances for the majority of the time with the occasional false dawn. Fans like yourself are doing as much damage as Roeder with your passive acceptance of mediocrity and are only helping to drive the club towards Division 1. Roeder out before its too late!
  5. I have heard recently from a strong source (connections with the club and several ex players) that Boothroyd is lined up to replace Roeder, and that the latter is losing the players confidence.
  6. Lots of verbals from Mr Callum but no action; still, he must have enjoyed the publicity!
  7. At home games, starting with Barnsley, fans need to clearly show their displeasure at the incompetency of the board AND Roeder; this needs to happen throughout the ground and be maintained before, during, and after the game. As several of you suggest, an arranged meeting time outside the ground to voice our growing frustrations and anxieties, and then in the ground and after again outside. At least its positive action and should attract some media attention.
  8. At the Barnsley game we need to leave the arrogant Roeder and incompetent board in no doubt as to our disgust with the plight that THEY have created for our club. Wake up and smell the coffee; we are in freefall towards Division 3 and obscure mediocrity. Lack of action by fans will only hasten the process, and confirm to the board that the majority are now resigned to what they consider to be the inevitable. Our beloved club is rudderless with a manager and board totally bereft of ideas on how to move forward. How about this for a suggestion? Whatever it takes get Roeder out of the Carrow Road exit asap, get a manager with ambition, man management skills and charisma in before the next league game, and then we might JUST stand a chance of survival. Taking no action at all, and tolerating the current situation, means YOU are no better than Roeder or the board.
  9. Great post; time for Roeder to go, and for fans attending the next home match to make their feelings clear to the ''knob''. Paul Jewell available?
  10. Excellent post and sums up the feelings of most of us. Sad thing is we have been expressing these concerns and fears for months and still Captain Roeder and his crew of Doncaster, Delia etc steer the Canaries ''Titanic'' ship unswervingly towards the Division 1 iceberg. You get the feeling that the majority of fans will still be laughing and cheering even if we sink deep enough to reach the murky waters of Division 2. Look at the table tonight and if results don''t go our way in the next league match we could well be in the bottom three. The board need to act now!
  11. Its OK....stop worrying about Division 1 next season because everything is going to be fine according to our dynamic and successful manager Mr Roeder. Over the Christmas period he is going to sprinkle magic dust over our already strong and talented squad and for the next few months they are going to tonk the opposition and absolutely zoom up the table! I feel so reassured by Mr Roeders comments regarding the massive forthcoming improvement I think I''ll place an early order for my next season ticket. In fact, as things at Carrow Road have suddenly got so much better, there shouldn''t be any problem in the board giving Mr Roeder four more games to turn things around, before showing both him and his background staff the exit and bringing in a manager capable of actually lifting the gloom that currently surrounds our club. Finally, don''t bother with the pantomime currently showing at our local theatre, theres more than enough slapstick and comedy for all at Carrow Road. By the way Mr Roeder.....''Behind You!!!!!''
  12. Despite frequent defeats there is a significant group of supporters who continue to rally to Roeder''s cause. Even more frequent are those comments made by more astute and realistic fans regarding his lack of man management and communication skills, total lack of charisma, and his lack of nouse when it comes to team selections and substitutions at critical times in the match. My granny could score from a set piece against the Norwich defence at the moment, so what is going on at Colney these days? The fact is that the odd home win is great and cheers us up no end, but our record in this league speaks for itself, and we must be eternally grateful that there are even worse teams below us occupying the bottom positions; but for how long? I think the ''Roeder Out'' brigade are spot on, and the board needs to act asap. Perhaps the Roeder supporters are the realists and are happy to drift towards to Division 1 & 2 obscurity? Happy New Year!
  13. So we are talking here about the Gretna whose attendence figures for their last home game was 501...... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/7279287.stm Compared to Norwich City who have announced excellent season ticket sales AGAIN and whose last gate was 23, 471 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7285089.stm Come on! Don''t be fooled by this tin pot board!
  14. Back in the day Championship Manager 2 used to respawn players under a different name when they retired. The practically had the same stats as the original player but just with a new name and 19 years old. If you put a 37 year old Eric Cantona on your shortlist and he retired at the end of the season at the start of the next season you would have a 19 year player who was Cantona but with a different name, who you could sign for peanuts. A friend of mine got seriously down the road with one game - so when asked what his team was in Yr11 Science classes he would say ''Cafu the 4th at right back, Maldini the 3rd Centre half etc etc. Our favourite player by a country mile however was Jurgen Klinnsman the 4th, who respawned as Helmut Jancker.
  15. Crispy: "I love football. I love NCFC. BUT I cannot justify putting money into a kitty for a Norwich City Player when this could potentially be a waste of money." So its only fair that we only get the board to do exactly this??!! Its all relevant. They pump in thousands because they can afford it. You put in a fiver or whatever you can afford each month. End result: we all show our passion for the club. Who says it has to be spent BUYING a player? It could go on a loan? How can we blame the board (and believe me I''m not a fan of Delia et al) for not spending money they can ''afford'' when we won''t do it ourselves? I think this would take some major organisation, but it would be so worthwhile.
  16. People have replied saying that they already spend enough on Norwich City and thats fair enough...This would be a voluntary contribution...If you don''t want in don''t worry about it. Just to write the idea off as ''nonsense'' is exactly that. Also - some posts have bemoaned the board - where has the money from other transfers etc - so maybe the fact that this idea has even been raised again forces us to think about the board and how happy we are with the way they currently run the club.
  17. I think this is a great idea. If the fund is kept in the power of the fans the board would have nothing to do with it. They could pay the wages, we pay the fee. There is often so much division on this message board but I think this is one scheme we should back whole-heartedly as fans. Lets set an example to the board and put our money where our mouth is!
  18. I think he has also Captained Southampton to recently - against Colchester on Boxing Day for certain as my mate who has a season ticket there text to let me know!
  19. I think Harold Bishop could have scored against us Tue night....
  20. He did have a good game, however I saw him play for Col U recently against Watford and he looked pretty average. He messed up big time for Marlon King''s goal when he attempted to head a long ball back and simply fell over. Taylor is a much better option. AMBITION!
  21. What sort of headlines would we read about NCFC on the back of the EDP everyday? Mine would be "Board: ''£10 million ready for Roeder in January''"
  22. Wake up and smell the coffee! Look at the Turners... they must be the most uninspiring couple ever. For them NCFC is a cheap way of having something that all rich people seem to deem the key accessory these days... a football club. Unlike Abramovic though or the Thai PM at Norwich all you have to do is pump a small amount in and then your on board... literally. Sod then making more money available to actually buy players and show ambition. The Turners are just like Delia, they want somewhere to go on a Saturaday afternoon to have something to eat, rub shoulders with the footballing ''stars'' in the players louge. I like Roeder, I suppose we do have to thank the board for his signing, BUT BACK THE GUY, don''t hang him out to dry!
  23. "Meat pie, sausage roll, come on fatty - score a goal!" Sung by Bishop''s Stortford fans to Basingstoke''s overweight left-back. Why didn''t we hear of this before John left?!...
  24. These protests, AGAINST THE BOARD, that are being mentioned for the 24th are neccessary. However, I''m concerned that they are becoming slightly fragmented. Smudger''s is starting from the Murderer''s, Ben''s from the swimming pool near the ground. If this is going to happen chaps lets try and co-ordinate things more, if it''s seriously sorted and publicised I think you will get some excellent support from true supporters who really want a change at their club for the better! How do we achieve this? 1) Web team - keep a post at the top of the message board. 2) Arthur Whittle - I think your the man to orchestrate this - even if your health permits you from attending! Lets get this sorted properly and let this pathetic board really know how we feel! SPARTANS...PREPARE FOR GLORY!! OTBC
  25. can it stop please... I know your message boards are about as lively as Ipswich itself but find somewhere else to be smug about your takeover!
